Thank you Buzz! Great gift ideas! I think Mrs Buzz would like a space organizer like or even a basket with bath essentials. If that fails, a little basket of her favorite snacks.
@@BuzzRetirementGarage it’s like you said, at this point, we have everything we need. We basically in the travel mode now with retirement very soon, so are going to spend towards that. My wife is not big into a lot of jewelry and is very casual as am I. We probably need a good spa day on our next trip. We did a couples massage when we were in Sedona. That was pretty nice. Maybe we will do that again.
A good friend of ours has really saved my bacon when it comes to gifts in the last few years. She works in a home decor store that Mrs Failure likes to frequent. I can go in there and she will help me shop for what Mrs Failure has already been looking at. She also convinced me to have a “gift drawer”. The idea is that I will shop periodically throughout the year and put stuff away in this drawer so that there isn’t a bunch of pressure to find something around the holidays, it’s already taken care of. The other important benefit is that if I happen to find myself in big trouble the drawer is already loaded with get out of trouble tools 😂. Don’t laugh, it happens. The whole concept of spreading the shopping out is a game changer. I get things like fancy socks, hand bags of all types, dish towels that say funny things, charcuterie boards, sometimes costume jewelry, things like that.
My wife tells me to buy all year, but I never do. That puts my back up against the wall every year. Fortunately, we just exchange with my daughter and her boyfriend. At work I would give the staff a $20 lottery ticket so that always set me back $300 but I don't have that expense any longer. I'll figure something out, I always do. Lol
Fun video. My wife's birthday is 2 days after Christmas. So I have 2 obligations to someone who doesn't need anything. Last year, inspired by a hallmark movie, we we went to Vienna. This year it is Venice. Spending the money on memories rather than stuff is priceless. Greetings from rural portugal
We gave a nephew a silver token with the compass points stamped into it for a graduation gift one year and it was well received. For Mrs. Buzz maybe she would like one of those whirly gig wind spinners to set out in the garden to look at or maybe a nice bucket (not a store brand) with some new garden tools and a kneeling pad wrapped in it. We were gifted a nice magnifying set, handheld and stationery, that we use a LOT these days as well as a jar opener. Our old AA battery powered flashlights were all just replaced with the lithium rechargeable Ryobi flashlights...and my mom latched onto one of them and uses it ALL of the time at night at her house. And one other thing we seem to make a lot of use out of that might make a fun gift is a label maker. Time to head outside, I have one more day of raking leaves.
Photo album-priceless! Especially put together by you. Might I suggest, add journaling along the pages, especially on the pics your daughter might not know what the pic is about. Maybe write a short letter in the beginning or end, about how much you love her. She will appreciate it this, even moreso after you have passed. She will also have your handwriting. “Experience” gifts are good. Is something coming around that your wife might enjoy seeing, a play, a concert, etc.
My grandmother did that and it is definitely something I treasure from her. And I echo what you said about the handwriting...I LOVE seeing her writing.
@@BuzzRetirementGarage Not sure how old your daughter is, but if she doesn’t appreciate it as much now, I promise she will later, especially if you personalize it in some way. I hear ya, on photos on the phone now. I am an avid scrapbooker, so I have albums going on all my kids, plus grandkids as they grow. I don’t even think my grandkids know what a “physical” photo album is.. lol.
Mr. and Mrs. Buzz, take a day trip on down to SW Ohio to Jungle Jim’s for some exotic jerky. And, silver and gold are always at the top of our list. We adore your channel. 😊
My kids have gotten me a few silver photo charms from Shutterfly. I love them! The are very tiny picture charms you put on a necklace. You just upload your special picture. They also do magnets of family pictures for me.
For Mrs Buzz, how about a manicure or pedicure gift certificate from your local nail salon? Or a facial gift certificate, from a local spa, feels good and your skin feels so refreshed. I have a beauty school near me and they offer them at really discounted rates because it’s the students doing it. Or tickets to a play? If she likes to read, a pretty bookmark and a little attachable light to read in dim light? Plus you can search for best sellers in her favorite genre. A fresh pair of pajamas is also nice.
The Gem-Tree looks cool! Thanks for the shoutout. Silver is always a good present around here. 🙂 They have Christmas themed art bars that are awesome as Christmas gifts.
A couple gift ideas... Guidepost magazine or her favorite subscription, flavored tea if she is a tea drinker (Tea Forte), or a gift card for no guilt spending.

Great ideas Buzz! We are at the age where we don’t buy each other gifts for Christmas. We know everyone is different but we prefer experiencing the magic of Christmas through our grandkids and we still have our special needs son at home too.
Diamond Painting is good. If she is crafting they have monthly subscription crafty boxes. There is something called flower letters that come once a month and it is a book. At the end of the year you have read a book that has been in letters instead of chapters.
Well I don’t have any suggestion for Mrs. Buzz ! But for the kids and the grandkids, and any other kids in your life, I always get them a uncirculated proof set for the year of their birth. Yeah I guess it’s kind of gimmicky, but I always tell him if you keep it, you can always say, I’m not broke !

buy a bed side "landing or crash" pad, it might save you from accidentally rolling out of bed in a deep deep state of retirement sleep and land on your right side like a sack of potatoes WHUUUUMMPH, luckily I broke my fall with my face. I had a kangaroo steak$$$, bought a few for my sales team and cooked them in our appliance department GE Advantium oven.. Turned out nice, tasted like a lean cut of beef.
That's funny because a few months ago I actually did fall out and we have a dresser near that I grabbed but sorta got stuck in between. Never did that before! I'll have to taste that kangaroo in the next few days.
Been collecting silver and gold for years… my advice is to pick a reputable dealer. Do not buy it from eBay! A lot of fake silver moving around now a days.

Is the bathroom remodel a Christmas present?
Maybe throw in a heated toilet seat
Lol. I have to get it done before Thanksgiving. That was her deadline.
Some good idea's. Thanks Buzz
At my age it gets tougher to find things.
A nice pair of comfy slippers or maybe soft throw. Every few yrs, these can be nice gifts
