At the corner there you could add a foundation and place a billboard/sign giving directions for 'guests/travellers'. Also if you put maps near the seats they should be sitting half towards the train and half towards the town so either way you would have to get up look at the train map and figure out where one needs to go. Also you should set up a few shacks near the oil rigs maybe put some training dummies/ armor stands gear em up and make it looks like the oil is being pumped some people that only move when you aren't looking at them ... yes creepy armor stands that only move when you don't look at them. A massive motel should be put front of the train station well not too far in front and maybe have a sheriffs office/ jailhouse attached to take up the more ugly side and have it so the jails have been built into the rock
@@connordendyBecause the Megalosaurus is the only creature on SE that sleep and what do you often do in an Hotel, sleep. I just thought it was a funny name for that reason.
@syntac PSA with the windmill, no matter the wind it doesn’t power anything. It’s a different structure from the electrical windmill and doesn’t have the same properties. All it does is it increase the duration of gasoline in generators in its range, as well as prevent those same generators from taking damage in storms.
I love how with Syntac, something as basic as a train station is far larger and more complex than any build I've ever made in Ark. Mad respect to the dedication!
@@fightingfaeriei don’t think there is a conductor hat. Surprised there wasn’t one in the bob pack… big oversight from WC not having that with the train lol.
An idea for the area between town the station is stockyards or corrals. It was common to keep pens for cattle closer to the stations as trains were used to transport beef on the hoof. Farriers, with corrals, were often at the edge of town as well.
With signs you can do like: Main line and the sign will force -> Main line onto a second line. I see people playing with sizes a lot to try to force new lines but I never see them use so I thought I'd say something.
I had no idea you could do this so I went and tested it out and, sure enough, this works. It does seem to disable the ability to alter the size of the text though so you preobably need to commit to text sytax if you want to do this.
So Dave, one of the creators on the Monarky server, is building a train around the map and had to put foundations down and elevate the track using pillars to keep things from spawning in since spawns ignore the tracks.
This looks amazing. Absolutely love the windows on the A frame. Could add a livery stable / farrier in the space between the town and the train station. Perhaps a machinery shed? Corrals for livestock and a hotel would also fill in the space nicely.
I think some little market booths to fill up the space on the front side of the platform before the stairs could be nice, and you could even use it as a trading point if the guys ever stop by. A pego selling miscellaneous or stolen goods, or as a pawn shop could be funny! Oh an a restroom somewhere in the train station makes sense
I read this the first time essentially as "A Pego running a pawn shop in a restroom on the train" and I was all in, then I realized those were two separate ideas...
Maybe build a platform around the track split to raise the billboard? Create like a shack for "someone" to change track directions? Throwing ideas at the walls to stop those rocks spawning! Love your builds!
Suggestion for the station ticket booth would be to either make it a central island where people can walk on both sides, Or to have tickets on one side and a drink/food seller on the other side
Oh definitely do a central booth. I think most big stations are like that. Think Grand Central Station or even Zootopia lol. Have ticket and information counters
@mozelac5440 he stated several times he doesn't want to live in the town and that he plans on building his own personal base up the cliff because he doesn't want the town overrun with his creatures, breeding projects and such. I can provide episode numbers and timestamps if you'd like but it might take me a bit to find each mention of it.
Ideas for the space leading up to the Train Station. Tombstone Carver, Coffin Builder, Blacksmith, Horse Stables, Warehouse Storage Areas. Can't wait to see what you do. Train Station looks Great! Nice work.
love the look of the station. Couldn't help but notice that you're building a whole lot of the main structures out of stone. Remember that (while not as bad as metal) stone has decreased thermal insulation on scorched earth and can cause your character to overheat even when the outside is perfectly liveable. A way to get around this would be to build any structure that can give you the interior buff out of adobe (including the floor! don't make that mistake) and have everything else out of stone.
When syntac gets excited while building and I don’t know wtf he’s talking about. Ur a great builder syntac, I couldn’t hope to be as good a builder as u. Keep up the great work man
Also a nice esthetic to add to buildings would be a row of fence posts along the outside for hitching posts. If anything just for the look, need a place to hitch your horse, or in your case Kangaroo. Lol
A good space filler idea to put between the train station and the town is adding a stables. You can make it as big or as small as you like, some pastures or not, a wash station, as well as the stalls themselves with some big barn doors. Add some carriages for hire by decorating a cart, and fill it with Equus :)
In the empty space between the town and the train station, you could build an auction house. It was really popular to have auctions houses next to the train stations because it was so much easier, and safer, to transport the animals by train than to corral them to the customer
Who knew that the endboss of Scorched isn't the Manticore, it's the building snap points. The build looks fantastic though, I love that slanted overhang that you ended with on the track side. 👌
I'm pretty sure it was fairly common for the post master to be based out of the train station back in them there western times. That could be an idea for the second alcove
you might want to consider some routes where you can pass each other or parking spots for trains because you will all be blocking each other if you make multiple trains.
A train station needs some seedy toilets, a bar, a fast-food place or too. Maybe you also need a spot to load bigger cargo/dinos on. Seeing you on top of Launch inside made me realize that it is very much a human sized station. What if you want to load your kangaroo on to the train? Or your thyla? Or what if the barber is visiting his uncle two towns over?
It looks really good. It’s a huge train station. Always remember quality over quantity. So if people have to wait a day, I’m sure they’d understand. Visual storage mod has a crane, obviously storage, and remote crafting. Remote crafting wouldn’t help tho since it’s far from town. I know you’re all trying to stay as vanilla as possible. It would be a simple upgrade for the cargo side of the tracks and look really good. Nice job
what helps for me clearing the track is snapping pillars to the ends of each section, then snapping adobe foundations to those pillars inside the problem sections to block the trees and boulders.
35:19, its not western really but Id say a beautiful garden walk way to the station would be really nice, a casual not like a high end garden. Especially cause you could plant around that over turned theropod skull! That’d be so beautiful to see! Blooming patches of different short cactus patches with some nice desert shrubs behind them right against the pathway transitioning toward the station with some slightly taller plants. I can see some yuka or josha tree around the backs of the beds and maybe even some plant species Y as a center piece in different spots on either side and have them surrounded with cool cave plants to make it feel like a gathering and draw attention more toward the Y plant, especially if the cave plants glow.
Sale barn with a bunch of livestock pens use to go next to railways on the edge of towns. So maybe a bunch of dino pens and sale barn between town and station. Just an idea.
You could make little lineside structures to potentially get rid of the rocks, but they are usually small buildings on the sides of tracks and could probably break up some of the long expanses of track with something as well
40:46 may i suggest, if you extend the roof to both sides (left & right from the back of entrance). From the piller you have placed ( 42:33 ), without sloping the roof ( 41:53 ) till the end of each side. Also by placing glass window each side of ( 43:41 ) 👈🏼 like facing that direction, each side. And if add extra, If you place roofs slopped upwards from the stairs to the platform 43:29 see like here, if straight (horizontal) roofs on both side and from the back ( like the stairs portion ) if slopped upwards to the platform might look good...maybe....possibly 😂. So it's upto you brother. Anyways good content and we/i appreciate the content you make, like with each video there is satisfactory ending.

