Kengineer, if you see this, please pin it. This is a very helpful tip for people hunting for Saryn Prime. I must say I play Warframe on my switch and I got a notification about prime resurgence today. With the prime resurgence last chance event occurring until Feb 15th at 2pm Eastern time zone, Saryn is one of the frames on that list that can be gotten.
@shinigamilord86 In your orbiter on the News tab/platform/whatever that console is called, it's there. Prime Resurgence. It's been there since December when they started the event.
A quick note on toxic lash, toxic lash can 'triple dip' on faction damage. The way it works is that the hit from toxic lash is calculated after all other damage calculations on the weapon (faction damage included) and then goes through the faction damage calculation again. After that, the toxin proc goes through its usual calculation for damage, so gets to through the faction damage calculator for a third time for a total of 165% extra faction damage on the toxin procs.
Saryin relics are currently still available from the prime resurgence for aya. i think there is about a week left. use 3 days to farm aya and buy a bulk. focus most of the aya on Neo s13.
you can also "pop" spores by slam attacks on the ground near an infected target and also subsume citrine's helminth ability (which breaks loot boxes and spores)
I love that Kengineer made a Saryn build guide in 2024. That's so hype. I think it'd be cool if these vids also came with suggestions for weapons & companions that synergize with the Frame's kit really well; like the part where he mentioned Praedos.
Yeah, that'd be a great addition to these videos. Dual Ichor Incarnon and Sobek deserve special mention (the Dual Ichor in particular!) for how crazy they become in Saryn's hands. Honorable mention for the Tenet Exec's slam attack wave mechanic actually being able to kill high level enemies in her hands.
I personally love to run Saryn with the Sobek w/ Acid Shells and the Jat Kittag w/ Vulcan Blitz. The 'explode on death' effect can chain when Toxic Lash is up, allowing you to kill a whole group of enemies with a single shot if you run her as a weapon platform. To add even more, you can subsume Shock onto her with its augment to reliably proc Melee Influence allowing you to explode rooms of enemies with ease, granted that enemies are close enough together for the explosions to chain.
I run her with Shock and the augment with Incarnon Dual Ichor & Influence, and yeah, she nukes rooms. So much fun. I also run the augment for her 1, so I don't even use her spores for spores half the time, as I clear rooms with just melee. Plus I often run into another Saryn in a squad, and this way, we aren't competing against each other
Last time I got the Power Strength infusion I put it on my Roar Acid Shells Saryn. Went into the Simulacrum, spawned the tankiest combo of Nox and Railjack Grineer at max lvl (no SP scaling at the time though) and 1 headhot cleared the whole group. Never gets old :D
@@yofolkdem1256you don't even need to manage proc weight, once influence procs, it's on for the duration. If you're not proccing it, it's because you killed one enemy in one hit so who cares? Melee influence builds want high melee range to take advantage of quadratic scaling on hitting multiple enemies in one swing anyway, you'll never not proc it on cooldown by using it the way it wants to be used.
You're the only person I trust with Warframe builds since you take a proper look at the stats in depth and are concise and straight to the point. Excellent video! hehe, kind of funny how I planned to do an emerald archon shard vid -> saryn vid but you did it first lol. I'm probably too lazy to get around to it anyway a few notes off the top of my head: - miasma stun does not work on enemies who are already miasma-sick. this often means they will only ever get stunned once and then will be immune to further stuns until they die, making it a not very reliable CC tool. - spore damage strength % is snapshot on first cast and stays that way until the on-screen meter completely disappears. so if you have temp strength buffs, try to stack them before applying your first spore - with brief respite, a single Augur mod, and Blind Rage, Miasma restores 220 shields on cast. that's a 1.07 second shield gate. if you want to play it fast and loose, you can drop Catalyzing Shields and just use Miasma plus a tau Cast Speed shard to shield gate - revealing spores is a much better augment than it is given credit for, though IMO the coloring should be part of her passive anyway - +ability damage% on corroded enemies is also a very good shard for caster saryn - grimore is also highly synergistic with saryn, as she really appreciates either of the strength or energy regen buffs, and toxin lash even charges the alt-fire faster. - nourish and gloom are also excellent helminth picks (verglas seismic bond on gloom build to save a streamline mod slot). when going for max spore kpm in survivals and the like I actually opt for nourish over roar because eventually you will need the energy to sustain the Miasma spam needed to keep spores alive oh also kinda disagreed with intro given gloom healthtank saryn is fantastic at braindead facetank survivability
Great video Ken! Saw you testing stuff live for this, and it was fun to chill/lurk while listening. That said, here's a few things not mentioned that people may like to know\try. 1. Attacking spore-ridden enemies will give additional combo counter. This works on ALLIES spores too, making it the one non-anti synergy with fellow Saryns if you like melee. 2. Have you tried Melee Influence with Dual Ichor and Alchemist's Wrath evolution? DI incarnon clouds can proc and spread Melee Influence in chain reactions, and Toxic Lash applies to that cloud, which will also tick your combo up thanks to Alchemist's Wrath. You reach 12x in an instant as a result.
