Really good demo especially when you included the catch, this is very important for others to see the human parts that happen to all. Take care look forward to seeing more.
Great project Henning, the use of the skew was good and the gnome is fabulous. I am learning too and the skew is such an odd tool to handle, you did well and practice is all that you can do. Stay safe mate. Keep on turning. Cheers, Bluey 👍
Great job . I’m just learning to turn ,hope I’ll be as good some day . Yep I’ve heard scrapers are a odd tool to master , keep working at it . Fine job young man .
An awfully lot of chips with a skew that other tools could do better with no explanation as to what you are doing or why you are doing it. Some explanation of the project and your approach would have been nice.
Valid point. I appreciate your feedback, when and if I upload again I'll keep this in mind. I did mention in the description however why I used the skew 😉 "Most of the turning could be done quickly using the continental gouge to a greater extent. But since I’m yet to master the skew chisel I decided to use it as much as I could."
Please share your thoughts on this project.
Would love to hear what you think!

Thank you kindly, Bluey!
It is quite odd indeed, made some huge improvement on this project alone and hopefully there will be many more!
Take care!
