Just finished the "Stuff made here" nut cracker with a bomb of a nut cracker, never used one but i love all the videos of creative new and improved nut crackers, have a big thumbs up.
I'm pretty sure RUclips "helps" it's creators come up with new ideas...have you not noticed the same projects and themes running through loads of different RUclips channels...
As cool as stuff made here's one is, something is so amazing about seeing one that is completely powered by a person. I think it really shows off the power of engineering!
I think both builds are equally insane. Your nutcracker has adjustability before being turned up to 11. I'd have to give yours the slightest of victories.
I like how the Stuff Made Here nutcracker has power while being small enough to fit on a table, and harnesses the power of explosions. But yours is awesome because it's frickin huge and can crush more stuff. And I think that makes it more fun.
Id have to say all else aside, size alone yours takes the cake. I believe the mini one had far more psi behind it, however yours dominated with the total amount of force generated. Also its cool to see a more simple approach not involving millions of dollars worth in machines to create something like this.
The Stuff Made Here video is good, but what I like about yours is it’s still human powered, like an actual Nutcracker, so it’s fun to see how you both approached the problem. Great video!
Great video as always! Surprisingly I want to see other makers do this like Colin Furze, Hacksmith, Jlaser, Alan Pan, etc. Two videos is not enough! How many ways can an overkill nutcracker be made?
stuff made here's cracker is fairly normal sized and powerful. Yours is giant and even more powerful, plus is man powered and doesnt need to be reset. I love stuff made here's cracker but yours obviously wins in size, power, and convenience.
I always appreciate some "simple" welded steel linkage that does the job, because it seems like something one could replicate, whereas SMH's nutcracker required a crazy amount of machining (which in itself is impressive of course, but still it is overengineered) and expensive tools. In the end cracking and smashing stuff is always cool. So..well done.
Stuff Made Here's was insanely over-engineered and super dangerous. Like most of his projects. Hard to say if one was better, very different builds. I enjoy something that seems like I would have a chance in hell of building myself, so Im gonna edge out a win for you lol
Jairus, trying to compare yours and stuff made here's nutcrackers is like comparing a sports car and a high-end pickup truck! They are both spectacular, in there own way!
Both are good but I like your better. The fact that it's super powerful but still (mostly) practical puts it over the top. Nice video and Merry Christmas.
@7:08 Watermelon-Nut, I think its pretty obligatory at this point to destroy a watermelon with out the need to disguise its name, but that one was cute LOL
This is so good! Now you have an even fancier way to paint stuff too. Just put the target in front of the Nutcracker, place a spray can in his mouth, and let physics do the rest! I wonder if you could actually sell a couple of Nutcrackers art pieces on your website to fund your next project? Limited edition Jairus-of-All signed Nutcracker paintings may be a great last-minute Christmas present for dedicated fans! Set up a couple of Ebay auctions so you can get the best price and not have to limit the value by selling it on the store. =)
Your nutcracker is less handgrenade-y, but stuff made here's is more portable. Also stuff made here's is potentially a homemade gun, legally speaking. It uses gunpowder and projectiles do come out of the mouth.
I have come from watching the other video and I will say my personal vote is that you are the winner sir. nutcrackers are far more imposing when they're 7' tall
Really freakin' cool... I have been telling my wife I want a really big, really cool nutcracker. Where do you keep all the stuff that you build, Jairus?
I like to make stuff also made a big nut cracker for coconuts I love how this isn’t a collab yet 3 different makers all did over sized or over powered nut crackers
Stuff made here’s is essential a gun but yours can squish bigger things, with less noise, less down time between crushes, and it’s powered by foot stomp. So yours wins.
HAHA Well I'm torn on who's is better honestly. Stuffmadehere's is REALLY awesome but at the same point yours crushed TWO metal nuts :O and many other things his couldn't fit :O
I would be more impressed if you managed to make something that didn't use physics tbh. Most objects in our universe tend to follow the laws of physics
Just finished the "Stuff made here" nut cracker with a bomb of a nut cracker, never used one but i love all the videos of creative new and improved nut crackers, have a big thumbs up.
there should be some kind of showdown :D
Lol the fact that you and stuff made here both independently made massively over-engineered and supped up nut crackers is hilarious. Great stuff.