Dual Ichor Incarnon is the secret tech on Saryn - Toxic Lash + the toxin clouds all counting as being a "melee hit" and thus spreading via Melee Influence leads to truly silly results.
Health tank Saryn is definitely an option that shouldn’t have been discredited at the beginning. Her Spores self scale their damage well enough that you only need enough strength for the corrosive status chance to build stacks. With Spores+Miasma and the range you’re building fodder enemies might as well be disarmed or have their AI turned off. Her base health and armor are surprisingly high generally you can pick on to boost with a mod and the other with arcades/shards and suddenly she’s got 3k HP and 750 armor. There’s also multiple options for giving her the healing she’d be missing. Regenerative Molt, blue or green shards, Equilibrium etc. She’s certainly not the best health tank but you can absolutely stroll thru Steel Path up to level 300-500 and look at the map design while spores scales up to 1000 stacks and kills everything.
Gloom is also a very good subsume on her for this purpose. It gives you a strong, constant health regen by letting you lifesteal off spores, and reduces incoming damage by slowing nearby enemies. It does create some energy issues if ran on a high-range build though...
I recommend subsume gloom from sevagoth over her molt. It slows enemies in the big aoe circle and gives you life steal on them which works with your spores. Unless you get one shot you won’t die lol
When you get a Warframe and its parts from the Duviri Circuit Offerings, They only take 1 minute to complete!! Components AND Warframe alike!! That's why getting to level 10 in the circuit is always worth it.
I'm happy you made a video on Saryn. I've been using her alot lately because she survives better and I watched your video on the Nautilus and Verglas and use it with her and used the dual ichors with melee vortex arcane and it is so much fun!
I'm glad I saw this video. Im new to warframe and a higher lvl player hopped onto my team at one point for a defense mission and was basically insta-wiping everything every few seconds. I couldn't tell if they were hacking or not, but no other players were saying anything so I was like "I guess there's a frame that has ridiculous unfettered range". I'm guessing they were a saryn and had some mods or equipment that let them spam miasma. Also, as an fps player who likes seeing numbers on my screen, Saryn seems like the perfect frame to get a constant stream of dopamine. I already enjoy using my volt starter and spamming abilities to see numbers everywhere in my immediate vicinity, so seeing numbers literally just everywhere sounds like a lot of fun.
The timing on this video is immaculate. Been farming Primes from the Prime Resurgence: Last Chance event, and farmed Saryn, Mesa, Volt, Nyx, Trinity, and Ivara, so I'm eager for some builds and tips for when they're eventually crafted.
I love saryn, she is my main. I traded out Miasma with Xaku's Whisper and im using Nataruk as my primary cause its really fun With this setup im 200+ strength with some range. Cast spores, shoot and watch everything die. Im rocking 1000+ health with her molt ability that allows her to regen health so im health gating instead of shield gating. Ive ran with this in Steel Path and it is fun.
Gloomy Saryn literally unkillable if you even have a half decent set of survival mods. The enemies have to get through your shield gate *and then* ALL of your Ehp between ticks of Spores, it's stupid strong
@@hjalmarselberg5653 no need to be toxic, there, bud. Everyone has their preferred playstyle. I do indeed have a Saryn mod config that uses Roar, because you are right; it is extremely powerful. When I feel like playing gun buffer/nuke Saryn, that's the mod config I go for. There aren't many builds in the game that can dish out such insane levels of dps. Gloom Saryn is simply a different, also quite powerful build, except with a much more relaxed playstyle. Saryn is one of the very best users of Gloom in the game, and I wanted to mention it here because I thought it deserved more notice. Ken already covered most of the other popular Saryn builds anyway.
I've been using Saryn as a full melee frame with the new arcane that turns kills into armor. I've noticed that most of the time I have it proc 10x, which is over 2k armor. Slap a gloom like a good filthy meta player like me and it's honestly a ton of fun. Big damage and big melee energy.
Should take this time to mention since it’s a lesser-known trait for Toxic Lash: abilities that Proc radiation from your frame or weapon (Oberon Smite/Smite Infusion and Breach Surge, but not Chrynka Pillar) pop spores without a direct need for input with Toxic Lash on. In the case for Smite and Breach Surge sparks, the sparks themselves can actually carry spores under certain circumstances. Edit: Breach Surge damage buff also stacks with Miasma’s.
For the hybrid build, id honestly drop Primed Flow. The 300 Energy she has at base is enough to sustain her spores, venom dose, toxic lash AND put out the odd Miasma, id know because thats how i run her, and thats just with using the Zenurik ability for energy gain not even including Arcane Energize. Take that slot and throw in Constitution for even more duration allowing more breathing room with the lower energy pool, or Augur Message for again more duration but more shield regen from the set bonus, or even Streamline if you want to make sure youve got energy for days.
I have to ask, why not roar on the gunplay to boost your first and third ability? Is nourish better in that regard? and also why not use precision intensify?
