the Michael Meyers bit was hilarious
He has a great jawline, so all is forgiven!
What an affect a bit of good editing and sound design can do :D
Agreed. That was top moment!
I thrown off a second due to the _Austin Powers_ joke made just earlier in this video.
Funny that if he wasn't good looking he would be called a creep at every interaction.
This movie needed at least one more flying cow than it had.
It had chickens
"No, I think that's the same cow."
Nah, the chicken was great.
PETA isn't going to be happy about this. They might even start protesting at the path of the tornado with placards and banners on animal cruelty in a tornado event.
You need a flying cow to make a great moovie.
"Turn right" "Turn right." "Right here" "TURN LEFT!"
I did NOT see that twist coming!
So, basically, tuning around and heading back the way you came.
listen to my instructions sameer!!
"mr beast but less exploitive" - brilliant line!
7:53 *Mr Breeze'st.*
I'm calling it now: Twisters is a secret M Night Shamalan project. In Twisters II, Kate will discover her actual weather powers and join forces with other heroes from the Unbreakable Trilogy cinematic universe.
Whaat? Noooo! 😮
Yes, and not only that but we will learn that Tyler Owens is the long-lost identical twin brother of Hangman from Top Gun: Maverick, resulting in an epic scene where Kate uses her powers to stop two tornadoes while Hangman flies between them in an F18 because reasons.
The day day after the day after yesterday
Uhh buddy If you're expecting the hero of Unbreakable to join... I have some bad news.
@@rumali_roti7406 too soon, buddy... too soon
Using The X-Men Theme for predicting the weather was PERFECT since they have an UNCANNY ability to know the weather 😆🌪️
Yes! Came to the comments to see if I was hearing things. 🤭
I was only half listening to this video (working on something on another monitor) and I got chills when I heard that moment, had to rewind to confirm what I thought I'd heard. Heh.
2:10 for anyone looking 😂
That Michael Myers bit was everything 😂. I'm glad im not the only one that was convinced he was stalking her
When you're attractive, stalking people is ok.
THANK YOU for calling out the extremely bizarre decision the movie made to explicitly state that most or all of the property destroyed was underinsured or uninsured, then antagonizing the only way these people could get *any* financial relief from their ruined livelihoods. I'm not saying I want big corporations purchasing up all the land, but when your opens are "take the money and move on" or "fail to rebuild due to the money you don't have" I'd take the former any day.
It was same with the human antagonists of _Twister_ also being designated villains who weren't doing anything remotely evil beyond, gasp, wanting to actually make money off their meteorology while not really screwing over anyone else. So at least the series--ugh--is consistent on that front too. Yay?
@@MusicoftheDamned
The problem is that this series is trying to play at the idea that it's like a horror movie with the tornadoes being the "monsters" but since this is _weather_ you can't really designate it the "villains" so the movie felt that someone had to be the "bad guys". But it's so transparent that you can't really believe it.
Long term, it will lead to easier exploitation of the common person because they have to rent if nobody owns land anymore. And corporations aren't known for having a well-developed love of human rights.
But why stick that in a dumb tornado movie?
When I watched it, the implication seemed to be that the investor supported their technology so he could be first on the scene, catch them while they were still emotionally vulnerable, and offer them much less than anyone would have offered later. But they do a terrible job of spelling that out.
@@RaymondGWthey don’t do a terrible job spelling it out, it literally is the whole theme of the subplot.
Without literally smacking the viewer in the face with spoken exposition all the info is there and not hidden.
Rip bill paxton
And Phillip Seymour Hoffman
saw him yesterday rewatching Aliens, he was so underrated
@@lilmissknowitall5775GAME OVER MAN !
Twister is such an iconic movie... years later, I watched Frailty, and realized that Bill Paxton was just a really awesome person.
@@Frosty_tha_Snowman oh my god, I just watched Frailty. He was a great actor but he was a gifted director , wish he made more, frailty is astounding
RIP Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Bill Paxton.
Also apparently Helen Hunt wanted to direct her own sequel, but make it about her character and her daughter that she had with Billy continuing to chase tornados.
That probably would have been a better movie.
🤷🏿♂️ we may never know. But this movie is great so I don't even care
@@jasondavis2995Great?
@@Aelanna Watching cheese turn moldy would be a better movie...
No, she said she wanted it to be about black and brown students from an HBCU, not her daughter.
"No one's safe from a sudden outbreak of country music." I lost it at that.
Her: You took everything from me.
Every Twister Ever: I don't even know who you are.
Opening scene: "What is Kiernan Shipka doing here? I had no idea she was in this."
Final scene: "WHAT THE HELL IS PAUL SCHEER DOING HERE? I HAD NO IDEA HE WAS IN THIS!!!"
How DID this film get made.
The fact they killed her off in the first ten minutes of the film... I'm not mad, you're mad!