So did Bob from I like to make stuff
They both smashed about the same size metal nut too.
i think there was a secret challenger behind the scenes.
I'm pretty sure RUclips "helps" it's creators come up with new ideas...have you not noticed the same projects and themes running through loads of different RUclips channels...

I am inclined to agree.
I absolutely enjoy when the editing is done to the music.

Even a proper coconut smash to unintentionally one-up Bob at ILtMS, nice
Legitimetely incredible a human powered contraption can generate that much force. Mechanical advantage is awesome
The Stuff Made Here video is good, but what I like about yours is it’s still human powered, like an actual Nutcracker, so it’s fun to see how you both approached the problem. Great video!
That turned out really well and I love that it can actually be used as a nut cracker and not just for smashing things...
I love the explanation video of how you came up with the idea. It reminded me of south park
Great video as always! Surprisingly I want to see other makers do this like Colin Furze, Hacksmith, Jlaser, Alan Pan, etc. Two videos is not enough! How many ways can an overkill nutcracker be made?
Hacksmith could take the easy route and have the power loader crack a nut.
Colin would use fire, somehow.
New channel: Jairus’ Nut Cracker. I had a lot fun watching this. I especially liked your paint hack. Good stuff. ✌️❤️
It destroyed things very satisfyingly, you did a really good job with everything.
Hey i saw this in person at country creek it was so cool
Glad to see nutcrackers strike a chord with engineers everywhere :)
Please make an ongoing one-up competition with stuff made here. Who will make the best nutcracker?
Came to the comments to see if Stuff made Here was here...was saddened by the lack of Stuff
StuffMadeHere's nutcracker probably has more PSI, but Jairus' might be able to smash more because of its size
You outdone Stuff made here. Your design is the best !!
stuff made here's cracker is fairly normal sized and powerful. Yours is giant and even more powerful, plus is man powered and doesnt need to be reset. I love stuff made here's cracker but yours obviously wins in size, power, and convenience.
Didn't expect it to be that powerful, real impressive. And that paint finish looked super clean
Dude thats awesome! Waiting to see stuffmadehere's response
"Stuff Made Here" in Christmas 2022: Hold my beer...
Also, you should do a collab with "Hydraulic Press Channel"!
I love the fact that the butternut squash, food, withstood that beast better than actual steel nuts.
Yours wins for volume and aesthetics, his wins for explosions :P
I always appreciate some "simple" welded steel linkage that does the job, because it seems like something one could replicate, whereas SMH's nutcracker required a crazy amount of machining (which in itself is impressive of course, but still it is overengineered) and expensive tools. I think you got the win, and Stuff Made Here ain't easy to top!
SMH wins the cool bonus bc his uses explosives, but for functionality, I definitely gotta give it to you, Jairus. Congrats
Stuff Made Here's was insanely over-engineered and super dangerous. Like most of his projects. Hard to say if one was better, very different builds. I enjoy something that seems like I would have a chance in hell of building myself, so Im gonna edge out a win for you lol
I love stuff made here. But I've got to give it to you because that's some incredible force coming for human power.
Jairus, trying to compare yours and stuff made here's nutcrackers is like comparing a sports car and a high-end pickup truck! They are both spectacular, in there own way!
[TF2 soldier voice] "If I have to crack some nuts, *I WILL!* "
6:31 You could even go so far as to say, _"deez nutz!"_
Love it. Just about the perfect size for coconuts. 🥥🥥🥥
Both are good but I like your better. The fact that it's super powerful but still (mostly) practical puts it over the top. Nice video and Merry Christmas.
Pretty cool! Merry Christmas everyone
6:15 OH GAWD!!!! Headphone user warning for crying out loud.
@7:08 Watermelon-Nut, I think its pretty obligatory at this point to destroy a watermelon with out the need to disguise its name, but that one was cute LOL
All nuts fear Jairus
Well... that was immensely enjoyed. 😂
Mans really released this video a week after stuff made here's
"Do you think they can actually crack nuts?" "Doubt it, they're made in China". Ok, THAT was a real laugh.
Great video. I don't know why but seeing the smashing in this video just put a smile on my face. I like the editing in the video aswell
love both yours and Shane's video. two great engineered ways to accomplish same thing!
