Absolutely love this video! One of my favorites you have ever done …totally the best , I say just countdown in order and go 80s next, X-men 350 was a pretty slick cover!
Adam Kubert had a lot of nice Wolverine covers between issues 76-90. My favorite was 78. I really liked your list. My vote would be to do the 70s next.
I'd say my favorite 90s comic covers were superman # 75 and X-Men#1 by Jim Lee! Both covers are very iconic and easily recognizable! Great video showing all the covers from the 90s!
Love that Lobo cover! I am quite fond of Preacher's art both inside and on the cover they were my introduction to Vertigo. Amazing Hal comic cover art you can feel the emanating emotions from him going mad with power. Bruce Timm is the man! Also thanks to your videos mate I recognized the cameo appearance of King Shark's teeth in Superboy, bought the reader's copy along with several other low grade books which were the 1st appearance of Nix Uotan + the origin of Granny Goodness, the three separate origins of the Joker, Kate Kane's second cameo appearance and the death of Osiris.
Pretty great seeing all those covers. I go through my collection just to check them out sometimes. Did a quick count thru the show. Definitely got 44 of them possibly 46..gotta check on 2.looking forward to the Eighties.
70s please, so many classic stories, first appearance and first covers. Love to see you do a video on comics with low print runs for other countries like the UK and Mexico issues that would appeal to your overseas subscribers.
Boland's covers, anything by Alex Ross, Mike Deodato when he wasn't mangling the female form, all Totleben Swamp Thing covers, anything Perez and almost every painted Vertigo cover, Sam Kieth's MCP covers, Kellley Jones (the heir to Bernie Wrightson): these are a few of my favourite 1990s cover things. Hey James, this short but snappy video really works! Next? Just keep moving backwards chronologically: 80s until you get to the 40s (plus Action Comics 1), maybe even into the 1930s.
Just a quick note - at 2:54 you say Kingdom Come #1, but show #4. Otherwise a pretty great list, James. Have to say that 3 of my favorites from Marc Silvestri's Wolverine run are personal favorites - #33 & 36 make my list, but Wolverine #57 is one of my favorite covers, no matter the decade!
Awesome list, I love this video. Definitely looking forward to an 80s video. I couldn't help but notice you said Adventures Of Superman 501 was by Rick Taylor. That's most definitely a Tom Grummett cover 😀
Loved this and can’t wait for the 40’s-70’s decades. I was a little disappointed you didn’t venture much beyond DC/Marvel. My favorite 90’s cover was an alternate for KABUKI by Steranko. Breathtaking.
At least you had one - but you still missed like almost every Sam Kieth cover ^^ even some good ones on batman... What's with the Todd McFarlane iconic batman (301?). I loved the 90s - and as long as they don't have the terrible marvel image custume redesigns tons of great covers ^^ cheers
Greatness video Brother!! Glad you had one glow in the dark cover on your list Ghost Rider #15. There are soooo many GREAT 90s covers but my favorites that come to mind: Venom Nights of Vengence #1 gitd cover, Uncanny X-Men #350, Doom 2099 mount rushmore cover (I forgot the issue number), Venom Funeral Pyre #1, Superman #123 gitd cover and many more covers that I can't think of right now. Yes keep this series going MAN!!
Some great choices my friend. I have to throw out the mixed media covers from Topps Comics, by Miran Kim and Michael Grecco on The X-Files, specifically issue #1 from January of 1995. Absolutely love that cover. And for fun ALF # 48 from December 1991 by Dave Manak lol. Classic
I think a lot of these are picked on pure nostalgia criteria, you just remember liking that issue or seeing that cover back in the day, because many of these are not great covers at all, much much better options in the 90s but its all just our opinions so kudos for putting this together and I definitely agree on many of these as well :)
I'll admit that this is a pretty good list and a lot of fun going down memory lane. Breyfogle is hugely under appreciated. If I might add though. There are some great covers out there that aren't part of the big 3. Rune #1 was a favorite of mine done by Barry Windsor Smith. Malibu Comics put out some nice books before being sold off.
All Marvel and DC, plus Spawn and one Simpsons book? Bro, you gotta broaden your horizons. There was an indie comics boom in the early 90s, with a ton of great cartoonists. You didn’t include any BWS covers? I know I’m biased, but still, he’s one of the greatest artists comics has ever seen.
