0:35 Pirates of the Caribbean Ride 2023
Filmed February 1 and February 7, 2023 at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.
I grew up in the Southern California area. My Grandparents would take my sister and I to Disneyland twice a year for our birthdays. In all I have been to Disneyland over 50 times in my life. My other Grandmother lived about 20 blocks from Disneyland. She lived so close we could watch the firework show from her front yard. Years later her house was purchased by the Disney Corporation and now California Adventures sits where her house once sat.
that’s so cool!
lucky you
Wow special memories!
Yeah same here, grew up in Brea and some of my closest friends lived in that neighborhood. Funny when walking over the bridge in CA Adventure I always imagine walking down the street when it was still houses.
no one cares…
I can smell the water just by watching this 🌊🌊🌊
one of my favorite smells in life is this ride
@@rextb8056 I'm so happy I'm not alone here. That bromine water gives me nostalgia of the whole park in general!!!
I thought that was just me, glad to know others have that too💀
54yr old, disneyland many many many times. I calculated I have been on this experience 500 TIMES!!! Fortunate to live in CA.
Ok sadly I'm sorry I'm 39 about to be 40 and I have you beat I did a 5k on pirates of the Caribbean not just because I worked there but because I rode it every year before that as well plus when I lived in California I did get season passes as well so I think I beat quite a few people
@@devinkaschak9978 Mucho Respect!
@@devinkaschak9978 There is a bad news on next year. Pirates of the Caribbean Ride was closed on February 9, 2024.
@@josephmcneela-uj2lw what happened to my pirates of the Caribbean
Born and raised in Southern California. ❤️
The fireflies at the start have been totally stationary last few times I’ve been lately. Was cool how they used to look like they were flying around
I'll never get tired of riding this later in the day when there's no line and you're able to just soak it all in. That ending where the chain lift hill takes you up and back into the station truly feels like waking up from a dream, this might be the most spiritual amusement park ride of all time
Agreed
it really does feel like waking up from a dream
Back in the late 80's early 90's my dad would take me on the best days of the year. The day after the 4th of July, and the day after Xmas. NOBODY was there in comparison to the previous day. You could ride Jungle Cruse, Pirates and Haunted Mansion with no line in a row if you got there right at opening and walked to them. One after the other. Good times. One time in like 1990 ish, me and my dad rode the last jungle cruse of the night during Fantasmic. We told the guy he don't have to do his act. Would be nice an relaxing to just ride. Nobody else on the ride. So we just had a ride around the jungle. No dad jokes. Good times.
The skeletons were all once real before. They were donations from University. Too bad for all these downgrades.
That sounds nice of the Jungle Cruise ride. I would enjoy it too and watch the fireworks at the same time✨🎆🐘🐅🦍❤🌌
The dad jokes are the best part 😂
Pirates is the best ride ever! I won’t even schedule a trip if it’s closed for refurbishment! 😂❤🏴☠️
This is one of the best Pirates ride thru videos I've ever seen!
I love how the first quarter of the ride is scary and the last 75 percent is just drunk villagers and pirates having a grand old time.
It's like I told my dad before getting on the ride (I'm not a thrillseeker and I was worried about it being too scary), Pirates of the Caribbean is 80% Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom effing around on set. It's just that the other 20% is Lovecraftian horror.
pirates of the Caribbean is my favorite ride at Disneyland
I see you comment on a lot of the same RUclipss that cover DISNEYLAND I watch. I agree, Pirates is my favorite also! I have rounded my number of rides to around 500 times, luxury of living in CA all of my life is frequent visits.
@@toshibavoodoo I am afraid I have some bad news on next year. Pirates of the Caribbean Ride was closing time permanently in February 9, 2024.
That hurts to even read.

One of my all time favorite Disney rides
Both in Disneyland & WDW
The other one is The Haunted Mansion
@Hailey Fjeldstad But then, Bad news is: On next year, Pirates of the Caribbean Ride was closing time on February 9, 2024. But good news is: When Pirates of the Caribbean Ride was closing, there is a new ride that replaced. It's called, "Flounder's Journey to the Sea."

I go to DL once a year or not, even twice a year and pirates is the ride we re-ride every time, I love it, so worth it!
I live in Orange County California for more than 30 years now and I've been to Disneyland a lot of times because of my kids. Pirates of the Carribean is one of my favorite ride at Disneyland. Even though I haven't been to Disneyland for a long time now, but I still remember the music, the smell and all the charactes inside the cave. I'm surprised after 30 years it hasn't changed a bit. My favorite scene there is at 11:23. I chuckled every time I see that dog with the jail key in his mouth while the inmates trying to entice him with a bone, lol..
I love the smell inside of this attraction! Great memories! 💜
I LOVE THIS RIDE SM!
My family used to live in Southern California, and we used to go to Disneyland a lot when I was younger and when it was cheaper. This ride was my all-time favorite. The atmosphere brings a lot of nostalgia to me.
thank you 🇧🇷❤️
I like Pirates!
I used to work at main gate I love this ride ❤
Thx for that it was fun working for Disneyland but I had to move on to other things u got to enjoy ur job u do or find one u like and that's what I did
Pirates is the best ride ever!
This is my comfort ride ❤
I always wanted to retire in one of those huts on the water there in the beginning of the ride, across from the really good restaurant. Can work there during the day, go home when the park closes. Hey Disney how much to rent the hut? I can just sit there and play some bluegrass guitar on the porch.
I remember when you needed a E ticket for pirates 😂
I still have a a couple books of those tickets!
THIS IS A FUN RIDE!
It is love this ride