@@unvergebeneid I was mad lol
Hilarious how Glen Powell's character here purposefully drives into tornadoes, yells loudly in livestreams, and shoots fireworks into tornadoes, and yet is still more genuine than Mr. Beast
And much prettier.
I think he somewhat based of a real storm chaser named Reed Timmer who is very loud and does have a special truck called the dominator that he uses to drive into tornados he has a RUclips channel highly recommend
@@aquamarinerose7639 I'd honestly be surprised if Timmer wasn't the inspiration for Tyler Owens. They're pretty similar.
The mr beast hate is really weird. It feels like people are mad that he's actually doing some good, and making them look bad by comparison, so they're cheering for him to get torn down
@@susantherestorerHe is and Reed was an advisor.
Make an Honest Trailer for Beetlejuice to celebrate the release of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
Oh great, you summed him!
They will I think. That's what they do usually.
Do you realize what you just did?!
dude dont say it 3 time
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
My girlfriend is from Oklahoma, and she never gets tired of how both of these movies act like nobody in Oklahoma knows what to do during a tornado.
"There gonna make him do this 'til he's 90" is going to become a staple of this channel, isn't it?
"Alan!"
@@westrim My thoughts exactly. It could be the new "Alan"
they're* gonna......
Alan's gonna make him do this until he's 90!
Ok, that Michael Myers joke was brilliant. 😄
Might be in the minority but I was pleasantly surprised they didn’t have them kiss
I usually like a nice romance / kiss scene in movies, but... not with these two 🤦🏽♂️ So yeah, I'm glad they didn't lol
Same, I felt it would've been too cliche and tropey. It felt more realistic actually when getting to know someone.
Agreed. Wish they'd removed the love triangle altogether.
@@neoasuraMore cliche and tropey than chasing her through an airport? 😙
Got to save something for the sequel Twistest.
The horror music when he arrives randomly was genius😂
Wife and I literally just left the theater watching Twisters, checked the phone after the movie and this uploaded literally at the same time we were watching this in the theater, portal opened...
Wait, this is in theatres now? I didnt even know it was a thing when i clicked this video. I figured it was some 2010s direct to stream movie.
@@caosisaac yeah man it's recent! This is a recent film. I just saw it earlier this month. It's a good watch, pretty accurate from a meteorology standpoint, though Reed Timmer does a video covering what is accurate/inaccurate.
The thing about the bad guy offering money for the properties of the victims... I loved that you touched on it. I get that the point is he's undercutting the price but when you look at the two groups and think which one you'd rather face in a tragedy... handing out free water bottles being the noble option is like a teenager wrote this lol
Capitalism is bad, m'kay? Except with movie studios do it of course.
They weren’t just handing out water bottles, they were feeding relief workers and helping clean up after the tornadoes hit.
Legitimate stormchasers stop the chase and immediately go into search and rescue mode.
It's also worth noting that the money guy isn't giving them money right then. Those people could be waiting weeks or more before they see a dime of whatever the money man is offering.
Food and clean water and clothes is much more important immediately after a tornado.
Storm Chasers literally partake in relief efforts.
. . . who I'm surprised wasn't Zack Snyder's first choice:
"I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE"
chef kiss right there
These movies are extended commercials for the tornado proof dodge ram
That Ram made it through to the end 😂
@@sweetfreeze5528 you're damn right, brotherrrrr. Only an F5 is strong enough to take on a 2024 Ram 1500!
Everyone knows Rams are tornado proof. Proven fact of life
I love how this world seems to have no meteorological event warnings, since everyone is going about their business, with the tornadoes so close to you can just look Up and see them.
Yeah, I had a problem with that rodeo scene. They would have known two days before that it was going to be an enhanced risk day. Plus some of the street lights were still working after being hit by an EF-5 tornado. Bogus!
@@terrib627 Not everything was hit by the tornado, just what was in its path.
Almost like getting the sensors in the tornado in the first movie meant nothing.
@@MidnightSonnet... That rodeo bugged me. You would think that all events would be postponed a few days until this outbreak was over.
"Saint Hoffman" is the best reference to an actor I've heard on this channel, hands down.
YES!!! It made me smile.
Phillips Seymour Heroin
The Michael Myers bit...maybe one of their best. 🤣
I friggin lost it at "Clark C**t" 🤣
If they ever made a Nice Guys 2 Glen Powell would be a great villain in it. He's got great timing and could have an especially great dynamic with Gosling's character IMO
You forgot the super chill towns that still decides to have family events, baseball games and town fair despite the news hollering that its tornado season. 😅😅😅
I thought it was hilarious how in the first one there were the "bad" weathermen who were just in it for the money :P
Yeah, the human antagonists of the first movie were always designated villains who weren't actually villainous, especially compared to the anger issues that (R.I.P.) Bill Paxton's asshole but "heroic" character had.
I think their point was they wanted to help people.