Trying to count how many I have - it's just a guess, I don't have a full list and don't have all my comics in easy reach - but I think 8. Sad. But I got out of comics at the beginning of the decade and what few I was buying or have bought since are mostly indies. Anyway I vote do the 80s next, I definitely have some of the more iconic examples from that decade.
*_Sure, do each decade, it's "content" for a rainy day you don't feel like making an up-to-date video._* *_But, you know, that was only 1-2 non Marvel/DC books. There's A LOT of indie '90's books with great covers._*
James,it's time for the 80's favorite covers and Dark Knight#1, Killing Joke and Amazing Spiderman#300 has to be I that list cause those are some cool covers plus really good books to have in a collection.
Got Ghost Rider 15 on my best-cover wall in my office. I also love anything Spider-Man by Bagley, Ghost Rider 5 (Jim Lee, Punisher vs Ghost Rider), Ghost Rider 27 (Jim Lee, X-Men/Brood crossover), Marc Spector: Moon Knight 20 (Punisher and Spider-Man). Do 80s next! More than half my cover wall is late 80s stuff.
James,I say 80's and the Dark Knight Returns#1 and Killing Joke need to be on that list somewhere cause those where some great covers and probably the best Batman Stories ever told.
I always loved that Batman 465,it's in my PC for sure. On a side note I know it's his staff folded up, but when I first saw it I thought it was some sort of gun, lol.
These lists are almost impossible, but you had some pretty agreeable things in there. Glaring omissions in my mind are X-Men 5, Spidey 1, Captain America 1 (Garney,) and Travis Charests' New Horizons covers.
Honestly? I loved the 90s covers. Kitschy yes, but at least people were willing to experiment with using the covers as a creative medium to play with. But as for art - I wish you included Dark Horse’s Grendel material such as “Grendel: War Child”. Or the Batman/Grendel collaborations. So unlike anything else.
Let's go with the 80's for the next list. Can't wait to see Walt Simonson, Frank Miller, Klaus Jansen GOLD!
I think 99 of the list were DC/Marvel/Image!
Dark Horse, Valiant, and many other indies had some amazing covers in the 90’s.
You count Dark Horse and Valiant as indies? Made your comment moot to me. At that time Image was more of an indie then those 2.
Either way, it’s a subjective list, and you need to account for the number issues the big publishers were putting out.
Could have at least mentioned windstorm or something like that.
Yes! You are oh so right. I’m glad i’m not the only one that thinks that way.
The 70s! you can’t beat the Bronze Age for great covers
Awesome job!! This is how I wish everyone did their lists. Every decade would be cool.
Great video let’s see the other decades
Absolutely love this video! One of my favorites you have ever done …totally the best , I say just countdown in order and go 80s next, X-men 350 was a pretty slick cover!
reluctant to find I'm stuck in the 90s again
Moxy Fruvos
Spectacular Spiderman 200 is a great example of the 90s and just a awesome battle between Spidey and GGoblin
I’ve always loved the Jim Lee x-men stuff. I think the 70’s would be interesting to see next.
Adam Kubert had a lot of nice Wolverine covers between issues 76-90. My favorite was 78. I really liked your list. My vote would be to do the 70s next.
Great video bro!!! Kelley Jones on Batman is fire
Great video! Definitely infinity gauntlet! Please do 80’s!
Ah the 90’s in comics. Loved the extreme art style. Speaking of art I think Norm Breyfogle was one of the greatest artists on Batman
Silver Surfer #50 was the 2nd print. Nice list.
80s let’s keep on going back
Glad both Kuberts made it to your list! Absolute legends! Jones and Keith really kept the 90’s on it’s toes though…
X-Men Annual 1 cover was great
Robin 26 is one of my favorite.
I want 2000s next!
You pick the order as long as you do every decade 💎👍
Let’s do 80s!!
Just go from 90s, back. Wanna hear them all!
I'd say my favorite 90s comic covers were superman # 75 and X-Men#1 by Jim Lee! Both covers are very iconic and easily recognizable! Great video showing all the covers from the 90s!
All of Breyfogle covers are severely underrated. Great list!
Lovely choices my favourite is long Halloween issue 1, just love Tim sale
Love that Lobo cover! I am quite fond of Preacher's art both inside and on the cover they were my introduction to Vertigo. Amazing Hal comic cover art you can feel the emanating emotions from him going mad with power. Bruce Timm is the man!

