I have to try this. I've been shooting them with a pellet pistol. They are very smart but also very destructive if you have any walls or steps in your yard. They also seem to roam in pairs. Husband and wife, so to speak. Very quick also and move fast when they hear a strange sound. Great job, thank you!
If you think chipmunk are cute and need to be preserved, this video isn't for you, they are destructive rodents....save your hate comments they will be deleted
My girlfriend and I successfully transplanted a beautiful Columbine flower last year from the very top of this mountain we hiked. By the time we dug it up, walked back down the mountain and did the hour drive home the flowers looked dead, but we planted them anyway. Fast forward a year later, to our surprise the Columbine flower grew back even larger than it was before we dug it up. It was beautiful and my girlfriend and I were so proud of how well it did and how pretty it made our garden look. A week later I started noticing the flowers falling off but didn't know why. Next thing I know I'm eating breakfast one day and just happened to look out the window and two chipmunks are chewing off all the flowers and spitting them out. Not even eating them. We've had a chipmunk problem in our yard for a while now but they never really bothered me until I got into gardening and seeing what they did to that Columbine flower. Idk why, but that flower was really special to me. Needless to say, I was LIVID and I ABSOLUTELY HATE these things now!!! They've been destroying my garden and chasing off birds that like to hang out underneath my bird feeder. I bought the most expensive pellet rifle they sold at the sporting goods store and an even more expensive scope 😂. I started taking them out one by one from my kitchen window. They're always underneath my bird feeder or in my garden tearing it a part. However, there's just too many of them and it's not really an effective way to go about getting rid of them. For every 1 I take out, 5 more pop up!!! So I RUclips'd what to do and stumbled across this video. This method is spot on!! I've been getting rid of them in droves now! lol... Anyway, just wanted to say thank you and let you know how much you helped save our little upstate NY garden!!! lol... You're the man! Thanks a lot!!
Sure, let my wife and children starve because these little snots are "cute". Some of these people have never been through the toil of running a garden to feed their family and it shows.

Man, you are a Bad Ass!
I love the Idea but we have alot of squirrels in our area and I am afraid it will catch squirrels too. I do not want to catch the squirrels.
I have lots of squirrels here too....but never had one try to go into the trap