Saryn's 4 spreads her spores on death... I've been trying to play Saryn and could never achieve the same numbers as anyone else. Wondering what I was doing wrong I turned to this video and found this out! Definitely gonna help make my Saryn even MORE deadly now and should hopefully be able to keep up! 👏
This is the key info you need to unlock the spore-gardener playstyle. When ever you see spores drop down to only affecting 1 or 2 enemies, thats when you wanna cast Miasma.
A good mid-endgame tip if you find yourself in a squad with another Saryn; you can make a separate "buff" build by subsuming Eclipse over her 4 for a damage buff (or you could subsume roar here, either one) and using the venom dose augment mod to allow her spores ability to give you and your squadmates a base 100% corrosive damage buff to weapons that scales with power strength.
Roar is the better option here, as it affects abilities AND double dips on status effects (it increases the damage of the hit, which results in increased status damage, and then it modifies the status damage ticks separately.) It even triple dips with toxic lash because the damage of toxic lash is decided by the damage you deal on the main hit.
Havent watched the video but I already agree. Saryn prime is the only warframe I had to build twice bc I had so many different builds that they were incompatible with each other forma-wise
Saryn can health tank fairly well with a proper setup, though takes time to build it up I run her with Adaptation and Health Conversion along with Arcane Blessing and Arcane Reaper for health and armor and DR, and ofc the Molt augment for healing. Then for good measure, I use Melee Fortification. Takes some time to set it up, but once it's there and your tearing through the enemies, barely need to worry about enemies' existance (definitely not a level cap build, but can handle 200-300 without too much problem)
My personal build as of late uses the Dual Ichor incarnon with a venom dose hybrid build. 2 corrosive shards, gas + electric and influence on the ichors, and nourish as my helminth. I can infinitely spread corrosive, toxin, electric, viral, and gas procs across an entire map since influence synergizes very strongly with the incarnon Dual Ichor's puddles on death, allowing for a creeping cloud of death that propagates from every enemy it kills. The only problem with the build is that it will 100% outpace enemy spawns, so you do have to wait for more enemies before doing it again.
For gun saryn, I actually prefer running roar instead of nourish, since most weapons mod on viral with relative ease (and the additional benefit of many public lobby players running nourish on their frames), It allows me to absurdly dip into the status damage from toxic lash and any base DoT procs. I additionally use Energy Nexus over Flow, since the regeneration gives a lot more of my effective energy back over the long durations of the abilities while not relying on energy orbs to drop.
on lower-ish level missions, up to like 130, i'll take her base powers to nuke pretty much anything. anything past that i'll bring nourish on her 4 for added damage, energy for shield gates, and survivability from the stuns.
You can easily tank up to lvl 1000 SP with triple umbra setup and a way to restore your health. My "lazy" Saryn build Has 265% range, 280% Strength, 95% slow gloom, Archon shards for armor strip & energy orb efficiency, and a single tao forged red shard to hit gloom breakpoint. Honestly, the build is so comfy to play, you'll never run out of energy with Dethcube+energy generator and the efficiency shards, armor strip the entire map, have everything slowed, destroy everything with spores.
Saryn is one of my go-tos, mainly because I am a sucker for DoTs in any game. I was eyeballing that melee arcane you mentioned, for the reason you mentioned, because I love leveraging her kit with Condition Overload. I only wish Archon Continuity worked with Toxic Lash/Contagion Cloud because trying to squeeze Venom Dose into my Umbra Saryn build is killing me! At least it'll be a while before I get a full Melee Influence arcane, so I've got time to sort it out?
Correction: Multiple Saryn spores effect enemies independently. This has been the case for a long while, and is easily verified. Pop into a mission/simulacrum with another Saryn with a different energy color and both use spores. Both show up and will do damage. Miasma priming and Toxic Lash spreading of those sets of spores is much harder to determine. In my testing, it appeared that the host will spread both host and off-host spores with lash, but Miasma would only prime enemies for host spores spreading. Off host Miasma and Toxic Lash seem to only work on off-host spores. What does NOT stack is the vulpaphyla spore. So this is a weird case where off-hosts see more benefit based on host abilities than the reverse. Note: I prefer replacing Molt with Gloom, since every tick of spores/status/miasma will heal. Usually that heal is full and instant on every frame. You will still run into the occasional instant death due to health-tanking and getting unlucky multiple times on the same frame, even with adaptation, but *shrug.
Hey Kengineer, small question: I've been playing on and off since release, just came back 3 weeks back and I decided to try out other frames than Saryn & Nidus. Maybe you could drop a similar video about Nezha? I tend to prefer him now due to his 3, but I want something more than only survivability, maybe make him more of a weapon platform? I only push Ability Str. right now for bigger shields as well as armor, but it seems like I miss big time on his kit. Anyway, great video as always, looking forward to new videos!

