Bravo Ben and Anna. 😊 Y’all have a wonderful slice of paradise here in Thailand. 🇹🇭👍🏻🙏🏻👏🏻
1 The kitchen floor tiles are fantastic, and the pattern is unique. 2 The staircase is a life saver in many eventualities, always have two means of exiting a building fast when you need to 3 make a fence stile for the wall to add a bit of your British roots to the place 4 Get that poor little dog a day bed in the covered outside area for comfort when he is guarding the place all the time, great job mate
Fence stile - what a great idea 😇
@@LifeinThailand777 you could probably make it yourself out of bamboo 🤣
Anna wouldn’t dare walk over it if I made it from bamboo 😅
@@LifeinThailand777 smart girl neither would I the threat to your wedding tackle would be too much to risk, but a solid hardwood step job would be no problem
Totally agree
Looks great guys. Absolute bargain. I love the design and although you may never use the staircase i think it finishes off the house asthetically. Thanks for sharing the experience and i look forward to the cost information on your power set up. I wish you a long and happy life in your impressive farm.
What a bargain! I'm encouraged massively by this to think that the dream house we are about to begin building in Bohol is going to be affordable. What an achievement.
I know it's took a long time to get there and it's been a headache for you at times but I think you've got a lovely home and at a very good price, I wish you and your wife very good luck in your new home 👍
Thanks dean 🙏
For that money I think you have done exceptionally well, looks like a solid build and very spacious. Hope it brings you years of happiness.
It's been a long time coming Ben, congrats on your moving in day. Every life is a precious life Ben thank you for not killing the ant.
🐜😆
Wishing you and your wife and pet a good life in your new home.
I love the tiles, congratulations, very happy for both of you, live long and happy.
🙏 Finally, you have your house completed. It’s very beautiful, and plus you have a good deal on construction. Enjoy your new home. Congratulation!! 🙏
Thank you so much!
Nicely done up, enjoy your home sweet home.
Waiting for your solar video 😉🙏
Cheers 🍻 mate
Thx for sharing your experience Ben. I enjoy your honest approach and the content of the videos. You don’t pretend as others seem to that your way is best or better you just show your learning. My Thai wife and I have land in Phrao and plan to build in the relatively near future and your story is giving me encouragement so thx again and keep at it, regards Murray, Melbourne Australia
Oh cheers Murray, that’s a lovely comment mate. Best of luck with your own build 👍
That's awesome. Do you have to put the land in her name?
It took a while but you can be proud of your project, so congratulations, I’m happy to see you moving in and will continue watching you guys as I’m very interested in seeing your garden and farmland developing 🤓
Thank you so much!!
Congratulations with finally getting the house finished. I wish you every happiness in your wonderful new home.
Excellent job. What a bargain build . Wishing you good luck for the future buddy .
Hi Ben, I watch as many rural thai vloggers as I can and your house design is by far the one I like the most as I think it looks great and the layout with the views from the kitchen windows to the views upstairs across the land and the mountainous background are superb, well done sir.
Wow, thank you
You are awesome !
Papa’s house in Naguabo, PR is wide open as yours! Just beautiful, wishing you many years of peace, health and joy!
We also use highly decorative tile work!
Love the floor tiles. You inspired me to put similar in my main bath. Love em😊
Thank you for openly sharing. The finish looks great you should be very proud.
What a journey! and all worth it. You two created a heaven on earth. Beautiful!
You can put a pumping system powered by wind .like the old-school windmills in Texas cattle ranches to control flooding.
Awesome House Man of all the People I no ,that build houses over the years yours is the nicest great job
Congrats 👏 oh and I love the tile 😊.
Thanks so much!!
Well finally you can move in and start relaxing! Well maybe not relaxing but at least kick your feet up a bit! Congratulations!!! I’ve enjoyed every minute! Thank you 🙏
Thanks chad 🙏🙏
Mate , once again great video , many thanks for the breakdown , gives me lots of ideas for our place when we build , by the way love the kitchen floor tiles , be interested in knowing the solar system you have put in , in time . the house look amazing , well done , and looking forward to seeing what you are going to do with the farm , have you any fish in the dams as could earn you some cash flow ,
We did have fish in the canals but Anna said she saw a huge school of them casually swimming through the rice paddies yesterday, so I’m guessing most have gone 😆😆
You have a beautiful house. I'm surprised by the comments on the kitchen tiles as that particular style is very fashionable at the moment. I think they look great.
