Enjoyed the vlog. Don't complain about the weather too much. Think of us back here in Ireland and the UK freezing our you know what off 😅. House was lovely. Very nice.
Water the roots, not the leaves! Purchase some PE pipe (black) and place a soaking connection near every plant needing water. Apply deep watering over the entire root zone area until the top 6 to 9 inches of soil is moist. Avoid light watering as this promotes shallow root systems that are susceptible to summer heat and drought stress.
Watering from the top down prevents the entire plant from 'melting' to death in the sun - everybody I've ever watched watering plants out here, gives the entire plant a bloody good soaking, and the produce is amazing.
Loving the underside of your house……looks ideal to hide away from the sun and still be outside. The old boy’s house…nice. Simple. Plunge pool was looking inviting.
The puppies are so adorable! Love the video & especially your dipping pool 😊 The sunrise in the morning is beautiful! Those veggies are definitely Thai eggplants 🍆 or Aubergine..(used in Thai green curry if not other dishes) Thanks for taking us along today 😊
Great video thanks 😊love the house 🏠 living in the Philippines 🇵🇭 by the sea 🌊 now seeing 👀 your house will be building a small house just needs it for the weekend 😀 ok stay safe and have a great day 👍 love the dogs 🐕 go six of my own 😂jack Russell 😮❤
In my experience, from a cold climate, the finishings will be about the same amount. Electric (solar?/generator?), toilet (outhouse), walls, floor, ceiling, kitchen, seating, etc.
Hi Ben, thanks for your nice video. In November I will be coming to Khon Kaen for six months, I can't wait. You can peel eggs around your plant if you have a lot of trouble with snails, they have a hard time getting over them. greetings from Holland.
Beautiful and love your house more everytime I watch. Your little pool is awesome. Luv your Father In Law and his new digs. Really missing the pace of life in Thailand and Laos. Lived out in the sticks near Lampang. Pace of life so nice. How is the AirBnB market in Thailand? Treking was huge when I lived there in the 90's.
Great minds think alike or fools seldom differ, join the club. WE built a house next door to the parents and then a smaller one on the farm. My father in law then built a shack ten meters away from the pig box where he sleeps with the dog. We usually live in Bangkok but also visit the family home 40 clicks from Nong Bua and enjoy the family time and avoiding the stray dods.
Nice looking tiny house. We have a plot down the road from our main house, it's about 8 rai if i remember correctly. It has a U shaped pond that we are thinking about putting up a mini house to use as a guest house / airbnb. Dao's parents live on that property right now in a different building, but we're moving them to our big house as soon as it's finished.
Wow everything is growing so quickly &the lake is a beautiful colour! Plant is it figs? Wow that is really cheap! Just got to find me a Thai man! Have a great week. 🤣😆 💞💞
QUESTION How are the solar panels working out? I believe you said you were installing 6kW. I am not sure, but those tomatoes looked more like an egg plant.
Solar working great. We actually ended up with 8kw system but for no extra cost. No problems so far. September will be the big test I guess, with all those cloudy days 😇
At 6mins those are Thai eggplant variety they stay that small, they are the thai version of prunes...... if you have an issue with going to the toilet #2 these will get things working 🤭
Interesting technique to water/pressure wash the plants 😅. I would have thought that it's a good idea to do this in the late afternoon so that the sun doesn't burn the leaves. 🤔 Mad dogs and English men springs to mind, nice hat you're wearing 😊. I think I prefer your home to be honest, or maybe somewhere between the two.
It was only half finished. I’ll do an update vid now it’s complete, once I’m back in Thailand. And no ummbrella because I’m too worried about looking like Mary poppins than worrying about skin cancer 😅
Great man !,you.create your happy living in rural Thailand ,please suggest Mr. Ricky in Isan same as you did, but he behaved as outsider to his wife family.
Ricky’s a good guy, he has to move on at some point. Everyone is different, and who knows how anyone will act when life presents itself to us unexpectedly. Thanks for the comment 🙏
I’m going to build 3-6to tiny houses in the front of our property after the our house is done. Even being in a tourist area “Phu Kradueng” there are hardly any home stays, Airbnbs, ect. We are about 800 meters from the main bus station in Phanokkhao. The ROI is still insanely high even at 40% occupancy. Free rooms for RUclipsrs 😂
Wow! I am shocked. Quite an expensive little house. Considering how small that place is and how it has no real amenities I would have thought it would be much cheaper. I think you got a bad deal…
no I won't be flabergasted . I've had houses built for peanuts Thai dogs are great I've had over a 100 I would guess these past 22 years ,well certainly over 50 the costs are much cheaper here now it's getting hot and even early March it can get a bit warm It is nudging 40 C here in Sa Kaeo Who's paying for the father in laws place ,silly question ? not tomatoes ,it's aubergine never seen a coconut orchard ,see the trees everywhere but not a plantation ,well not here The stories I could tell about the builders here leaving all their crap after construction and I was a tradesman in London ,but they are something else A Thai would never ,I mean never talk to ,address or ,acknowledge a dog ,even their own ,they think I'm mad when I greet all the village muts I've really only seen paddy fields in operation once a year ,maybe the odd rai with water pumped from somewhere but it is just not practical or economical your Thai is about as good as mine but sadly I've been here 2 decades or so more no ,your Thai is worse I'm afraid that price is very good ,even for here sorry for all the comments
It goes in waves, love it while its working and easy to find leaks and repair. Hate , when i got to dig up 40mts of pipe that disappeared last time my lady got a few truckloads of fill delivered and nobody lifted the pipes...lol@@LifeinThailand777
get all your grass seeds down mate it you want a nice lawn the jungle will take over if u dont pump for the dam and make a tap down by it looking good mate🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘
going to be hot here in Ubon next week Mon-Thur 39,40,40,39 .... and shouldn't it have been " hen baan khun" (look house yours) ,unless his name is baan ! Those old style houses do look good, but I shudder at climbing those steps when older.

