Finally, a productive use of all my little cutoffs and the “logs” the grandkids bring me :) Just never thought of using the chuck with one jaw removed. I truly hate making jam checks when there are multiple items that all vary in size.

Great spoons. How wet or dry is the wood before you turn it?

So that cherry branch was a dry piece of Branchwood?
It was cut over a year ago so pretty dry I didn't check the moisture content, but even if it was a bit wet turning and sanding a small piece like a scoop it would dry out pretty quickly.
Really good little spoons and love your sanding jig setup too.