Most of the times I had trouble finding a way to survive but all of these tips and explanations are top tier golden!!! Thank you for your work!! Just a quick question, would the Kronen Prime work as a substitute tonfa for the Praedos? And does it work well with Influence? I have one builded around Lash and Influence and i would lime some clearence. Thank you again!!!
One thing i've found is that went you dont need to use 4 replace it with norish then replace rolling guard with quick thinking and focus school should be zenurik
The experience i've had using saryn in the past was: she is the frame you call to when you are at the end of your rope and an ultimatum for enemies to cease. The literal reason why I don't have her as a main is because she is way too strong.
Quick tip: as of right now toxic lash has a debilitating bug that makes It so, if cast while you're NOT the host of a mission, it cuts your final critical chance by about 90% of its total value for all affected weapons. Hopefully this bug gets fixed by the time Dante unbound drops but it's a crying issue right now and people need to know abt it!
well i needed something to spice this up. im guessing for melee it might be better to use the gun build though don't have access to venom shot, though could ask a clan mate to get it. Or is there another setup you recommend for melee.

I would very much like to add that saryn can become an immortal tank with gloom and range, every spore tick will life steal for you, providing an insane amount of hps, as long as your hp is big enough and you don't get one shotted, you are effectively immortal
I replaced molt with gloom and with dual ichor’s incarnon and 2 emerald shards there is absolutely nothing i cant kill and i am pretty much invincible.
I used to like to use armor and health tank with the molt augment for healing it works pretty good and is comfy until you hit very high damage that one shots you thru the buffer. Maybe it could be optimized from what I had and some people might like it
I can't tell whether or not you intentionally increased demand for Saryn in the trade market, but I got like 4 requests for my sets about 40 minutes after you launched this video 😅
I'm kind of dissapointed you didn't talk about how Saryn's spores interact with Panzer's Viral Quills so i could get that cleared up. From my own testing it would seem they essentially act like another Saryn's spores so there seems to be some anti-synergy. But i am not that reliable of a source and from what i could find on the wiki with a quick look at Viral Quills' and Spore's pages how the two interact doesn't seem to be covered, at most on Quills' with that it spreads similarly to Spores.
Try an umbra set, with adaptation, arcane Reaper, and her regenerative molt augment with healing return on a plaque kripath zaw... she can tank. I'm of course not including my two tau blue armor shards either
I don't understand the archon continuity in the first caster build, it won't have any difference to primed also gunbuff: try xata's instead of nourish - this completely throws some weapons through the ceiling
Gloom cannot be overlooked as a subsumed for saryn, every tick of damage from her 1 counts for healing and as long as you have anyone infected you will be functionally immortal with an umbral setup.
Saryn is just nutty. She got a rework 6-7 years ago and there still isn't a frame that reaches her sheer genocide potential. She has awesome synergies but is also extremely easy to dominate with. New players shouldn't leave Sedna without her.
Don't listen to that last guy, the Saryn farm isn't NEARLY as bad as farms like Equinox, Nidus, Sevagoth, etc. However you SHOULD get her from Duviri, it's way more reasonable. Equinox and Sevagoth (idk about Nidus?) Just aren't available through Duviri
why not use shield gate trough companion, it can fill the shields to full and because of nourish and srayn kit can get the 3 status on the kill reducing the cooldown

