I am disabled via ehlers danlos & neuropathy, but I used to maintain a consistent yoga/pilates practice when I was younger. I was and still am pretty heartbroken about how my body has changed since I became chronically ill. lately I have been trying to push myself more, to move my body more. exercise is really hard for me, but I still want to try. I am bedridden so I do this arm workout sitting in my bed. it is extremely difficult, but I found that I could do it! the first time I tried it I fully expected to be unable to manage any of it, much less the whole thing! the post-workout soreness is real! I've been at it for a few days now, spaced out throughout the week. I would be so happy if this really worked for me, as my arms are always a source of insecurity for me. anyways, thanks for making this workout!!
update :: I've been doing this arm workout almost every single day for the last year & I am stronger!! I can feel the difference. this works & I'm so grateful, thank you!
i find your lean/tone up arms routines torture!! more than other exercises with heavier weights. i still incorporate them on my working out routine though =D thanks
Omg....I'm dying. I only had 3 lb dumbells. I tried as hard as I could. My arms are burning...I'm sweating like a whore in church. I'm investing in a set of 1 lbers tomorrow. Best workout ever!!!

@@ziyaaddhorat guess what, since that comment ive worked on my goal (slimmer arms) worked out consistently upper and lower body + healthier diet. AND IT WORKED. my arms are where i wanted them to be. so it DOES work guys, dont give up.
@@Stephanie-ft9pv well, what I did was that I planned my workouts (upper body and lower body) and fell in love, and did it consistently. And no. It's not just this 5 min workout - i did this and other workouts too (all from RUclips) if u wanted a specific time frame I’d say my workout routine is no more than 30 mins a day *consistently* plus a healthy diet. And before I knew it, my arms are slimmer and where i wanted them to be.
@@hadeelm1190 I have found that the hardest part of my body too lose weight or tone up is my upper arms, that's why i was curious if this exercise worked. But thankyou so much for responding. I recently started gaining more weight after my 4th child. I usually lose baby weight pretty fast but this time I gained more instead of losing because of the birth control I'm on. So I am now working on eating healthier and exercising as much as my young kids will alllow😆
On day six I only dropped my arms Once! Significant improvement from day one. Looking forward to the future with no wiggly arms!

That’s because you are activating the smaller accessory muscles in your upper arms! This is how we keep them tight and toned!!

Can I do this with 2 kg weights
I would advice 1kg max so you can activate the smaller muscles in your arms. If you use over 1kg then your shoulders tend to take over.
I only had 1.5 kg so used them, but I may not be able to move my arms tomorrow.