My wife uses the green fruit(aubergine) in green Thai Curry in the north.

Those round green Thai eggplants are delicious in green curry.
How amazing the cost of building a house in Thailand is good for you and your family by the way the two doggies made the show on your video.
WOW😋👏👍 AWESOME LIL HOUSE, GREAT OUTDOOR AREA👌 AWESOME WEEKENDER🤬👍
How is your plunge pool ?
Do you fill it each time you use it ?
How do you take care of it?
It has no pump right. ??
QUESTION
How are the solar panels working out?
I believe you said you were installing 6kW.
I am not sure, but those tomatoes looked more like an egg plant.

Puppies have gotten big, hope they are fixed . Nice tiny house

Thats a good price, solar with no batteries? It wouldn't cost much for a couple of batteries to run a few low wattage led lights for at night.....

Those green fruits are called Thai eggplants. They are delicious and are generally considered vegetables although they are fruits.
Use them in a sweet green curry. Gan Kee Waan.
Where is your umbrella? Why no steps up to the tiny house?

Nice area. What province are you in?
Nong Bua Lamphu province 🙏
I guess in my head basically the correct amount in aud $ 😁👍👍👍👍👍
Please keep going
Hi mate, do you know what type of land deed/title your dad’s land is. Is it a chanote?
Yeah it’s full chanote (red stamp)
Can you get fiber internet out there? That's the only infrastructure I'd need to live like that.
Not fiber but we get a strong signal
@@LifeinThailand777 Wireless is crap; latency and inconsistent. I mainline internet like I mainline smack.

Miss your videos
Tomorrow Gordon , Saturday 16th 😇
Wait 15 minutes for the key info?
Just finished my own 4bed house. This tiny house looks cute but not for more than 150k baht. Hate to see people getting ripped off 😢
I’ll do a video update when it’s finished, as there’s quite a lot extra I didn’t mention inc in the price. He’s not being ripped off 😇
Nice little house that. Lovely position too. It's all you need
Oh lord the pups are huge now
The puppies 🐶 are getting closer to that sofa upstairs 😂😂
🥴
Chiang mai still nice temperature 😂
Expensive 😮
Nice dialogue : Heyy chicken come to my kitchen 😂
Wow! I am shocked. Quite an expensive little house. Considering how small that place is and how it has no real amenities I would have thought it would be much cheaper. I think you got a bad deal…
It’s yet to be finished. I’ll do an update vid once it’s totally complete. There’s quite a lot I missed off 👍
Don’t kill yourself climbing up and down the scaffold
Don't you have a Thai wfe?
I do, she prefers to keep her privacy though, hence why she’s never on my vids 😇
14.20 What - no chickens???
“There’s no OH&S in Thailand” and you climb the scaffolding in thongs, 😂🤣😅😜😇
Eggplant from my Mrs
no I won't be flabergasted . I've had houses built for peanuts

It is nudging 40 C here in Sa Kaeo
Who's paying for the father in laws place ,silly question ?
not tomatoes ,it's aubergine
never seen a coconut orchard ,see the trees everywhere but not a plantation ,well not here
The stories I could tell about the builders here leaving all their crap after construction and I was a tradesman in London ,but they are something else
A Thai would never ,I mean never talk to ,address or ,acknowledge a dog ,even their own ,they think I'm mad when I greet all the village muts
I've really only seen paddy fields in operation once a year ,maybe the odd rai with water pumped from somewhere but it is just not practical or economical
your Thai is about as good as mine but sadly I've been here 2 decades or so more
no ,your Thai is worse I'm afraid
that price is very good ,even for here
sorry for all the comments
Don’t apologise for commenting, it’s great thanks 🙏
Blue PVC pipe. The lifeblood of a Thai rural property. A love hate relationship....lol
It’s just love for me and blue pipe 😇
It goes in waves, love it while its working and easy to find leaks and repair. Hate , when i got to dig up 40mts of pipe that disappeared last time my lady got a few truckloads of fill delivered and nobody lifted the pipes...lol@@LifeinThailand777
Makes you wonder why anyone would spend millions of baht in Thailand
I stayed in a tiny house in Thailand. That was made of bricks and was 5000 dollars and very beautiful. I can't post a picture of it.
That is not cheap 😅
My thoughts too!
That's actually not cheap at all for Thailand.
True. Not really cheap. We just looked at bigger Knockdown Houses for 160k .
Boss change the rules about shoes-sandals inside the house? 555
those plants look like thai eggplant
Cobra city
Mad dogs and englishmen........

"Hen baan" would mean "I saw your house". If he meant "I've come to see your house" then " Mah duu baan " would be most fitting 🙂