As others have said, I'd be interested to hear about weapon synergies in these vids. I've heard a lot about "Dual Ichor" for example which ill be googling when I'm done watching

You dont need Shock to proc Influence, just weigh the elements properly when modding Dual Ichor.

DI incarnon clouds can proc and spread Melee Influence in chain reactions, and Toxic Lash applies to that cloud, which will also tick your combo up thanks to Alchemist's Wrath. You reach 12x in an instant as a result.
Dual Ichor Incarnon is the secret tech on Saryn - Toxic Lash + the toxin clouds all counting as being a "melee hit" and thus spreading via Melee Influence leads to truly silly results.

Health tank Saryn is definitely an option that shouldn’t have been discredited at the beginning. Her Spores self scale their damage well enough that you only need enough strength for the corrosive status chance to build stacks.
With Spores+Miasma and the range you’re building fodder enemies might as well be disarmed or have their AI turned off.
Her base health and armor are surprisingly high generally you can pick on to boost with a mod and the other with arcades/shards and suddenly she’s got 3k HP and 750 armor.
There’s also multiple options for giving her the healing she’d be missing. Regenerative Molt, blue or green shards, Equilibrium etc.
She’s certainly not the best health tank but you can absolutely stroll thru Steel Path up to level 300-500 and look at the map design while spores scales up to 1000 stacks and kills everything.
Gloom is also a very good subsume on her for this purpose. It gives you a strong, constant health regen by letting you lifesteal off spores, and reduces incoming damage by slowing nearby enemies. It does create some energy issues if ran on a high-range build though...

