Nicely done Pierrie! I used to play this on the church piano when no one was around. Got caught kicking the bench out backwards one Monday evening. As an aside, the organ outro was played on a Farfisa transistor organ with a bit of fuzz pedal classic!

One more move he does on the C chord before chorus is pivoting between a C 2nd inv. doubled at the octave and an Am7 (really C6). He also makes ample use of broken chords to keep the groove flowing.
Great tip! No two performances are identical, but it always grooves like crazy.

Is there a rule as to what inversion to play in the right hand or is the rule; "do what your ear tells you"?
Follow your ears, which we call using good “voice leading.” Don’t use inversions that jump around illogically or make your life harder!
Sounds like a Farfisa on the organ part. Could be wrong.
