One question I was waiting on was a confirmed release date. Also, will this have a line doubler or scaler for 240p games? Some of us would be interested in trowing some original PCB's in there or would I have to bring my own retrotink to the show? Great interview.
@@snkfightfan0187 well, NEOGEO iruns native 320x224 and it fills the screen. Of course, bringing your own scaler will likely produce better results, you still get a full-screen experience without one.
They should partner up with Sinden to make a topper that has the gun aim detection tech inside of it or sticking out of it and gun holsters on it. Would be a great way to add light guns without damaging or drilling holsters into the base or top.
I'm definitely picking one up. But I actually have one qualm that I wish was revisioned. I know people complained about the ports in the front, and I know that's being removed now, but to me, wasn't that big of a deal. But if I were to change one thing, is the location of the top buttons/ volume nob. I believe it should be shifted to the right so you can fit in move set decals, just like the astro/ blast city. Other than that, the modular set up is really great, especially if Unico adds the potential blast city style marquee top.
The transparency with the Unico CTO is 1000000% better than all that bullshit that “Jonh D” guy would spew out and walk back at every interview and press q&a. Wish A1UP was ran by these guys instead. That and having people like NeoCverA is why we’re getting nothing but the best when it comes to parts and quality. Way to go Unico!!!
Are you kidding me? When did anything he ever promise come out in the time frame’s he would say which includes most patches on games that came out broken right out of the box(looking at you mvc2).
I think there was confusion with the “tank stick” my understanding was the dual stick mech style controls from Sega. - available in the Astro/Sega panel form factor which fits.
I'd be down for an XL-size MVSX, for sure. In fact, an MVSX Pro is the only Unico product that would currently interest me (and a 19" or 20" size would be perfect... 26" would be too big and expensive, honestly).
I see a U2 and U4 version at Unico. What are the differences? I can only see the marquee looks a bit different. I assume the actual speakers are the same. Also great interview.
I don't work for Unico, but asked the same question a while back. Yes the differences are the marquees and the speakers are slightly different. I believe they told me the U4 speakers are 1 watt higher than the U2s. Not much difference there. So I personally would go for which aesthetic you like better.
@@King_Midas Definitely. I did see another person say they were told shipping is delayed to May, but I have no idea. I just hope they pack things really well so we don't receive anything damaged like 19kfox received. Fingers crossed.

It was a nice interview but we are almost in the middle of April me being someone who pre-ordered ( and you as well) why didn't you ask him when are the orders being shipped out? That's the most important question! Respectfully.
What is the resolution of the prototype 30” monitor? I think ideal resolution for any size monitor is 1920 x 1440. The you would get 1080p without scaling

Will need to see them hook a Sega Dreamcast up to it, place a disc in it and play it. Step by Step. If they can pull that off, I may just buy one since I have a huge Dreamcast collection of games. Would love to play Virtua Fighter 3 TB on it.

Possibly. The control panel is interchangeable with Astro City.
