  • Experiment - Forming a bowl out of 3mm plate - 6 inches square using a Norton No.8 Fly Press, 4 inch Ball Bearing, and Doming block.

    Well it does work.... Perhaps a round blank would be easier to turn etc.

      Yes, a round blank could be easier...but I did like the look of the bowl when it's finished. I went on to produce 8 of them. To produce a bowl took 30-35 minutes to produce including a flat bottom and finishing.
