I always love your videos and especially this one, when you shared the moment you knew you wanted to leave your marriage. I contemplated leaving mine so many times and after 32 years I'm divorced (for a year now) and feel so free, at peace and in love with my life. I have my sons with me, a good job that I'm close to retiring from and my siblings. It's always wonderful to see how other women have empowered themselves, for themselves. Happy New Year! Iman

Thank you for sharing. I have to say that there is nothing wrong with slowing down, grabbing a book or watching a movie on a rainy day and simply relaxing. Bonus to have a real wood fireplace!! What an awesome time. I’m so glad you got to do just that! Take care and stay safe.
Looking forward to seeing more of your adventures in 2024! 😊 🎉 Have a wonderful blessed New Year 🎉

The Redwoods is an awesome place to visit and hike the trails. Loved this video. Good place for families to camp and hike and play in the river

Isn't California amazing? I love how we have such beauty from the ocean, hills and redwoods. I live in the Bay Area, and we have massive redwoods in our yard, and live just on the edge of a redwood forest. I love seeing this kind of hike. The air is so fresh and the foliage is straight from a fairytale.

As a Californian myself. Agreed. Although we now live in the Central Valley, there's something beautiful about the farm, the fog, the almond blossoms and the rivers.

I live here!! Fun fact, many movies have been filmed in fern canyon including Jurassic Park and some of the earlier Star Wars, hence the forest be with you sticker. And we call them crab pots! It’s nice to see the area shown so beautifully and respectfully and in a lovely light. If you ever come back the Ladybird Johnson Grove trail in Orick is lovely, but some trails there you need a permit for.

I love the redwwods! You were not too far from where they filmed the Endor scenes in Star Wars. We went there in 2016, so amazing! My favorite hike though was Stout Memorial Grove there in the NP. There is a tree in there that is so enormous my whole family of four held hands around it and we didn't even make it halfway around it. Fun video!

HI Jen, I really like your hikes/trips. Thanks for posting them. May I say that I also liked a lot when there was music during your hikes (you were then adding with subtitles)? I like when you are talking (even a lot 😉) but also when there are music moments with beautiful landscape, this was a great balance. Hugs from France 🙂

Absolutely stunning video! It brought back childhood memories when my dad would take my sisters and I to Fern Canyon. On our way to Oregon from Southern California. Thank you for your vulnerability of your memory. Look how far you’ve come and look at your strength you did it girl and you’re happy and it shows! May the new year continue to bless you and your children.

Absolutely loved your video. It popped up and I saw the words, redwoods and I was hooked. I’ve seen the redwoods and the sequoia and love them both. It’s hard to explain just how majestic they are. I live in Arizona and had that majestic feeling the first time I saw the Grand Canyon but not any of the following times. With the big trees you get that feeling each and every time you see them. Have you ever been to Calaveras State Park in Calaveras County California? Plan a trip. You will not be disappointed. While the sequoia is not taller than a redwood it is larger in diameter. You will be amazed. You will also be close to Yosemite. And if you love quaint little towns with great people there is Sonora, Columbia, Angel Falls, Murphy, etc. All rich in history. It’s my favorite place. Your video is mesmerizing. I hope my husband can enjoy it when he comes home. He does all our travel planning. Thank you so much for this video.

Loved watching this! My husband and I frequent the area often as well as the Oregon Coast. I totally understand why you didn’t want to go further South especially when you weren’t feeling well and it was miserable weather. Hopefully, you’ll be able to visit the Redwoods State Park in Humboldt County sometime. It is truly spectacular. ❤

My Garmin Inreach hasn’t been tracking correctly either. I think it occurred during a recent update. My mileage is way off now, as in miles, compared to my Garmin watch and posted sign mileage. Frustrating! Hopefully should I actually need help, the GPS function still works. 😬

Redwoods have shallow roots for their size. The wind blows through here and they blow over

Even with your phone this was another very enjoyable travellog! The scenes of the redwoods were amazing! You definitely captured how enormous they are when you actually stood in front of them.
Also, as a cat owner i can tell you there is no single way to pet a cat...they will let you know if you are doing it wrong! 😂
    Have a happy 2024, Jennifer!!🎉

It's so obvious to see what kind of comments you have to slog through on social media. I'd like to apologize for my fellow man. The Internet has made it so easy for people (?) to be unkind! It's so easy to scroll by content you find offensive, yet people seem to find joy in trying to bring others down to their very low level. Personally, I'd turn all comments off and just go on living your life. You owe none of these ladies (?) anything. Keep being real Jen. Your supporters have your back 💙
