    I have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and am just starting chemotherapy. Our ribbon colour is teal and our symbol is a sunflower. This granny square pattern will make a perfect afghan to raffle off at next years local Walk of Hope. Thank you so much. Any send positive energy to all of us fighting ovarian cancer each time you crochet one of these squares

      For mine I use 81 squares total for a standard throw size! 9 by 9. 🥰 roughly 1.5-2 jumbo red heart yarn skeins!

    Hi, love this pattern so much... Just curious how many squares do you think id need for a throw sized blanket?

    • @CrochetJewel
      @CrochetJewel  2 года назад

      I would measure the square and then times the side by how many inches you’d like for the width across so say it’s 4 inches and you want 30 inches then divide it by 4 and make about 7 of them. That’s just an example.

    If I want to make it bigger do I just do a single crochet all the way around

    • @CrochetJewel
      @CrochetJewel  Год назад

      you can do that, or keep adding increased rounds.

    Good morning from Tx...
    And hello again....i really enjoy your tutorials, but one question, have you made a top for a baby/ toddler and a lovey/blankie and if so, how many of the squares to complete a project?

    • @CrochetJewel
      @CrochetJewel  3 года назад +1

      How I would do it, I’d take the width of the square and then times it by how many inches you want the width to be and make that many and keep going for your desired length

    Your written pattern says work 12 sc in the ring but when you do it in the video you do it as a DC in the ring. Are we supposed to be doing sc in the ring for 12 crochet in the ring or 12 DC in the ring

    • @CrochetJewel
      @CrochetJewel  Год назад +1

      yes I changed it to dc, dc makes more sense, sorry Ch 5, sl st to create a ring. Ch 1, work 12 dc in the ring, slip knot with your other color and sl st in the beginning sc.
      Rnd 2: Flower petals: with yellow yarn, ch 3, 2trtog in the same stitch as the ch 3, ch 3, *3trtog in the next sc, ch 3, *Repeat around, total of 12 petals. sl st into the center of the first 3trtog.
