- In this video I show you how to fix your EPSON 2720 printer when one of the cartridges stops working and you all of a sudden cant print a certain color. The video is kind of long but the process to fix your printer is very easy.

This video goes over the process to remove regular printer ink from your EPSON 2720 ECO TANK PRINTER. If you are wondering how to get the regular printer ink out and replace it with sublimation ink, this is the video for you. This process requires very little tools. All you need is a small screw driver, some paper towels and a syringe. Hopefully you have already bought your sublimation ink. The sublimation ink syringe that comes with the kit is all you need. If you haven't bought your sublimation ink kit yet you can click the link below and purchase your kit. Thats it! Once you drain all of the ink out of the tank and the ink cartridges, you can fill it back up with sublimation ink and start printing. Make sure you print a bunch of pages to get that last little bit of paper ink out of the system. If you have any questions please leave a comment down below. Direct to Film Printers (DTF Printers) are t-shirt TRANSFER printers
DTF Printers use liquid inks instead of toners or screen print inks (all 3 are vastly different). They appeal to larger custom t-shirt and on-demand personalization businesses.
Commercial DTF Printers are Key.
All of the comparison numbers and convenience of mass-producing dtf transfers are in the high-volume machines.
Single sheet, aftermarket manufactured style dtf systems are far less efficient and have more steps.
There are a few reasons for that:
An Epson color printer converted to be a direct to film machine still prints 1 sheet at a time.
That’s inherently slower than printing on a 24” roll. A commercial printer is inherently faster.
And obviously, buying dtf film one sheet at a time is much more expensive per square inch.
That Epson based dtf printer requires an extra step.

GOOD GREIF Thank You! I had this issue a year ago and just kept printing a purge page over and over and it finally worked. BUT this time that trick didn't work and I've been struggling for a week. HOWEVER -your suggestion of the Head Cleaning back to back...FINALLY WORKED Took me more than 10 and several days but ALL colors are printing perfectly now. SO thank you!

I just wanted to say THANK YOUUUUUU. I have been so frustrated thinking my printer is broken. IF anyone is dealing with the same issue I am on cleaning 22 and I am now starting to see colors ... started with Black always working, then yellow, but blue and red it has taken 22 times and is just now coming in very dark but I see the light!!!

I was about to clean the print heads from my Epson 2720 with a solution and I came across this video and you REALLY MADE MY DAY. I did what you recommended and my printer when from printing ONLY the cyan part when I did the nozzle check. It didn't print absolutely nothing else to printing a perfect page. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I've tried using solution to clean the print heads. Did purge files. Wanted to see if my lines were clogged. No they weren't. Came across your video and all I had to do is perform several cleanings. Worked perfectly. This works for clogs in the printer, too. I wasn't trying to remove ink to replace the ink. Thanks again. I was getting ready to buy another printer.

Same issue I am having. The yellow won’t print even with a full tank. I will have to change brand on my ink after these run out !
@@sadiealexis5737 I tried ideas from three different videos. Used a syringe with a cleaning liquid that I bought to clear the lines. I used the same syringe to pull the ink out to the head. At first it did not print, find out the the solutions needs 30-60mins to break down the dry ink. After 3 more head cleanings to my surprise it started printing.

yes you can do a power clean on 2720. Turn it off then press power and help (button with '?' on it) at same time. Itll turn on then follow prompts

I have just done 20 sheets of paper to clean my Et2720.. the black still has lots of lines, the yellow is perfect, but no color for magenta and cyan. what would you suggest now? Thanks for the video anyway!
Make sure you have ink in the printer. I didn’t realize my C and M ran out of ink after testing it 10 months ago.

@@brendafogerty1685 It just depends on the image. A round 8-10” image is different than a more rectangular image. Email us the images and we can lay the gang sheet out for you and let you know. We also have a Canva video teaching you how to make a gang sheet using Canva pro.