House looks great Ben. Move in day 🥳 time to party. Anna's getting closer to the camera, come on Anna you can do it 🙂
😆😆😆😆
The house is beautiful and the drive up makes it look special. I assume an architect designed the house right? You knew the staircase was there. I like the staircase because it's part of the architectural look. Also if you air BNB the room upstairs they could come that way. The outside part of the property gives the feel of Thailand. Of course the price is cheap when I look from America. All in all it's a great place.
A beautiful home! Thank you for the detailed costs. Best to bury or paint the exposed blue PVC pipe. They will be breached and weakened by the sun. We recently added a ~5 kW on-grid solar power system for a large Sala (with two air-con next to the house for 150,000 baht.
I love your home and I think you got a great deal, I’ve been looking at the floor plans that you shared, it’s hard to pick the right one lol!
I know it’s tricky but if you line up a builder who’s able to adapt the design or even a separate architect who doesn’t charge the earth, then all designs can be tweaked to your liking 🙏
Well done Ben. Watched your house build month by month. Nice to see the final house finished video. Best wishes to you and the wife in your new home. 😊
Thanks so much, I enjoy watching your own Channel - I especially liked the rearranging of your blue pipes outside your house a few weeks back. It was very soothing to watch 😇
Didn’t see the bedrooms or really the upstairs layout.
Lovely home, good price. Once the garden and pool are done and it’s all furnished you’d be a as happy as Larry to own this!
I understand what you are saying about the exterior staircase, but I think it is very aesthetically pleasing, so I think it was worth it.
The house looks amazing. Love the tiles and kitchen.
I know everyone does it mate. I would put a hole in the wall so to put the gas bottle outside to be safe. A little leak could blow up your home. Enjoyed the video. Congrats on getting done.Very nice
Good point Thomas - I’ll get on that before we move in 🙏🙏
One of the nicest house / floor plans we have seen. Which model plan number did you start with?
@LifeinThailand777 May I ask which house model you started with?
Congratulations it looks fantastic and very peaceful
Yea, I'm interested on the off grid solar video. Have on grid solar, and it's been pitiful during rainy season.
As part of our solar setup we have a diesel generator that automatically kicks in if there’s not enough sun or battery power. This time of year it’s vital I agree 😇
@@LifeinThailand777 thanks. Look fwd to hearing your results.
Tiles too busy, you will get tired of it fast, however beautiful home ❤
So happy for u mate. Look forward to visit u one day
Brilliant, now enjoy your time your new beautiful home, well worth the wait, if this was UK , you would of aged more than 21 months, time is slow and patient is Thailand
Cracking house & best video I’ve seen on building a house in Thailand mate
Hey mate I've really enjoyed your videos over the past few months.
I almost feel like I'm about to move in haha.
You've got a warm friendly persona and the way you share things around the farm and town... Very cool.
Congrats on the house.
Not sure what your future plans are business wise but I'm sure there'd be viewers who would pay to come and stay.... Like an Air Bnb through your channel. You could promote the whole thing through your channel. When I saw that floating house/room your neighbour was building I thought maybe that might be better... A little guest house etc...
Anyway just an income idea for you guys down the line.
I'm sure many would love the random farm experience for a night or two :)
Keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing the place fully furnished and finished.
Andy
Cheers Andy, that’s such a lovely comment. We’ve pondered about the airbnb thing, possibly we will go down that route in the future. What makes it trickier / more costly to instigate is the lack of electricity. It would need to be fully off grid solar like the house. It’s expensive because of batteries etc 🙏
Good Luck to you Ben, your wife and money. Finally movi’n after a long wait.Congrats🍀
Thanks so much!!
Well done to you both. House is beautiful. On approach from the driveway the exterior stairs are the icing on the cake. Great kerb appeal!
I've seen those tiles in a few places , often in cafes ..... they are great ! I would even buy the tiles first and build a house around them 😀
Hi mate, I just stumbled on your RUclips site and I love your house. I agree with you on the front entrance and love the kitchen tiles. Well done and may all your dreams come true in your new home.
Thanks 🙏
Quite stunning !
Thank you! Cheers!