Best version of the ride, nowhere else in the world has a better POTC ride.
I don't really have any desire to go back to Disneyland, but if I ever do, this will 100% be the first and last ride of the day! I'll always have fond memories of Disneyland, especially POTC.
I know many people have said this already but i have to say it too: i can SMELL this ride 😍😍😍 @ 2:24 idk why but i could not look up at this dude until i was like 12-13 y/o it scared the heck outta me so much! 9y/o me could watch The Hunchback of Notre Dame on repeat, no problem. This? Problem. I was such a weird kid. I mean, I'm still weird as an adult but... yeah ..
I went on that ride!
I miss this old classic.
Happy New Year to everyone and the world - 2024 is here
I almost shat my pants when I first went on this damn ride🥰
"Yeah, but, John, if The Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists"
Why would pirates eat humans?
@tsitracommunications2884 its a quote from jurassic park
This is better than the ride in Orlando!
Who missed the Davy Jones' waterfall? I miss that...
Toyko's version still has it.
probably my favorite ride at Disney. went every year for about 5 years and I don't think I'm going this year
This version is longer than the one in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
That’s what makes this one better
I SPY A CAST MEMBER IN THE BACKGROUND!
I honestly wish I knew about that drop in the dark prior to riding. My back was not prepared for that.
I don't remember much from when I took this ride - I visited Disneyland sometime in the mid 1990s. After watching this video, I wonder if all the mentions of Captain Jack Sparrow were there from the beginning, or whether they added them after the movies came out.
the changes were made after the first three movies came out, at the height of the franchise's popularity.
It wasfin out there😃😃😃
Jack Sparrow😍🏴☠❤❤❤❤❤❤
great video ! thanks ! what happened to "kitty, kitty. kitty" ?
Must have been taken out for refurbishment
There is nothing like a classic.
12:40 I liked pirates of the Caribbean ride.
Imo, the Pirates in disneyworld feels empty and old while the one in disneyland california and paris looks way better
What did you use to film?
I never get tired of seeing Carlos and his wife at the Well Scene of this attraction, because I do impressions of them very well in my spare time. My Spanish accent rocks big time even though it's high pitched as a way to help me enunciate in conversations with people who speak Carlos' Wife's language.
Don't be cheeeeken! 😅
It seemed more atmospheric when I went maybe it’s just cause I was a kid
I’m an adult and went recently and I was in awe. My favorite ride at Disney.

Are the rumors true that they plan to move this masterpiece to the back where It's a Small World is??
I wonder why they never refurbished the “Wicked Wench” into the “Black Pearl”? It honestly wouldn’t be much of a burden; all they’d have to do is repaint the entire ship, and it’s sails the color black!
Disneyland is number one in Anaheim California your friend Ricky hernandez from Northridge California 😊🎉🎉🎉
1:03 I never noticed till now that there was a crocodile on water!
Is there a big drop because I do not like big drops
There is.
Yes
Um excuse me, where’s the waterfall at the end?!
The first drop feels so tall
First drop? There’s only one at Disney world 😢😢 this is why I need to visit Cali
Question how many drops are there?

The guy sitting on his porch at 1:41 is very hard to see in real life. You must have an outstanding camera to show that scene so clearly in very low light. Nice job!
Awesome ride to rest your aching feet after all the walking

One time on this part of the ride, I threw a Coin into the Gold, my Mom said: “Uh what was that?” And I said: *That was me. I threw a coin in there*
This ride was a little scary for me. I didn't prepare myself for the upcoming drops.
That was scary for me as a little kid. I'm going to Disneyland tomorrow, and I wanna try this ride again since it can feel a little bit different once you're older, at least I'm a teenager now.

Why is drunk cat guy missing? And they changed the skeleton that’s stabbed in the cave scene when you’re first coming in. Kind of annoying
I went to Disneyland like idk a week ago and they had both of those. Don’t know why it’s not here..?

So the story of menacing fighting pirates that caused massive harm and trauma to an unsuspecting naive town are replaced by fun-loving pirates who briefly invaded a town for some bread, a drink, an auction and somehow that caused the burning destruction.
Apparently Captain Jack Sparrow's presence in town was enough to cause them to set fire to the damn place
Yeah, it's been that way for 56 years.
This is still similar to disneyland adventures kinect xbox
brain rot
Not that I'm complaining in this case, but I'm surprised they didn't add the element of multiculturalism like they did in the film.
The largest organized gang of pirates was actually found in Asia
Did you know that use real skeletons
I think they got rid of those

Get back to the original. Jack sparrow is already forgotten. This ride is classic and should never have been touched....

The ride is nowhere near as authentic, dark, surreal, creative, and etheric as it was before. 😢

It is completely awful that they changed the bridal auction so they could be more PC and not offend the snowflake feminists who complained about it. that was one of the most memorable parts of the ride, even after getting off the ride when I was a kid, I could still remember hearing "We wants the redhead!" chiming in my mind, and smile at the sillyness of it all.

Terrible how they treated Johnny Depp..He made the movie, also dod rewrites, he had no history of DV.. Shame on them, a whole theme park, about Pirates of the Caribbean..
I was actually a little irritated that they shoe-horned the movies into the attraction. However, you are right about corporations having no loyalty to those who have brought them profits.