"It's like a giant version of the spring in your tape measurer."
I see you old springs from Striker. Completely forgoten about them
This is so good!
Now you have an even fancier way to paint stuff too. Just put the target in front of the Nutcracker, place a spray can in his mouth, and let physics do the rest!

I think yours wins on both functionality and aesthetics!
This was nuts
Damn I love cuts made in time with music
I was like "Oh this is just like the stuff made here nutcracker" and then I saw the thumbnail shows a watermelon in its mouth.
Jairus for the win by a measure
Your nutcracker is less handgrenade-y, but stuff made here's is more portable.
Also stuff made here's is potentially a homemade gun, legally speaking. It uses gunpowder and projectiles do come out of the mouth.
I'd love to see what kind of crazy things you and Stuff Made Here could come up with.
Methinks you win. This time.
“World’s Most Powerful Nutcracker Uses Physics”
…So does the world’s most normal nutcracker.
This video is so underrated i thought it was cracked
Um... isn't that taller than you roll-up door? Ah, you dealt with the problem.
Nice! Love the editing with the music when welding! Merry Christmas!
Oh man! Great content!!
I have come from watching the other video and I will say my personal vote is that you are the winner sir. nutcrackers are far more imposing when they're 7' tall
nice work Jairus :)
I like yours more even though I’m impressed with Stuff Made Here’s fancy toys. Nothing really beats the all-American hammer.
7:32 Getting into an argument with an old person with dentures. *They pronounce Perpendicular*
I mean yours doesn’t need blanks to work so…..and yours definitely crushes real good. I think you’ve got this in the bag Jairus 😎
this is so cool. i gotta say i love stuff made here but yours definitely wins!
Really freakin' cool... I have been telling my wife I want a really big, really cool nutcracker. Where do you keep all the stuff that you build, Jairus?
INSANE-O STYLE
I hope this starts a yearly Nut Cracker Arms Race! God help us if Destin or the Hacksmith gets in on this.
Or Tod of Tod's workshop... or heaven help us, Joerg Sprave!
Nice build man! Can't wait for the ugly Christmas sweater vid
Love it.
I like to make stuff also made a big nut cracker for coconuts I love how this isn’t a collab yet 3 different makers all did over sized or over powered nut crackers
We need a side by side comparison on this one
nic3 to see 2 people have the same idea without knowing and give your own spin on it
Stuff made here’s is essential a gun but yours can squish bigger things, with less noise, less down time between crushes, and it’s powered by foot stomp. So yours wins.
Awesome video, I can definitely give stuffmadehere the point on engineering and design but yours is more magnificent and has more applications
Another great video. Now all Nutty needs is some teeth. :)
Very impressive but I like my toy sliders to be boring and just stand to greet us. 😊
Yours is definitely bad ass. And free to operate lol
7:05 Butternut Squashed?!
And it’s why should close our mouth before chewing!
Probably already been beaten to it but, I guess you could say you “busted” some nuts.
Absolutely loved it! Did I miss it though? Did you end up adding more lead to make your hammer even heavier?
For real though how did you do the color?
Your both mad lads
You definitely won.
How about you take that hammer thing from How Ridiculous into the competition?
your nutcracker doesn't require safety equipment to operate so there is an advantage
The crack of 87
This is too fun to be legal
Stuff made here is super jealous he didn't think of a big hammer, and instead fiddled with precision machining for 4000 hours
Awesome. The sheet metal work turned out pretty sweet. Could you make a quick and dirty tutorial on how to transform cad models into printable png?
The free Pepakura app can print directly.
you won!
I prefer the term "nut buster"
Well I have a soft spot for exploding things
But this is still nice 👌
OR make a big mousetrap with same mechanism and could be triggered by a slight move of a nut
HAHA Well I'm torn on who's is better honestly. Stuffmadehere's is REALLY awesome but at the same point yours crushed TWO metal nuts :O and many other things his couldn't fit :O
ahahah it looks SO great
I would be more impressed if you managed to make something that didn't use physics tbh. Most objects in our universe tend to follow the laws of physics
Not most. EVERYTHING follows the laws of physics!
For a video about nuts and cracking them, this lacks nut jokes.
Yours is better bro you can fit a wide variety in your nut cracker