might have been suggested (currently binging the scorch videos to catch up) but I ranch might be a good idea for the town. It could serve as both your own main base with a big ranch house, a barn for breeding and/or tames, and an aesthetic fenced field for tames
you could make a phone booth or something where the rocks are spawning. there were phone booths around train tracks in the 1800s so it would be somewhat accurate.
You should have megatherium sitting behind the desks or ticket booths so theyre like the little shopkeepers. You could mutate them to have different coloured ones for different places too
Just seeing the train station gave me an idea where if your train is somewhere else, you can call it to your location by heading to a station and clicking on the red sign near the tracks🙂
With those open areas on the side you could do a small potted garden corner with some seating, I know Im going on about gardens again. On a different note imagine if there were more simple intractable/immersive animations and mechanics for wild animals other then a idle walking or a pausing to graze, more so if wild animals could interact better with their environment. Especially player structures, say lymatria land on or hover over potted flowering plants to drink their nectar and you could see little bits of pollen on the hairs of their feet, then they’d just fly off. With a super specific completely in line with the station itself a paracer comes over the rail with their neck and starts eating the potted plants like an elephant on an African reserve that have over night stays/accommodies and a herd of local elephants will take food off guests plates with their trunks from outside an open air dinning area!
If you extend your track left for your personal area a train yard might be able to fill some space. Add some carts that can be attached if you choose coal carts stuff like that.
Syntac you're the best!. How about a stable with a huge pen for equus. Maybe you could unclaim some breeded ones and have them put on for sale. Would fill the space between the station and town quite nicely i think. Love your content!
Maybe instead of the triangular roof sticking out backwards towards the platform, you could run just some regular sloped roofs along the top so that the triangle sorta connects with the roof over the platform? Then make a clocktower in the middle where the two roofs connect

If you're still not 100% on the end of the A-frame part, you could make the top couple rooves meet up with the shelter on the platform. Obviously, the top one would be the only one that would really line up, so the second one might need to be angled up above the stairway
Maybe a food stand across from the ticket stand and then some seating in the spaces with the glass walls. Cause you might be hungry after the train ride
You need to snap a pillar to the side of the tracks at the points where sections connect. Only foundations and pillars reliably block resource spawns. adobe pillars blend the best with the tracks. but do not snap it above the level of the track itself, or it will block train movement.
Hey Syntac really think you should add a snack area before they hop on the train or maybe do something about tips on the dinosaurs in ark on the walls or maybe even sell mounted wall maps
Nice job on the building. Maybe you can make a post office, horse stable and free range, a jail or a free range shooting area, a park with plants, seat area and fountain,
I like the front however, I do have a suggestion that would break up the front a little. At the very top where you have the full semicircle window, instead of the glass that you have there if it is possible actually make a full circular window there. I think that would look really nice if you try it and don't like it I would still love to see it in the video. I am loving the series so far!
On the back of the steps to the other side of a platform you should add a billboard to name the station to create an entrance to the station for incoming trains
You should build a horse stables with a bunch of animals with carts. Also should make a central ticket booth that is round with couch seating the glass bump outs
Building with Syntac: how to make the most beautiful but obnoxious structure to build ever 😂 I love how you really push the boundaries of what Ark structures are capable of!

On the back of the steps to the other side of a platform you should add a billboard to name the station to create an entrance to the station for incoming trains
Cargo area is great idea you should give it a try👏🏻
You should build a horse stables with a bunch of animals with carts. Also should make a central ticket booth that is round with couch seating the glass bump outs
Awesome train station syntac 😊maybe baggage area across from ticket office
The one thing that could be pretty immersive is add a toilet block to your station on that inside right wall opposite your ticket booth
For the space in between the station and the town you should build a breeding pen and make it look like a Ranch training pen.
that train station looks cool👍
Building with Syntac: how to make the most beautiful but obnoxious structure to build ever 😂
I love how you really push the boundaries of what Ark structures are capable of!
12:13 this actually scared tf out of me ngl 😂😂😂😂
You could make a waiting/ chill area opposite the ticket booths😂
I think just close in the first platform into a solid building. It would look neat connected to the A frame.
Happens to the best of us haha thanks for all the epic content Syntac!
Should throw a small post office off the back side of the station!
