@@artprof oh yeah! Im not much of a crayon artist, but I was just curious what techniques might be applicable with crayons from a professional. The most effective way I've seen layering (aside from melting them like encaustic onto a canvas) would be to simply scrape the wax off after it built up and layer upon that.
@@dominicw4723 Very cool! I think you might like this video with RISD Prof Tony Janello, he is the one who taught me this crayon drawing technique: ruclips.net/video/QL5HZD1kEjY/видео.html

I feel like it’s a rite of passage for every artist to fall out of love with art 😂 and what better time to pick up the pencil than now in quarantine. We believe in you! - Hema Somaya, Art Prof Staff
U are so talented.
You're inspirational. I subscribed and saving this video for moments where I feel like my focusing too much on perfection instead of immersing myself in my artworks and enjoying the development process. Very helpful video with so many valuable lessons! Btw, that portrait came out spectacular, beautiful!
Thank you! Yes it's easy to bother yourself and pick at what you're doing when you draw, I do the same thing. This tutorial we have on gesture drawing talks about how to deal with that: ruclips.net/video/IGHgsRO6Kro/видео.html -Prof Lieu
