I work for a lawfirm with attorneys who make on average 250k and up. I have to say it is so true! The more my bank account grows the less I want to buy the things I used to want like expensive cars, bags, jewelry, condo. My business partner who is a doctor, owns multiple practices that produce 10 million+ in annual revenue… drives a Volvo! Now when I see certain flashy people,, I just think they must be broke and dumb. What’s truly valuable can not be bought.. ie good health, positive outlook, energy, passion, success, good people around you - friends, family, and associates. I think women have always been vanity driven , it’s in their DNA since the beginning of time . The difference between the past and now is , it’s a dealbreaker now . Not having trinkets and living the life of luxury is bringing on severe insecurities , depression , and or bad attitudes in today’s women . Now that comes from decades of marketing pushing that luxury in your face .
