Idk if someone already explained it but I'll explain it again. The "Ace" term is used frequently throughout the anime. It does not mean the best player. It means the player that usually scores the most points for the team. They will be given the ball to score a point in tough or tense situations. The title of Ace usually goes to the left outside hitter as this player will most likely be able to score a point. If I made any mistakes please correct me and I'll make fix it.
The outside hitter (left) usually called "ace" because most of the time the setter will send them the free ball because they can easily (well sometimes not) hit it and score hehe

I think with Noya it was mostly okay because she got introduced to the show that way; from her being a lib and people talking about Nishinoya in the comments of her IRL volleyball videos long before she started watching. I don't particularly like it when they talk about later characters like Kenma and Bokuto and the rest, but tbh I'm guessing by the time she gets there she'll have long forgotten about that and will hopefully be pleasantly surprised anyway.
lol ppl want to make sure the anxiety/suspense is built ig I'm personally fine with it ig bc it makes it more interesting Cause tho this is her choosing to watch Haikyuu, she's also more or less doing it for her fans (But as u can see she is slowly getting invested.) I think with Noya it was mostly okay because she got introduced to the show that way; from her being a lib and people talking about Nishinoya in the comments of her IRL volleyball videos long before she started watching. I don't particularly like it when they talk about later characters like Kenma and Bokuto and the rest, but tbh I'm guessing by the time she gets there she'll have long forgotten about that and will hopefully be pleasantly surprised anyway.

Cause tho this is her choosing to watch Haikyuu, she's also more or less doing it for her fans (But as u can see she is slowly getting invested.) I'm mainly okay with it bc i feel it's obvious that she enjoys receiving the suspense ppl in the comments give by hinting towards some characters, and how she'll love them etc.
And imo it's better to have the suspense build rather than be suddenly surprised, which I can imagine if Noya just suddenly appeared with no real knowledge the reaction would more or less be like "😳Oh-"
But even so. The anime kind of completely hints at stuff like Noya, the coaches, Asahi etc. And what I usually see in the comments is ppl either commenting on the video itself, or actually clarifying somewhat of what the anime is trying to foreshadow.
Cause they can be quite discreet about it. It was more less obvious for her since she's also a volleyball player herself and could figure out what "Gaurdian" was suppose to mean.
I still understand cause I do like when they are surprised, but ig I dont see much problem in just mentioning the characters at least. Most comments I've seen are just naming and not much explaining, and I doubt the names etc will really stick until they're introduced.