@@StraightOuttaContent that is what I use it for. I bought a larger format printer and now I barely use the 2720. I wanted to use it to print my invoices and it wasn't working. You guys helped me to be able to print again without having to purchase a new printer. Thanks again.
Just watched your video and not sure if you know this about the ET-2720 printer. With the power off, hold the ? (help) button and the power button down until the printer powers up. This will put the printer into POWER CLEAN mode.
Be aware that this will suck out a lot of ink from all the colors and dump it into the maintenance tank. Better to just download some purge files for the colors you are having problems with.

My black isn’t working. When I go to fill the ink the bottle stops adding the ink and I can see that it’s completely empty in the front. However the cartridge(I think it’s called damper) in the inside still has ink. I have no idea what to do. 😢

I have an 2720 eco tank and I’ve did all of the cleaning reset to factory and I’m getting a blank page Andy suggestions. My ink is full but for some reason it’s not making its way to the cartridges inside the printer

Soooo I’ve done about 50 print cleaning and it’s exactly the same! All the colors are fine except black. Do o keep doing test prints?

You can do a power wash on the 2720. You have to press the start and ? Mark button at the same time to bring up the power wash setting hold down both until the new screen opens. Then start power wash. Don’t do this too many times or your waste tank will get full and you will get a repair error and then you will need a new waste tank key code. To get that RUclips waste tank key code. Hope that helps someone.

Trust me you do not want to buy that printer and convert it. If you are looking for a full color solution then check out our latest videos. DTF is the way to go.
You can do a power cleaning on the Epson ET-2720 (but) that printer has one reserve tank for the waste that if it fills up you will have to buy another reserve tank if I'm naming it correctly. Not recommended but it is possible by doing this... After the message to visit the following website, press OK then turn the printer off, ink levels have to beat least 1/3 full because the power cleaning will use alot of ink. Next step is to hold down the (Power) button and the (?) Question Mark Help button (Hold both down at the same time) until you see the screen turn on for the power clean. It will then ask you (Run Power Cleaning?) you click (OK) to confirm YES and the Power Cleaning will begin. You cannot Run Power Clean more than once within 24 hours or it will cause issues which I can't explain the details here. When Done you cannot print anything for another 12 Hours, so let your printer sit for 12 hours, after 12 hours you can start printing an image with different colors and see the results. Remember Power Cleaning is the Last step after trying all other options. Unless you can open up the printer and suction out the ink from the 4 tubes with a plastic 10mil & 50mil syringe and a 4" needle which are used to unclog the printer tubes but that's for the ones who know how.

It’s just devastating knowing at one time you pushed sublimation and gave up, yes when you leave it sit it’s going to dry up but keep going and do the cleaning 5/10 times back to back than the nozzle ck it’s not garbage it’s reg maintenance.
I recommend anyone doing Sublimation to once a week set a timer to run a nozzle check on that printer using reg printer paper and it will fix the long term issue. It’s a successful business where DTF wasn’t tested long enough. You can even do your own DTF at home buying the powder and paper on Amazon and be able to make DTF at home and use cotton shirts. Check TikTok they’ll step you through the home DTF process.
I think y’all decided to go another direction and stared selling DTF but who can sell a $20/$22 Tshirt and buy a $20 DTF? You make NOTHING at all unless you’re doing wholesale DTF small business owners can’t grow paying retail prices.
You wouldn’t tell your kids to give up if they can’t tie their shoes you’re not going to say forget that we’ll buy Velcro at the age of 10 you’re going to keep on pushing them so you should do that to your viewers.

I have been watching a lot of videos about the 2720 and I have seen mention that using the wifi from your computer to your printer can cause lines! I m moving my printer to my desk tomorrow and I will see if that does clear it up.

I check my ink level on the computer and it was telling me my ink levels was low I try to refill and notice the ink linking out from the side I’m frustrated

I do full page prints using photo glossy paper and just the other day it started leaving faded image at the end not so bad but it bugs me that it’s there. So basically it’ll print fine till the very end of the page comes out faded. Did cleaning and alignments mine has regular ink I have orders to do and it’s so frustrating 😭

i have breaks in the black how many cleanings should i do? ive done nozzle/cleaning 5 times and still my black has missing "spots"
