Enjoyed the vlog. Don't complain about the weather too much. Think of us back here in Ireland and the UK freezing our you know what off 😅. House was lovely. Very nice.

Water the roots, not the leaves! Purchase some PE pipe (black) and place a soaking connection near every plant needing water. Apply deep watering over the entire root zone area until the top 6 to 9 inches of soil is moist. Avoid light watering as this promotes shallow root systems that are susceptible to summer heat and drought stress.

Watering from the top down prevents the entire plant from 'melting' to death in the sun - everybody I've ever watched watering plants out here, gives the entire plant a bloody good soaking, and the produce is amazing.

    Plunge pool was looking inviting.

In my experience, from a cold climate, the finishings will be about the same amount. Electric (solar?/generator?), toilet (outhouse), walls, floor, ceiling, kitchen, seating, etc.

Hi Ben, thanks for your nice video.
In November I will be coming to Khon Kaen for six months, I can't wait.
You can peel eggs around your plant if you have a lot of trouble with snails, they have a hard time getting over them.

Beautiful and love your house more everytime I watch. Your little pool is awesome. Luv your Father In Law and his new digs. Really missing the pace of life in Thailand and Laos. Lived out in the sticks near Lampang. Pace of life so nice. How is the AirBnB market in Thailand? Treking was huge when I lived there in the 90's.

Great minds think alike or fools seldom differ, join the club. WE built a house next door to the parents and then a smaller one on the farm. My father in law then built a shack ten meters away from the pig box where he sleeps with the dog. We usually live in Bangkok but also visit the family home 40 clicks from Nong Bua and enjoy the family time and avoiding the stray dods.

Nice looking tiny house. We have a plot down the road from our main house, it's about 8 rai if i remember correctly. It has a U shaped pond that we are thinking about putting up a mini house to use as a guest house / airbnb. Dao's parents live on that property right now in a different building, but we're moving them to our big house as soon as it's finished.

    QUESTION
How are the solar panels working out?
I believe you said you were installing 6kW.
I am not sure, but those tomatoes looked more like an egg plant.

Interesting technique to water/pressure wash the plants 😅. I would have thought that it's a good idea to do this in the late afternoon so that the sun doesn't burn the leaves. 🤔 Mad dogs and English men springs to mind, nice hat you're wearing 😊. I think I prefer your home to be honest, or maybe somewhere between the two.

I’m going to build 3-6to tiny houses in the front of our property after the our house is done. Even being in a tourist area “Phu Kradueng” there are hardly any home stays, Airbnbs, ect. We are about 800 meters from the main bus station in Phanokkhao. The ROI is still insanely high even at 40% occupancy. Free rooms for RUclipsrs 😂

no I won't be flabergasted . I've had houses built for peanuts
Thai dogs are great I've had over a 100 I would guess these past 22 years ,well certainly over 50
the costs are much cheaper here
now it's getting hot and even early March it can get a bit warm
It is nudging 40 C here in Sa Kaeo
Who's paying for the father in laws place ,silly question ?
    not tomatoes ,it's aubergine
never seen a coconut orchard ,see the trees everywhere but not a plantation ,well not here
The stories I could tell about the builders here leaving all their crap after construction and I was a tradesman in London ,but they are something else
A Thai would never ,I mean never talk to ,address or ,acknowledge a dog ,even their own ,they think I'm mad when I greet all the village muts
I've really only seen paddy fields in operation once a year ,maybe the odd rai with water pumped from somewhere but it is just not practical or economical
your Thai is about as good as mine but sadly I've been here 2 decades or so more
no ,your Thai is worse I'm afraid
that price is very good ,even for here
    sorry for all the comments

going to be hot here in Ubon next week Mon-Thur 39,40,40,39 .... and shouldn't it have been " hen baan khun" (look house yours) ,unless his name is baan ! Those old style houses do look good, but I shudder at climbing those steps when older.

    • @EighthSphere1
      @EighthSphere1 10 месяцев назад +1

"Hen baan" would mean "I saw your house". If he meant "I've come to see your house" then " Mah duu baan " would be most fitting 🙂