I think it is good idea to have that second staircase “
As most people will be asleep upstairs , and should you have a fire downstairs it would be a life saver to have an emergent escape upstairs rather than climb out the windows 😂
I’d jump outta the bedroom balcony into the plunge pool below, although if it was empty I’d be screwed 😆
@@LifeinThailand777
The cost ? For building it ?
I don't need a mansion like that. I just need a small like 2 bedroom house, like a hut. Dear sir and madam, please advise me. How much approximately would a simple house with land cost in rural Thailand?
Enjoying your videos . Where online did you find building designs for Thai projects please
banpatan.com our original design is bp16
Beautiful house. I wish you many years of happiness
I don't Think the video does those tiles justice look mint enjoy your new home
Long life and happiness
Seems like a good price. Your contractor did a great job at a glance, nice finishing. How many rai and how much for the land? Did you put in a Superficiary on the house as added protection since the land must be in your partner/wifes name?
12 rai cost us 600,000 baht 👍
Great video..we are looking at concrete...driveway and water system for house...and few other additions....good guide thanks
well done! very tempting to copy you, best wishes
Congrats on your new home! It is truly beautiful. I have one concern that is the placement of the gas bottle inside the house. You might seriously consider moving it outside. I have seen way too many gas leak accidents that ended tragically.
Yeah a couple of ppl have mentioned that. We will get it moved 🙏
Your house is massive and beautiful 👀👀~ Congrats!! You did good!!👌
Thank you!! 😊
Another great video Ben ….I think the stairs set the house off lovely regardless wether you use them or not…tiles look great…you guys can be very proud of yourselves. Looking forward to more videos from you. Oh my canals are full of fish I enjoy feeding them as I walk around the farm. Maybe when the wet season eases you might consider throwing a few into your canal?
Thanks nick. We’ve got a few fish in the canals already, but yeah maybe a load more 🙏
fantastic video, good luck in your new home,
greetings from Holland and Khon kaen
Thank you! 😃
You did put in a lot of sweat equity.
😆😆 this is true
I am dreaming of the day we will be living in our home in Thailand. Next year we will emigrate on a one way ticket and start building as soon as possible. Cheers.
Best of luck pascal 😇
Unbelievable cost....Wow. wish you all the happiness when you finally move in. 🇹🇭💯
Cheers mick 🙏
Absolutely love the tiles....💕💕💕
🥰🥰🥰
BTW where is the patio, and outdoor seating with good solid umbrellas with built in fans etc lol, and BBQ, all the guests you'll be getting soon will love it..
We’re waiting for a few more months until our troublesome puppies are no longer puppies and they stop chewing up everything in their path. Then we will buy outdoor furniture etc. (the puppies live outdoors)
Thailand is a beautiful country.
Hi there
Happy you are moving in , the house looks amazing and I wish you all the best living there , cost was fantastic and the much talked about tiles are what you both picked so the job is sound, good luck and fortune going forward from now
Regards Davy 🏴🇹🇭
Cheers Davy 😇
Hi Mate, same here for me and the villa I got built, I would of changed a whole load of things now, especially I would of put in the ceiling air conditioner throughout, I would not have 3 floors, I would of placed drainage system on the third floor in case of leakages of the water tanks etc, I would of had overhangs for the windows, apart from that, I cannot think of much else.. Our internal furniture's and all else inside cost 3 times what the villa cost to be built lol.. The local builders bless them, it was their 1st time building a western style villa here, they did a grand job though, and used laser pointers for all drainage for the outside groundwork so when it pours down, their is no settling of water anywhere. Give your place another year or so mate, you'll see the amount of greenery pop up everywhere, One thing I noticed for your driveway, you have no edging to be seen, I hope the edging was properly concreted up mate, as it looks like it will erode very quickly if not.
Very house and nice garden well done
I love your kitchen tiles !!! It’s such a journey to see your house come together ! The pool is awesome & gives you plenty of exercise to clean it . I also love the colour choice of the exterior of your beautiful house. The final cost of the house was very useful and very interesting to know.. $100 k not a chance to get this whole package in Australia 🇦🇺 or UK Or Canada.
Keep the vlog coming !!! ❤😂
Thanks so much!
Beautiful!