I recommend subsume gloom from sevagoth over her molt. It slows enemies in the big aoe circle and gives you life steal on them which works with your spores. Unless you get one shot you won’t die lol

I'm glad I saw this video. Im new to warframe and a higher lvl player hopped onto my team at one point for a defense mission and was basically insta-wiping everything every few seconds. I couldn't tell if they were hacking or not, but no other players were saying anything so I was like "I guess there's a frame that has ridiculous unfettered range". I'm guessing they were a saryn and had some mods or equipment that let them spam miasma.
Also, as an fps player who likes seeing numbers on my screen, Saryn seems like the perfect frame to get a constant stream of dopamine. I already enjoy using my volt starter and spamming abilities to see numbers everywhere in my immediate vicinity, so seeing numbers literally just everywhere sounds like a lot of fun.
If you're looking for constant damage and wide area devastation, a lot of frames can do that. Saryn, Volt, Mirage, Equinox, Gyre, just to name a few.
The timing on this video is immaculate. Been farming Primes from the Prime Resurgence: Last Chance event, and farmed Saryn, Mesa, Volt, Nyx, Trinity, and Ivara, so I'm eager for some builds and tips for when they're eventually crafted.

I traded out Miasma with Xaku's Whisper and im using Nataruk as my primary cause its really fun
With this setup im 200+ strength with some range. Cast spores, shoot and watch everything die. Im rocking 1000+ health with her molt ability that allows her to regen health so im health gating instead of shield gating.
Ive ran with this in Steel Path and it is fun.
Umbral Gloom Tank Saryn is actually nuts
Gloomy Saryn literally unkillable if you even have a half decent set of survival mods. The enemies have to get through your shield gate *and then* ALL of your Ehp between ticks of Spores, it's stupid strong
Another META Slave abusing Gloom, boring, go play your mechanically dead mindsets elsewhere.
It works, but imo not a fun playstyle. I actually prefer shield gating and shooting gallery.

I do indeed have a Saryn mod config that uses Roar, because you are right; it is extremely powerful. When I feel like playing gun buffer/nuke Saryn, that's the mod config I go for. There aren't many builds in the game that can dish out such insane levels of dps.
Gloom Saryn is simply a different, also quite powerful build, except with a much more relaxed playstyle. Saryn is one of the very best users of Gloom in the game, and I wanted to mention it here because I thought it deserved more notice.
Ken already covered most of the other popular Saryn builds anyway.
I've been using Saryn as a full melee frame with the new arcane that turns kills into armor. I've noticed that most of the time I have it proc 10x, which is over 2k armor. Slap a gloom like a good filthy meta player like me and it's honestly a ton of fun. Big damage and big melee energy.
Should take this time to mention since it’s a lesser-known trait for Toxic Lash: abilities that Proc radiation from your frame or weapon (Oberon Smite/Smite Infusion and Breach Surge, but not Chrynka Pillar) pop spores without a direct need for input with Toxic Lash on. In the case for Smite and Breach Surge sparks, the sparks themselves can actually carry spores under certain circumstances.
Edit: Breach Surge damage buff also stacks with Miasma’s.
For the hybrid build, id honestly drop Primed Flow. The 300 Energy she has at base is enough to sustain her spores, venom dose, toxic lash AND put out the odd Miasma, id know because thats how i run her, and thats just with using the Zenurik ability for energy gain not even including Arcane Energize. Take that slot and throw in Constitution for even more duration allowing more breathing room with the lower energy pool, or Augur Message for again more duration but more shield regen from the set bonus, or even Streamline if you want to make sure youve got energy for days.
I have to ask, why not roar on the gunplay to boost your first and third ability? Is nourish better in that regard? and also why not use precision intensify?
Saryn's 4 spreads her spores on death...
I've been trying to play Saryn and could never achieve the same numbers as anyone else. Wondering what I was doing wrong I turned to this video and found this out! Definitely gonna help make my Saryn even MORE deadly now and should hopefully be able to keep up! 👏
This is the key info you need to unlock the spore-gardener playstyle. When ever you see spores drop down to only affecting 1 or 2 enemies, thats when you wanna cast Miasma.

