I did a road trip this area of the states (Zion, Grand/antelope/bryce Canyon, Joshua tree, Sedona etc) with my sister and aunt when I was 15, so nearly 20 years ago now… and I’m STILL speechless 😂 incredible places ❤
Love watching your travel videos..the views, you having fun not to mention all the details. It helps me decide what I can do and what is going on my bucket list which seems to be growing. Thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you for sharing. You were in my back yard. I’m up in the north desert area, about one hour away. It has been said that we need to sometimes see things a new from someone else, to appreciate the beauty around us. I love our wide open spaces surrounded by our majestic mountains. Our wonderful sunsets and sunrises. I sometimes forget how much of the stars we see at night out here. I’m usually reminded of the stars when family comes to visit. They are always at awe of them. I sat back and pondered this, when you were simply pointing out those rocks. Yes! They are pretty, aren’t they!?? ❤😊. Thanks for the gentle reminder.😊. Safe travels, take care and PACK THAT GARMIN………..cheers 😊😊😊 waving back.
I hear you on all that! Amen ✨
Really enjoyed this travel vlog! Always enjoy watching and listening to your adventures! Having a disabled child, you showing and describing all the details of the space and area really help our family decided if this is something we can or cannot do, so thank you for that. Safe travels with your family!
I’m so happy you found the vid useful! Thanks for watching ☺️
Thank you for taking us along on yet another awesome travel vlog. I appreciate your assessment on these places and the views are amazing. 🙂
Looks like you're taking it all in, good going Jen thanks for sharing your up close and personal experience with Joshua Tree.
Always! Thanks for watching ☺️
Oh how l have missed your travel videos!! So excited they are back !!
Glad to hear it! More to come 😎
love love love your travel vlogs 💙
Glad you like them! ❤️
Not sure if it is accurate, but it seems that the loud booms that you hear at Joshua Tree are from the Marines Corps Air Ground Combat Center. I am in the Midwest and live close to an active base and they can get loud and shake our entire house when they are training.
Yes, 29 Palms is the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Training Base, and it's also the second entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. My son is there now for his 2 week training. Love my Marine❤
Great video with lots of fun and twists and turns.
Dear W/ Wonder , Ive really enjoyed the Joshua Tree adventure, Just wanna say thanks for taking us w/ you, Ive always enjoyed the videos of every where.
Currently taking care of two sick kids and this was the perfect escape I needed! Thanks for sharing ❤
I hope they feel better soon! 💕
Yay for another travel video!! Joshua Tree is a bucket list item for me too so I really loved and appreciated this peek into the area - it’s as beautiful as I’ve imagined. Hope the knee stays feelin fine, enjoy your upcoming trip with your kiddos and… “pack your garmin girl!” 😂 Toodles! 👋🏻
I hope you get there! No camera can do any of this justice - just breathtaking. And the Garmin is back with Blue now so whew 😅 Thanks for the reminder!
Haven’t watched it all but really hope you made it to Pappy and Harriet’s in Pioneertown!!!!
Wonderful to see you back on your solo travel trips, I live your travel blogs & find them very inspiring. I just bought a converted VW camper & plan to Ireland & the Scottish highlands & Western Isles in it.
That sounds wonderful! Wishing you beautiful adventures ✨
That was fantastic
❤️❤️
what a great video!!!!!
So very picturesque and enjoyable, love the storytelling and overall ambiance here! Fantastic cinematography my friend!
Thank you so much 😁
Oh. it's really really cool.
The booms are from the military base in Twentynine Palms.
Best video ever.
Hi Jen, thanks a lot for sharing. Not sure someone already told you but the link for the meditation is the same as the market one. Maybe you wish to review this. Best wishes from France 😊
You stopped in my neck of the woods, South Orange County. Enjoyed the video and took notes on exploring JT.
Seriously, that car wash was NO JOKE. 10/10 recommend if you want your car to look cleaner than it did day one 🚙
Did you find out what those booms were that you heard when hiking in Joshua Tree?
I did not 🤔
Great video Jen! Reminder to pack your Garmin! Also, the mountains you had pointed out may have been Mount San Jacinto. You may want to look into a hike called "Cactus to Clouds" to summit that over 10k peak. It's a challenge that may be in your wheelhouse.
Thanks for the tips! ⛰️
How do you navigate traveling and staying places that possibly don’t have cell service? In terms of keeping in contact with your kiddos or if there was an emergency and their Dad needed to contact you. Joshua Tree looks beautiful!
I live in Phoenix. I love not changing time twice a year. But yes, it is a pain when I travel to other time zones when the time changes.
My gosh, it gets so confusing! I really hope we decide to erase this whole time change business nationwide at some point 🤷♀️
I have that book which I haven’t read yet will have to move it up on the to be read list.
