- [Ultra Clear Low Light HD] Here's a full HD ride-through of Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland. Supreme Low Light Quality using Natural lighting and No night vision. The Ride is located next to Blue Bayou Restaurant. Pirates the Ride. Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
There are 3 Pirates of the Caribbean rides. One is located at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. and the other one is located at Toyko Disneyland.

besides the amazing robotics,my favorite thing about this ride is the smell of the water.

I rode this back in the 70's before they made stupid changes to satisfy the PC group. Sure glad I grew up when I did so I could experience things before idiots started changing things.
@@futurewhizter1538 remember them talking about it when I went there in the 90s. they changed things like the ladies chasing the pirates instead of the pirates chasing the women. stuff like that.
I just LOVE the slow creepy version of "it's a pirates life for me" playing during the beach scene! (The one where it shows a skeleton which a sword through its chest impaled on a rock while a seagull sits atop his hat.)

OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH! ME TOO!!!! I have been looking for someone who loves that part just as much as I do for forever all of my friends are huge disney fans including me, and I always tell them that is my favorite part and they say it's the most boring part. :(

im going to disneyland for my 15th birthday next month and this is the first thing im going on.
This is a good ride to chill out on. It feel's like the ride is about 20 minutes long, it's great ride just to relax and spend time with family.
the Depp change over and the constant music being played ruins it...the old way was perfect.made a creepier atmosphere and real to not have music

They actually add that smell in, it's not in the water it's added to the air. It's used because smell is so closely related to memory. www.disneyfanatic.com/top-10-smells-disney/
They don't add the smell in, the smell is completely unintentional. They cant use chlorine because it will bleach the props and stuff that are near/in the water so they use bromine, you're just smelling bromine.

Im going to Disney this summer in July. It's almost the end of May and my cousin, sister, and I have already made a list of all the rides we want to go on! And i am planning what kind of stuff to bring on a trip like that since i will be going there for a week! I agree plnning is super important

It's cool to see how the same ride is different at each of the Disney parks. The one down in Orlando, Florida is so much different than this.

Thanks for posting this. I was just on the ride at Disneyworld and I kept saying the ride at Disneyland is much longer. Based on this video, I'd say my memory is correct and the ride at Disneyworld was about 1/3 shorter, maybe more. I have to admit, being a SoCal gal, I much prefer Disneyland to Disneyworld, but even if I wasn't, I would still prefer Disneyland over Disneyworld.

I wore leggings once with my blue sundress that had flowers on it a long time ago after I graduated college. They caused a really bad rash under my belly and the lesson was NEVER wear leggings in a strange place.

Rode this yesterday, barbossa's hat was covering his eyes so you could only see his mouth moving, and on the lift at the end, jack had two pieces of hair caught in his mouth lol
I havent been to the resturant ever since my first time at Disney which was years and years ago and yes from what I have heard and from what I can tell I would agree that it is super expensive! i guess it would Kinda be funny to see people ride by while having a meal:)
Oh wow, a bunch at the beginning different from the Magic Kingdom version. And the ending is laid out differently as well.

Does this one have any big drops? I can barely stand drops (I'm not much of a ride person in general), but I may want to ride this one if I ever go back to Disneyland.
I wouldnt call them drops really. You will be fine. My moms the same way and loves the ride
Actually no I'm 10 and the ride drop are 2 and they r really small don't worry it's not like splash mountain

No, the first drop and second drop are fairly small. The first drop is facing about 86 degrees down and it's a 37ft drop. It's not bad. Personally, the second drop for me is the worst because you get more wet. And you feel that drop in your stomach. But, it's only maybe 28ft downwards. :)

The Pirates of the Caribbean ride is one of my favorite rides at Disneyland. Just wish that it was a bit more thrilling since there is only like one drop. :P

+bezoticallyyours83 I dont know whats on today but when i do that rides in Florida and California, long time before the movies were made i saw many details in the ride what later was shown in the movies. The dog with the keys, the prisoners, the Lord who was bound in the fountain etc. That wellknown detail later were bring in the movies.
The reason why they did that is because there would be a new generation of kids growing up with the movies and they would probably wonder where those characters were. I think it's nice that they added some of those characters. It's only a few, and they picked really good ones. I think the movie upgrades are awesome! The real problem I have with the rides is the censorship, like changing the Pooped Pirate from holding a women's clothes and the girl in the barrel to him eating food (although the current version of the Pooped Pirate is pretty neat) and changing the pirates chasing women, to pirates chasing them for food. Overall, this ride is still amazing, and I like the new things.

And it's probably the best version of this ride (with the original one of course).
Great building, great queue area inside an old fortress, wonderful landing, a different order of the scenes, 2 drops and some additionals scenes.
i went to that ride like 40 times
i was the same way. I have been to Disneyland many times before heading to WDW and i rode the pirates first thing at the WDW magic kingdom and i was very disappointed.
My mother and I used to look for the dirty pirate's foot hanging off the bridge in this ride.
The most resent I went on this ride, i took my glasses off the second fall to not get them wet, 3:09 then they broke! I had to press them against my face to watch the fireworks... XD

I go to Disneyland quite often. Because of my annual pass, I go about once a week / 5 times a month. I can tell the differences here. It's sad how PC can ruin a beautifully planned ride, for some dumb reasons.

At least they haven't worked Eddie Murphy into the Haunted Mansion. It's bad enough they work in Jack Skellington near Christmas.
It's not fine dining expensive, but it is pretty pricey... For two people expect to be paying at the minimum (if each person gets a plate) around $50.00. =)

I think this ride has gotten a little longer, certainly better though the cheesy song went on longer than I'd like. Without it, I suppose little kids might find it nightmarish.

+Wolfie lover88 The parisian one (which I'm more familiar with) has a really different scenarisation. For example it ends with the skeletons, not at the start. They haven't retrofited stuff from the movies on it
You still start at the restaurant (but it's called the 'Blue Lagoon' here), they you have the prisons (the dog and bone scene), you're in the fort being attacked by pirates, then they put fire to everything (and drink rum, and apparently sells women and other horibles stuff pirates should do, but with a touch of humour, of course), then you see you enter the place where black powder should be stored, it blew up (and they take you're photo here, the explosion effect is used as the flash for it ;-)), then you have the dead pirates...

just take it for what it's worth. technically it's historically accurate, may pirates sold women, human etc.... I think people who see this ride understand that human trafficking is bad, but can still laugh at the ride. PC has truly destroyed this county.
