I invite you to consider I have purchased a lens which will improve the area surrounding my forgings, which will help to demonstrate the function of this 8'Wx12'Lx13'H smithy. How space is one of the most valuable tools next to the anvil, hearth and hammer.
Going ahead I will show more and more of myself and my smithy!
The Flypress is my main tool I use it more than the anvil! - Наука
Would you mind showing a pic of how you have your bottom tools held? I’m trying to come up with some new ideas for mine.
Just invested in a No. 8 thanks for sharing your knowledge, very helpful. I can’t wait to work quietly and efficiently.
Thanks for the demo.
Greetings from Durban South Africa.
Just found a Norton Number 3 on a farm near my home $70 ...... perfect condition. I will be fabricating a few tools shortly.
What tidy welds you have.
👍👍👍
I have just became aware of Flypresse's . I think I will get one to do some forging of parts. I see it is very capable for the job!
Hey there, I believe its the greatest piece of equipment that can be added to a shop for a smith working alone.
thanks for watching.
mine is on a concrete base.
Subbed James - Im a 60 yo retired guy blacksmithing for 2 years with weak shoulders but a 6 tonne flypress! Looking for ideas and tooling. my first paid job is making a couple of 6' dia steel rings ?
Nice video - Thanks for sharing.
Too bad these tools are so very rare (at least in the USA)...and extremely expensive to buy, when you can find one.
i've seen and used a lot bigger fly press which exerts approx 1 ton per square cm which is why it is called a 1 ton fly press and was called a "CHALMERS" brand of a 1 ton fly press.ok!!!!!
Do a vid on making a hammer with a fly press 👍👍
Thank you, While dinner was on I threw what clips I had together of forging 4140 forming hammer, which I put a large handle too and have since used very aggressively forging bowls! which is what is coming next.