It’s an amazing read!
my mom loves telling a story from the early 90's of how we went to Montana / Wyoming and went to multiple events too early ...hilarious now but not then. LOL!! i wish we would give up the time change completely. i am thankful you are sharing, we gave up camping (similar to what you were speaking of on those young men, we found that there were lots of folks who do camped/hiked who didn't or should have been, didn't do their research or know how to survive (have water, have proper clothing, etc.) and it was a real hazard for us, so we don't do it any more. we have been doing Air BnB's lately. it works for now, never know what we might do in the future? never been to this area, would so miss those lush green trees. always so excited for you and your travels. do it all, feel comfortable in whatever you do, pray your knee that it will heal quickly. i always wonder how when you are at your run events in Disney and then i see you now, i know it is not up to date (present time, etc.) but you are speaking of your knee i wonder how you fit it all in when you might be in tip top shape knee wise or whatever injury. i recall you were speaking of REI shoes in the past, are those the ones that have a good sized toe box? curious. ( ;
I think it makes sense that our travel needs/wants shift with us with time. How boring if we all remained the same all the time, right? Thanks for the well wishes on the knee - fortunately it was just a weird one time thing. And I do love my altra’s but this specific model shredded my toes so I returned them. REI has a great policy about that. Generally I love Altra’s “original fit” models which have a wider toe box. Hope this helps! 👟
@@WithWonder thank you. not only for myself but my Dad is looking for a wide toe box as well. have a great weekend!! glad to hear you are on the mend. ( ;
Jen, If you come back to Door County, contact me, bring your guitar!
Hi! My family and I are taking our first ever national park road trip in a couple of months. I’ve always loved your content but now appreciate it even more! Would you have recommendations for the best apps and such for figuring out the best trails at parks etc?
Fabulous as erver ~ and friendly reminder ... please put the Garmin in your backpack !!!
I did 😊 Thanks for the reminder!
Some digital clocks can look at different time zones at the same time. Daniel had his linked to several different places.
You should get some Camco leveling blocks for Blue. I use them with my camper to even out the terrain. They are lightweight.
Leveling blocks have been on my list for a long time. I’ll check those out! Thanks 😊
I know I’m partial, but I think you should consider traveling to Arkansas “The Natural State”. Lots of state parks here! Beautiful hikes with waterfalls and beautiful lakes. ❤
For sure I’ll get there one day. Thanks for the recs!
@@WithWonder I'd love to see more midwest travel as well! My husband and I looked into visitng Kohler, WI after you had been there and it looked so lovely!
Beautiful, Jen ❤
Thank you! 😊
Ohhhh!!!! Just clicked but I know I will love this ❤❤❤
Joshua Tree looks beautiful.
A lot of vanlifers I watch are very careful of not letting any moisture accumulate in their cars, I think because of the risk of damp and mold, so I'm interested if you used any kind of dehumidifiers in your car to be able to leave water in there for such a long time?
Hi there, I’m so loving your video’s. I would love to connect with you. I live just outside of Chicago.
Oh Jen, I love this, so gorgeous!!! So so happy you got here....we only have driven by on the highway when we flew and enjoyed Phoenix a couple days then rented a car and drove to Anaheim, of course for Disney, but a place I would like to see is going to Joshua Tree, not just views and signs from the highway.....I am so proud of you, you are so motivating to others ....I equally love and enjoy all your videos, both travels and Disney runs!! Thanks so much Jen for sharing these trips and runs! Sorry about your knee pain....once in a blue moon mine too and I think "what"?
Totally worth a visit, even briefly, on your next road trip! It’s just stunning. I’m so glad you like the vids. Thank you for your kind words. Cheers to happy knees and more trails!
I just got back from Joshua Tree a couple of weeks ago. Im disabled and have limited mobility, but Joshua is one of those places you can choose your adventure. So many places to see that are handicap friendly. We are hoping to retire their. Yucca Valley is so beautiful.
I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed your time there and found it accommodating ❤️
Beautiful views and adventures,Jen.
I'm sure it was delicious but, the Artichoke lemon dip is not hummus. In Arabic, “hummus” translates directly to “chickpeas” and this legume is the condiment’s main ingredient.
Interesting - but the man who sold it to me and made it called it hummus and it was indeed mainly chickpeas. The artichoke and lemon were just added bonuses 😊
What did u think of the book you were reading in the last video..The Storyteller? Have you read Nightingale? I read them back to back as Im n 2 book clubs. Im gonna move on to a light hearted read.. those were intense
Loved Storyteller - will read Nightingale soon, it’s in my pile. I seem to enjoy intense fiction 📚
@@WithWonder Nightingale has a great plot twist also.
Lol I have a 4runner and thinking of taking a long trip to Europe was worried about it not working or turning on when I returned after sitting for 2 or 3 months love Trader Joe's I can spend alot of money in there😊
I recommend getting your car serviced not long before you’re going to store it and part in a place that’s protected from the elements if you can 🚙
The woman on the podcast, We Can Do Hard Things, is she Kathleen from the Hungry Hiker?!
Glennon Doyle
Always such interesting and engaging content...from 100 miles due west of Chicago.
Thanks for watching! 😁
The guys were probably marines, they’re camels. 🤣
Also how do your stickers stay on your water bottle, I wash the outside and mine come off so I don’t put any on.
Good to know 🐪🤷♀️😆 And I scrub the insides and straws of my bottles with a brush but generally the outsides just need a rinse. So far the stickers have stayed on
I think you have the wrong Instagram linked to this RUclips page.
Are you ever going to bring Winnie on any of your trips?
Unfortunately, Winnie passed away 😢
My Winnie angel comes with me everywhere I go, forever 💕🐾🪽
Girl, this is California. Try not to go there alone, get a few friends to be safe.
Maybe consider taking a naturalist class and ….