A good mid-endgame tip if you find yourself in a squad with another Saryn; you can make a separate "buff" build by subsuming Eclipse over her 4 for a damage buff (or you could subsume roar here, either one) and using the venom dose augment mod to allow her spores ability to give you and your squadmates a base 100% corrosive damage buff to weapons that scales with power strength.
Roar is the better option here, as it affects abilities AND double dips on status effects (it increases the damage of the hit, which results in increased status damage, and then it modifies the status damage ticks separately.)
It even triple dips with toxic lash because the damage of toxic lash is decided by the damage you deal on the main hit.

Havent watched the video but I already agree. Saryn prime is the only warframe I had to build twice bc I had so many different builds that they were incompatible with each other forma-wise
She's my go-to circuit pick since the healing decrees drastically increase her survivability
Saryn can health tank fairly well with a proper setup, though takes time to build it up
I run her with Adaptation and Health Conversion along with Arcane Blessing and Arcane Reaper for health and armor and DR, and ofc the Molt augment for healing. Then for good measure, I use Melee Fortification. Takes some time to set it up, but once it's there and your tearing through the enemies, barely need to worry about enemies' existance (definitely not a level cap build, but can handle 200-300 without too much problem)
My personal build as of late uses the Dual Ichor incarnon with a venom dose hybrid build. 2 corrosive shards, gas + electric and influence on the ichors, and nourish as my helminth. I can infinitely spread corrosive, toxin, electric, viral, and gas procs across an entire map since influence synergizes very strongly with the incarnon Dual Ichor's puddles on death, allowing for a creeping cloud of death that propagates from every enemy it kills. The only problem with the build is that it will 100% outpace enemy spawns, so you do have to wait for more enemies before doing it again.
I love using saryn with the Sobek and Acid Shells
For gun saryn, I actually prefer running roar instead of nourish, since most weapons mod on viral with relative ease (and the additional benefit of many public lobby players running nourish on their frames), It allows me to absurdly dip into the status damage from toxic lash and any base DoT procs. I additionally use Energy Nexus over Flow, since the regeneration gives a lot more of my effective energy back over the long durations of the abilities while not relying on energy orbs to drop.
I personally really like a Gloom Saryn build. Crowd control and gives insane healing when you're using your spores.
on lower-ish level missions, up to like 130, i'll take her base powers to nuke pretty much anything. anything past that i'll bring nourish on her 4 for added damage, energy for shield gates, and survivability from the stuns.
You can easily tank up to lvl 1000 SP with triple umbra setup and a way to restore your health.
My "lazy" Saryn build Has 265% range, 280% Strength, 95% slow gloom, Archon shards for armor strip & energy orb efficiency, and a single tao forged red shard to hit gloom breakpoint.
Honestly, the build is so comfy to play, you'll never run out of energy with Dethcube+energy generator and the efficiency shards, armor strip the entire map, have everything slowed, destroy everything with spores.

Saryn is one of my go-tos, mainly because I am a sucker for DoTs in any game. I was eyeballing that melee arcane you mentioned, for the reason you mentioned, because I love leveraging her kit with Condition Overload. I only wish Archon Continuity worked with Toxic Lash/Contagion Cloud because trying to squeeze Venom Dose into my Umbra Saryn build is killing me! At least it'll be a while before I get a full Melee Influence arcane, so I've got time to sort it out?
Correction: Multiple Saryn spores effect enemies independently. This has been the case for a long while, and is easily verified. Pop into a mission/simulacrum with another Saryn with a different energy color and both use spores. Both show up and will do damage.
Miasma priming and Toxic Lash spreading of those sets of spores is much harder to determine. In my testing, it appeared that the host will spread both host and off-host spores with lash, but Miasma would only prime enemies for host spores spreading.
Off host Miasma and Toxic Lash seem to only work on off-host spores.
What does NOT stack is the vulpaphyla spore.
So this is a weird case where off-hosts see more benefit based on host abilities than the reverse.
Note: I prefer replacing Molt with Gloom, since every tick of spores/status/miasma will heal. Usually that heal is full and instant on every frame. You will still run into the occasional instant death due to health-tanking and getting unlucky multiple times on the same frame, even with adaptation, but *shrug.

