If my mother lived in Thailand.. I would have a saving account just to go visit her once or twice a year ❤ I hope one day your son comes and see you in your amazing place ❤
I understand her as an American business woman. She has the guts to do what she wants. Good for her! That salt air just does something to the core of the soul.
By the time someone hits 50 years old, there’s a story of challenge (s) in one’s life. Jen has faced her challenges and has moved on. Not easy. I hope her son visits her soon.
Losing a child is one of the most traumatic things a person can go through because it goes against the natural course of life. So sorry for her tragic loss. Great interview.
Amazing story. Jen is so brave. I hope one day her son will visit her in Thailand. Im so sorry for your loss Jen about your daughter. If I visit Thailand I will definitely drop by to eat at your restaurant and of course hope to see you too Maayan.❤❤❤
wow!!! what an inspiring woman.....learned so much from this interview. it really got into my spine all she have gone through in her life. a big salute to this woman.❤❤❤
Stunning strong and lovely lady ! she has a beautiful place to live, and the gorgeous view is really priceless 😍❤Her "Habitat" is filled with a nice spirit, would love to eat there once and enjoy a little chat with her ! All the best to Jen and thank you Mayaan 🙏❤
This lady living the dream even though she has no major assets & staying strong even though she lost her daughter. I hope her son reconnects with her. Life is short.
What I saw from this clip, Jen, she still suffers a lot inside and now she has her own restaurant because she still misses her family life with her children. For me, I also suffered a lot and fortunately I found a way not long after that with the Buddhist way, started to learn seriously and practice hard, quit everything even friends, distanced myself from family life. Now I am much happier with a quiet life, do not need friends who are as busy as before, enjoy myself, prepare for the end of life, every minute that comes and make sure that I can choose the right and most perfect path to pass through. And i hope Jen, she will find the way and the answer to life and will be happy in nothing, in the happy emptiness. Good interview !!
Your comment is very inspiring. I am an Asian (Buddhust) and I understand what you mean by saying finding Happiness in Emptiness and Nothing. I lived in Thailand (in Bangkok) and moved to Germany (it is my home). I am planning to move to Asia, maybe Thailand in the near future. I am a Minimalist and love to spend time in nature. I have also distanced myself from family because of many reasons. But I found peace with letting go of people and things that obstruct my personal growth and peace of mind. Thanks for your comment.🙏
"The Buddhist antidote for the chronic misapprehension of the self is wisdom. Wisdom shatters the illusion of an independent self by revealing the truth of interdependent origination. Compassion . . . is the antidote for the self-absorption that comes about as a result of our chronic misapprehension of self."
❤ It was so heartbreak & emotional to watch her story. Jen is so amazing to survive all that situation. I hope her son will visit her very soon. I hope I will visit her restaurant next year February/March 2025😊 ❤❤❤ .
Bless you mama. I know this pain too…. Your story touched my heart and gives me hope. Next time I come to Thailand, I’ll come by for a meal… (and I’m a vegan too❤)
So many true words spoken jen, well done to you i am looking at retiring out there in the future. The uk is an absolute sh..t show now. Im happy to sell up everything and leave with 2 suitcases to start again for my retirement. The views amazing and great for anyone well done ❤ good luck for the future x
Everyone should remember this works for her at least currently. Does not mean it would work for you. Life is about choices. Make good choices for yourself.
Going back to Thailand this January for 3 months. If I feel the way I have the last 2 trips I am gearing up to sell my house in Toronto and move! It's magical.
Appreciate the story told here. Living in Paradise comes at a price for everyone. You can either afford this, or you can't. Most have to slog it out in jobs we don't really want. The brave refuse to be victims of our destiny. Thanks for sharing 👍
Good for you. Life is too short, enjoy while you can and I like to move to Thailand next year to early retirement and definitely choose beach place to retire. Best wishes on your journey. 👏👏👏
Great movie! I like all the different camera angles. And what a beautiful person your guest is! I am impressed by her strength and determination ❤ all the best for her ❤
I learned a lot from Hedi, the photographer who stayed with us for a little while. So now I stepped up my game a little 😂 thanks for being so supportive!

@@SweetLifeLantaI can tell you one thing right away! 😊 you look stunning with your hair back, like you did in the video. Less distraction around your face shows your beauty. I would grow it and put it up. As I assume it’s hard to find someone who is able to work well with the curls. ❤
Welcome to Thailand. In buddhism we believe that who passed they are at a better place than earth. I will die if anything happens to my daughter, I can live without her. You're so strong. I can't imagine how you can do it. Please Live Day by day & don't mind the negative energy.
Your videos a wonderful and so unique. Thank you for your efforts! Many foreigners have a similar story of losing their $ in the beginning and having to start again from scratch. I would love it if you could slip into one of your videos a discussion of how to properly invest in Thailand (real estate or a business) and avoid such a loss. Discuss not just the lessons learned but also the solutions learned.
So rare to see such brutally honest perspective on one's own life...and finally reaching a state of contentment like she did. Never once heard her blame others throughout the interview, nor play victim. This interview blew me away.
Finally a Thailand story of a woman! Only ever visited Thailand once for a month way back in early 2000’s and loved it. I could live there now but too far away from Europe the children and maybe more the grandchildren. Oh well.
I have a few more women stories on my channel. Have you watched this one already: ruclips.net/video/yM2_7g9vK7I/видео.html And this one: ruclips.net/video/g6jB3Yq-tws/видео.html And many more! Thanks for watching!
There are many Americans, not just men coming to work or start a business in Thailand. It's hard to believe how horrible and mundane the daily life is in the USA. South East Asia must be eye opening to them.
Life abroad in general is a better kind of life as a human being. Life in the USA became so dull and boring. Ive owned my house for 13 years and i dont know not one of my neighbors everyone is isolated in there well manicured homes. Now the winter is coming and its 5 months of being stuck home because its freezing outside 😢😢😢
❤🙏🏻for Jens story! She seems such a lovely gal & I understand how she feels. That view is stunning. She will get back on top because shes a survivor. Girl Power❤️💪🏻🍀🎋

When I heard she said “she is poorer than a box of rocks”, I disagree. She said she’s never been more content, that makes her “very rich”. I will visit her restaurant when I get to Koh Lanta.
often you see the richest people who are the unhappiest, loneliest, always looking glum and sad but the poorer who are happy and smiling despite their struggles.