Great video!!! I'd love to see the 80s!!!
great show! 70's please
Dark Horse Colonial Marines vs Aliens #1
Can't wait for the other decades. Love these kinds of lists. Where these listed in any order/ranking?
Some 90's covers look so dope! Love them.
Let’s see the 80’s
I like quite a few early 90s covers, but the 80s has my favorite covers
Joker with the Cat is the best one...super strange but executed so well to show the expression 🎉😂
Anyway to post that list? Your content is always spot on!
Good thing to put out there. Lots of great covers from the 90s. I like Kelley Jones' work a lot. Would love to see a 70s review as well.
Favorite gimmicky 90’s cover: Guardians of the Galaxy 25, featuring a “foil-stamped prismatic cover”. Brings back my childhood in an instant.
70s would be neat.
Bruce Timm is a god
1980s covers gets my vote for the next one. This video was fun.
Awesome list, I love this video. Definitely looking forward to an 80s video. I couldn't help but notice you said Adventures Of Superman 501 was by Rick Taylor. That's most definitely a Tom Grummett cover 😀

I would like to see a 80's comic covers next!!! Great video by the way. Keep goin'
Great cover comments. Please do a 70's cover. Lots of iconic ones.
That was cool. Keep it up and show some 70s….some avengers,Deathlok and of course “the shadow #1”(my all time favourite.
Love the show!
1970s please. I’m always fascinated by the art of that decade. Great video btw!
70s next!!
Nice! Lookin' forward to the 80's video 👍
Greatness video Brother!! Glad you had one glow in the dark cover on your list Ghost Rider #15. Yeah! Bring on the Joe MAD!
I have the original comic art of Deadpool 11 framed in my comic den. I got it a long time ago. Glad to see it made your list.
TRY THE 60S BET YOU HAVE JIMMY OLSON ON A FEW PLUS MYSTERY IN SPACE.
80’s!! Daredevil 160 & 184. Two of my faves!
Classic
Ummm, I belive you forgot Spider-man #1. Who doesn't like that iconic cover art? Mcfarlane greatness😀
I actually don't lol
@@MintHunterComics 😲🥺

man, those bring back some good memories. Let’s continue with 80s then 70s… perhaps Neal Adams cover tribute.
I'll admit that this is a pretty good list and a lot of fun going down memory lane. Breyfogle is hugely under appreciated. If I might add though. I agree that the 90’s overlooked, but some great covers. I will admit my bias to the 90’s since I started collecting when I was a kid.
Trying to count how many I have - it's just a guess, I don't have a full list and don't have all my comics in easy reach - but I think 8. Sad. But I got out of comics at the beginning of the decade and what few I was buying or have bought since are mostly indies.

Def 80’s in the next list . I love the Larsen asm cover and the Bagley asm 362
Always loved the Classic Jim Lee covers. 80's next and save the 70's for last
Fun video. I vote 80's next. For me, I'd add in X-Force 1 and some of those great early Image covers.
James,it's time for the 80's favorite covers and Dark Knight#1, Killing Joke and Amazing Spiderman#300 has to be I that list cause those are some cool covers plus really good books to have in a collection.
Great covers...I have a few but the the Harley Quinn/Joker from Alex Ross is one of the tops.
9 of 100 good results))
I love seeing good covers! 80's would be good next maybe
I can't argue with your choices. I still have that Transformers issue with the jim lee cover
Good stuff! 60-70's next please!
Let's do the 60's next!
Gotta be the 80s next. Loads of iconic covers there
2000's !!!!!!

80s!! Awesome video keep ‘em comin
Spirits of Vengeance #6
And
X-Men #41
Are my favorites from that era.
I always loved that Batman 465,it's in my PC for sure. On a side note I know it's his staff folded up, but when I first saw it I thought it was some sort of gun, lol.
Top covers from the 70s, please.
The list needed more Valiant. I love Magnus #12 with Turok's first appearance. X-O Manowar #5 is beautiful. Rai #5 is peaceful.
That was awesome BUT… I think we need a top 100 Marvel and top 100 DC for each decade!
I have a few of those ❤ 90's are my jam!
Great video. Loved the content, let’s do the 80’s next. 😎
No Nightwing by Scott McDaniel? 😁
These lists are almost impossible, but you had some pretty agreeable things in there. Glaring omissions in my mind are X-Men 5, Spidey 1, Captain America 1 (Garney,) and Travis Charests' New Horizons covers.
Sweet list!! Any chance you could post a text version of it? Would be nice to have on hand for digging through boxes
Have 20 of 100
‘80’s for sure!
I always liked Incredible Hulk 379 and Punisher: War zone 1.
I’d like to recommend the ‘70’s or ‘80’s for your next video.
That was awesome! Can you please do the 80’s next?
Love this list! Keep up the good posts
Although Hulk 377 is the most recognizable cover I think #369, 376 and 390 are better representations of Keown’s work.
80s! so we can have some The Question love as that run had epic covers by Dennys Cowan