If you want those pipes for the water tank to last many years, cover them from the sun light with foam tape, isolation sleeve for air conditioning or simply with a thin layer of dirt.
You can do it yourself, no need for specialized manpower.
Enjoy your house!
Great tip thank you! We’re planning on topping up the soil banks as soon as the rain stops, so they’ll be buried 🙏🙏
Almost all Thai house's have some kind of outdoor cooking area. Your gonna need something for the wife and her friends when they come over to cook... Also I didn't notice any Air Cons installed... That's going to cost upwards of 150,000 Baht..
Anna is more British than she is thai, she likes a nice airy indoor kitchen to cook. And we are getting 3 aircon units installed for around 40k baht total 🙏
you mentioned that you did'nt install a downstairs shower for the guests and you didnt want the guests to come upstairs to use your CR. I think if I was staying there as a guest I would be asking if I could come upstairs to use your shower. Staying in a house for even a few days I would definately need a shower !
I meant in-laws visiting for a couple of hours, or if we host a party etc, it just means that it can be contained to the downstairs area. 🤣
The house looks superb Ben and Anna, you've designed most people's dream house I reckon, what with the land around it and the gorgeous views. Once it's furnished and 'non-echoie', it will really feel like a proper home. I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that it would cost, depending on where you lived, maybe at least 10 times more in the UK, probably even more in the South.
One thing I haven't seen though mate is your man-cave?
Best regards, Tony
You can’t get all that for £75k back in Blighty. Your videos are so informative. Soaking it all in for the future.
Lovely nice house great job. Just my opinion, Knock down the stairs so you can drive under, you need cover from car to house as youve noticed unloading youre car. Also you have plenty of area to sweep and clean....Enjoy your new home
Mate you have done good. I love watching. I have been married to Thai wife for 2 years and about to build house.
Thanks and best of luck with your own build 👍
perfect weather to see if the house is waterproof
What a pity they don't do those brick kitchen cupboards/cabinets with the recess for your feet here in Thailand. My back is killing me while washing the dishes. Would be awesome otherwise. What do you think?
I’ve not considered that TBH, but I’m sure I’ll agree once there’s a sink full of dirty dishes. I’ll focus on the view out of the kitchen window and my back pain will float away 😆
Wow ! What a great deal ! So cheap .
I must admit that I would rip up those kitchen tiles straight away :) But fantastic house, great quality and good price. wishing you happiness
Just came across your channel, awesome house it looks great, that’s a bargain for what you got 👍🏻
Thanks so much 🙏
House looks great, mate. What website did you purchase the house plans off as I'm looking for designs myself.
Banpatan.com
Looks great enjoy.
Nice, use it in good health and enjoy 🥂
Very cheap, you did great keeping the costs down. Their are always things you’d do differently after your done 😅
What a stunning home. Great value for money. Your own taste of paradise. Love it 🙏
😍Wow! That was cheap as chips!😆for such a beautiful palace! ❤the tiles Moroccan style! Your going to have so many years of happiness there! Away from the rat race. 💞💞
What a lovely comment, thanks Wendy 🙏🙏
Very beautiful house enjoy
My local garden centre has sheds for sale at near that price. Absaloute bargain and I can't wait to make the move one day.
Also heard that Americans call those plywood sheds/structures they live in "FINE HOMES".. Is it true? If yes, why? What's so fine about it? (Sorry I'm assuming you might be american)
@@no_clot_shot1128 English
its cheap there. not very cheap, but good in price. what i had changed was not soo much unused space downstairs. and the lock on gate not a padlock but a doorlock.
Well done Ben - you're in for Christmas!
Did you get the tap sorted in the bathroom sink 😂?
I did 😆
a lovely house and bloody good value
Worth the waiting for
Well done everyone 😂
be careful on those porch tiles in the rain, one slip and its going to get bad really quick.
Why don’t Thai houses have basements? Is it a ground type issue or they’re just not used to it. I know in some regions with heavy clay, they just don’t bother with it.
Very Nice house..🎉
Nice house
Love your house 😀
You may not use the outdoor stairs much or at all, but that is making your house look beautiful. At least, for me.
Did I just hear that you are not connected to the electric line? So all the energy needed for the home comes from solar? Are you getting the water from a well? If yes, what was the cost for it? Sorry too many questions. I would love to do something like this in the near future.
