1 The kitchen floor tiles are fantastic, and the pattern is unique. 2 The staircase is a life saver in many eventualities, always have two means of exiting a building fast when you need to 3 make a fence stile for the wall to add a bit of your British roots to the place 4 Get that poor little dog a day bed in the covered outside area for comfort when he is guarding the place all the time, great job mate

The house is beautiful and the drive up makes it look special. I assume an architect designed the house right? You knew the staircase was there. I like the staircase because it's part of the architectural look. Also if you air BNB the room upstairs they could come that way. The outside part of the property gives the feel of Thailand. Of course the price is cheap when I look from America. All in all it's a great place.

    Congrats on the house.
Not sure what your future plans are business wise but I'm sure there'd be viewers who would pay to come and stay.... Like an Air Bnb through your channel. You could promote the whole thing through your channel. When I saw that floating house/room your neighbour was building I thought maybe that might be better... A little guest house etc...
Anyway just an income idea for you guys down the line.

Cheers Andy, that’s such a lovely comment. We’ve pondered about the airbnb thing, possibly we will go down that route in the future. What makes it trickier / more costly to instigate is the lack of electricity. It would need to be fully off grid solar like the house. It’s expensive because of batteries etc 🙏

Hi Mate, same here for me and the villa I got built, I would of changed a whole load of things now, especially I would of put in the ceiling air conditioner throughout, I would not have 3 floors, I would of placed drainage system on the third floor in case of leakages of the water tanks etc, I would of had overhangs for the windows, apart from that, I cannot think of much else.. Our internal furniture's and all else inside cost 3 times what the villa cost to be built lol.. The local builders bless them, it was their 1st time building a western style villa here, they did a grand job though, and used laser pointers for all drainage for the outside groundwork so when it pours down, their is no settling of water anywhere. Give your place another year or so mate, you'll see the amount of greenery pop up everywhere, One thing I noticed for your driveway, you have no edging to be seen, I hope the edging was properly concreted up mate, as it looks like it will erode very quickly if not.

Once it's furnished and 'non-echoie', it will really feel like a proper home. I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that it would cost, depending on where you lived, maybe at least 10 times more in the UK, probably even more in the South.

Also heard that Americans call those plywood sheds/structures they live in "FINE HOMES".. Is it true? If yes, why? What's so fine about it? (Sorry I'm assuming you might be american)

its cheap there. not very cheap, but good in price. what i had changed was not soo much unused space downstairs. and the lock on gate not a padlock but a doorlock.

be careful on those porch tiles in the rain, one slip and its going to get bad really quick.

Why don’t Thai houses have basements? Is it a ground type issue or they’re just not used to it. I know in some regions with heavy clay, they just don’t bother with it.

You may not use the outdoor stairs much or at all, but that is making your house look beautiful. At least, for me.
Did I just hear that you are not connected to the electric line? So all the energy needed for the home comes from solar? Are you getting the water from a well? If yes, what was the cost for it? Sorry too many questions. I would love to do something like this in the near future.