Maybe you could drop a similar video about Nezha? I tend to prefer him now due to his 3, but I want something more than only survivability, maybe make him more of a weapon platform?
I only push Ability Str. right now for bigger shields as well as armor, but it seems like I miss big time on his kit.

The Kronen Prime is a good replacement for the Praedos. Do mind that no incarnon will mean lower stats

Infested Liches are coming in the future. I reckon the Infested weapons won't get any Incarnons because of this.
The experience i've had using saryn in the past was: she is the frame you call to when you are at the end of your rope and an ultimatum for enemies to cease.
The literal reason why I don't have her as a main is because she is way too strong.
Quick tip: as of right now toxic lash has a debilitating bug that makes It so, if cast while you're NOT the host of a mission, it cuts your final critical chance by about 90% of its total value for all affected weapons. Hopefully this bug gets fixed by the time Dante unbound drops but it's a crying issue right now and people need to know abt it!
well i needed something to spice this up. im guessing for melee it might be better to use the gun build though don't have access to venom shot, though could ask a clan mate to get it.

I would very much like to add that saryn can become an immortal tank with gloom and range, every spore tick will life steal for you, providing an insane amount of hps, as long as your hp is big enough and you don't get one shotted, you are effectively immortal
Mesa's subsume works on Saryn very well too. Enemies can't kill you when they are blinded and without weapon.

I replaced molt with gloom and with dual ichor’s incarnon and 2 emerald shards there is absolutely nothing i cant kill and i am pretty much invincible.

I used to like to use armor and health tank with the molt augment for healing it works pretty good and is comfy until you hit very high damage that one shots you thru the buffer. Maybe it could be optimized from what I had and some people might like it

What do y'all recommend for Archon shards?
I'm kind of dissapointed you didn't talk about how Saryn's spores interact with Panzer's Viral Quills so i could get that cleared up.
From my own testing it would seem they essentially act like another Saryn's spores so there seems to be some anti-synergy. But i am not that reliable of a source and from what i could find on the wiki with a quick look at Viral Quills' and Spore's pages how the two interact doesn't seem to be covered, at most on Quills' with that it spreads similarly to Spores.
What makes the prime shield mod better than say umbral intensify and umbral vitaliity for a more tanky saryn?
Try an umbra set, with adaptation, arcane Reaper, and her regenerative molt augment with healing return on a plaque kripath zaw... she can tank. I'm of course not including my two tau blue armor shards either

Gloom cannot be overlooked as a subsumed for saryn, every tick of damage from her 1 counts for healing and as long as you have anyone infected you will be functionally immortal with an umbral setup.
helminth breach surge and boost her damage even higher as well as boost her survivability by stunning the entire map.

Saryn is just nutty. She got a rework 6-7 years ago and there still isn't a frame that reaches her sheer genocide potential. She has awesome synergies but is also extremely easy to dominate with. New players shouldn't leave Sedna without her.

Don't listen to that last guy, the Saryn farm isn't NEARLY as bad as farms like Equinox, Nidus, Sevagoth, etc. However you SHOULD get her from Duviri, it's way more reasonable. Equinox and Sevagoth (idk about Nidus?) Just aren't available through Duviri
Tbh you can look at the Saryn farm like a trial run for the other, much, MUCH worse farms you'll have to endure. By comparison it's a handout

why not use shield gate trough companion, it can fill the shields to full and because of nourish and srayn kit can get the 3 status on the kill reducing the cooldown

I wouldn't put rolling guard on saryn as her 2nd ability can clear you of any status effects, there are more usefull mods i think
