    I think I dell in love with whatever type of horse Lot 63 was. Such a cutie. This also looked like a well-run auction by people who take good care of their horses.

    I followed the Weaver horses for years! I appreciate your videos so much as this Ohio gal is far removed from what I really love.
    My Grandpa worked ranches in New Mexico during the Spanish Flu. I inherited the equine gene for sure and he spent hours with me as a child sharing the ole cowboy ways. Lots and lots of good memories and experience I was able to pass to our children and grand children. I purchased a Mr Baron Red mare years ago and we still have her. We also had a Rey Jay/ poco red ant/ mr Gunsmoke mare our children showed (years ago).
    Please. If you can, keep this up. This Grandma appreciates it immensely.
    One last thought: horses still make me cry...I love them that much❤

    Hi Clever.
    These futurity babies are thousands in the beginning now. Most horses in thier performance years do bring in the futures, yet, most end up in the pipeline sooner or later.
    Yes. I'm an advocate for wildies.
    Been around rescue for a long time.
    I'll probably get hate for this post.
    I'm good though.
    Love your rescue.

    Its probably a good thing I am not younger and have some discretionary cash as it would be spent pretty quickly right here on these little beauties!!!
    I love them all, they are such glorious creatures!!
    You are very fortunate and us older horse-loving Grannies are glued to your channel!!!
    Thought the little horse huddle at the beginning of the video was so fun...it looked like they had their heads together sizing up the crowd saying things like...did you see that pretty blond lady looking us over...boy, I hope I get to go home with her. Then they were trotted out one by one, looking so pretty, so self assured and just down right majestic. God really makes great stuff, doesn't he?
    Thanks again for taking us along...it's a lovely experience!!! Happy trails...❤❤❤

    Like the palomino filly Lot 65 and then palomino colt toward the end. That's a great color and they seemed more robust, maybe older. This was a great tour, TY, Clever Cowgirl! Can't imagine paying that opening bid of $24,000, a really good ranch horse, but guess you get what you pay for, at round-up time.

    Here in California The K Bar ranch has an annual sale of their weanlings. I do the same as you but we are limited to the auctions here. There is a local one near me that is monthly. And I go "rescue" what I can. I go by the same thought as you, I am not put off by one being a bit thin and know my limits. The one that the K Bar has is a silent auction which is not my favorite.

  • @Sophiecjp

    Some of those foals did not look old enough to be weened. It was a very exciting auction though. Makes me kind of sad thinking of all the horses like yours that could use a good home and the money they were giving for these.

    Hi I have a question: Where do you find auction shoppers and how do we contact you if we wanted to check out a auction you are going to? How much would it cost?

    • @TheCleverCowgirl
      @TheCleverCowgirl  9 месяцев назад +6

      Most trainers will offer this service for their clients. It is important to pick someone who knows your ability so they can match you with the perfect horse. Most charge a day fee, plus travel and expenses if it is a sale they are not already going to. When I take someone to a sale and spend all day looking at horses with them my day fee is $250, if I am only looking at a handful of horses and sending them info it will be less.

    So what separates the cost of these horses going for 15,000 and some of them are going for two or three thousand I kind of thought the cheapest course you should have went for a little bit more money

    • @TheCleverCowgirl
      @TheCleverCowgirl  9 месяцев назад +10

      The higher priced ones are crosses that are proven. So siblings have done well. You are essentially buying their future potential. Most of the lower pirced ones are out of first time mares.
