I very recently discovered your page. I'm determined to learn to ride this motorcycle the right way. I have a beautiful 2015 Ultra Limited. Good afternoon Robert. Still watching the first 3....Pounding it in...lol. I did and do this slow speed when coming up to a light... the car behind must have thought I didn't know how to ride cause they backed Way off. Testing next Saturday... Practice makes perfect or at least a fighting chance.... Enjoy your weekend.. back at it Saturday and then again Sunday and each morning before work. Again thank you.
Man... I cannot waitnto get my certificate and license. Classes are backed up to Mid July. 😳 ugh! In the meantime, I’m just watching videos and visualizing the technical aspects taught. Can’t wait!
I'm a beginner, just about to start riding. recently discovered your ch. Ty for teaching great fundamentals. I have already learned so much & only few lessons in on your ch. Ty for taking your time teaching, & ty for doing it in a way I can understand! I can tell learning the right way from the get go is going to be sooo helpful!!
This is a cool exercise, and it also helps to "trust and believe" that the bike absolutely will-not-fall as long as it's moving! Even if it's moving slow. I still will have to put my foot down occasionally when the brain forgets and goes into fear mode, but that's ok! As long as those times become less and less frequent.

Hey Curtis I feel you on that my previous ride was a gixxer 1000 and I have a road glide and it's definitely different and roberts videos have helped tremendously. Stay safe on the travels
I'm never in a hurry to get to a red light. I practice slow riding every time I am on the road in traffic. Not as good as a well trained motor officer, but not a foot dragger either. I one time saw a Fairfax Va Motor officer do the slow ride while playing Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven. Older guy, gray hair handlebar mustache. He did that ride in like 4 minutes plus. Using the centrifugal force of the HD V-twin engine, foot brake, throttle and the friction zone better than I have ever seen it done. Amazing.
Thanks for the videos save my butt really make it fast went camping got stuck can't back out had to go forward rocks with a full loaded bike got out of it thanks to you it's works that day I showed who was the boss

You mean slowing down from 1000 feet out? That is far to far.
I find it helpful to not look at the ground in front of the bike but rather straight ahead or at the back of the vehicle in front of me.
That sounds like the way to go to me!

whats the deference from reving and pre loading and keeping bit loaded
Good question Kev. Reving is also known as blipping the throttle. Preloading is also reving, but it's keeping the throttle steady consistently.👍🏾
Wouldn't riding in the friction zone burn up the clutch?
If you’re motorcycle has a wet clutch, it’s designed to be operated in the friction zone.
My left hand been cramping up in the cold. Guess I need to man up the hand strength
Hey Scott. I think it’s great that you’re dedicated enough to be out there in the cold practicing! But the warmer weather will be here sooner than you think. 👍🏾😊
@@BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycle my bike is a 2020 RG Limited. Wonder if it's hydraulic clutch is that much more work for the grip? Haven't heard you address this much. It has my attention with people talking about the 2021s going back to a cable clutch.
First or second gear?
Thank you for watching and hopefully you’re subscribed to my RUclips channel!👍🏾😊 ruclips.net/user/BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycle
1st.
at what gear are you.?
and what speed should we ride.
Always in 1st gear during slow speed maneuvers and speed is 5-10 mph.
So one guy said I am going to burn my clutch if i preload the bike
When I am doing slow miniver in traffic
You won’t if you do it properly. Don’t have your RPM’s excessively high and it shouldn’t be done for long periods at a time.
I try to play a game of "Don't touch the road" at the light lol
Excellent Paul! Practice!👍🏾
I would like to see you and jerry palladino in a friendly compatition
That actually sounds like fun!😊
It's unusual to see bikers use this technique...thanks
You’re welcome. It’s unusual because of the 2%😁
Somebody still want to be a cop again.🤣😂
Why do you say that Frank?😊