Like the guy who sold the patent for insulin for $1 so everyone could have it but big pharma added an ingredient to get a new patent and charge $300+ per month.
The just needed funding for the project and would share the results to save lives rather than being motivated to make a profit.
How is that not bad?
3:13 Glen Powell is responsible for producing the moisture effects in your 4DX theater 😂😂😂
Was half expecting a gust busters joke
I thought the same thing. Missed opportunity or did they think of it and decide to go another way?
The Wind Breakers joke made me laugh more than it should.
Daisy Edgar-Jones could easily claim to be Anne Hathaway's younger sister and I'd totally believe her.
Ehhhh.... She looks more like a Fanning.
They look nothing alike to me
@@alexgrissom3513 I never said she looked like Anne Hathaway, rather like she could be related to Anne Hathaway.
@@bangslamwham88 “I never said 2+2=4, just that 2+2=4”
I get what you're saying, it's not that they look alike, it's the "nothingness" of their facial expressions in some bits and pieces.
The clear choice between "Good smart guy" and "Stalking Hunk" bit was both funny and hit right in the feelings at the same time..
00:21 That cutscene was so incredibly predictable but yet so perfect at the same time lol
Never drink anything at ending name credits! I choked on water when he shouted CLARK C**T!!!
Twisters and Oasis are back + WWE going back to TV-14 , 90s Gen X nostaglia is in full swing! Though the less said about the new Crow movie, the better!
I love that the romance part of this movie is actually just a high budget Hallmark movie where a country girl who moved to the city goes back to her hometown where she falls in love with the charming country guy & gets convinced to ditch city life & return to her hometown.
lmaooooo the way he just shows up in her barn like nothing and no one bats an eye
He brings the moisture for the 4o plus 😂😂😂😂😂 Brilliant
You should do the original _Beetlejuice_ in time for _Beetlejuice Beetlejuice!_
Oh no, I’ve summoned him!
So what?
It's Beetlejuice.
That's just the way he is.
it's showtime!!!
5:50- damn that Zac Synder Superman joke cuts deep lmao
Doing her thing.
w - what's her thing?
Tornado's show up, wreck stuff and leave.
Tornadoes attended the Prometheus School of, umm, tornadoe-ing 😂
0:01 OMG My coment
Haha lol
Ride that high! 🖖
Clever
Great coment
Honestly, goals.
Once I realized that Javi looked like the love child of Terrence and Clint Howard, my ability to reinvest was lost
How can you not give a shout out to Bill Paxton's son? He had a cameo (8:42)
That was sweet to see James show up.
“FOOD! FooooooDD! FOOOOOOOD!”
We crave sustenance!
My head canon is that the main lady from this gets sucked up into a tornado, but instead oof being sent to Oz she gets sent to Tatooine so decades later she can say “Storm’s coming, Ani.”
"Wind Breakers"😂😂😂😂
This was quite possibly my favorite Honest Trailer ever.
Okay I thought dceu zack snyder jokes were dated but this one was gold 😂
"Pitchfork's Best New Meteorologist"
ha ha, well played, I was expecting "Tornado on the Radio"
Was that a quiet X-men animated series theme snuck into 2:09 *LOL*
Yup
Alien Romulus is next! 😂
But that stalking music was legend
An Honest Trailer for Borderlands better be on the horizon.
Don't worry, they'll probably do it after Borderlands is done breaking the box office and bringing in all that money 😂
4:28 Sad no kiss in the end? Now you know how the losing guy in the love triangle feels.😅
It feels like I am going to be asking for an honest trailer for Daredevil Netflix series till I'm 90.
I would assume that the odds are against that.
Odds are probably that you will be dead or senile before turning 90.
Same but for The Umbrella Academy. I've been asking for a trailer for that since 2019.
They’re probably waiting until horn again next year
@@CriticsCupofficial”Horn Again” sounds like the Cinemax version of Matt Murdock’s womanizer years.
NEVER go see one of these kinds of movies with a meteorologist 😬
Nah man that's like half the fun, watching them have a meltdown over all the scientific inaccuracies
Did you?? 🤣
One of the meteorologists at the TV station I work at was super excited about this movie.
It’s actually fairly accurate, with some exceptions of course. A lot of the tornado science, even the images shown on the radars etc are spot on.
Killing a tornado? Plausible in theory, not on how the movie executes.
Biggest problems are that Oklahomans don’t need storm chasers to tell them what to do during a tornado and they would never be surprised by a storm the way the people at the ball game, rodeo and El Reno were. They’d be watching the weather all day long every day during an outbreak like this.
Only 10% of buildings in OK have basements so that’s accurate.
Empty Pool being a safe place… also accurate. Get low with barricades around you. Debris is the biggest danger then.
Twisters is far more scientifically sound than the original… but it’s far from perfect.
I was referring more to the nerdgasm they have 😆 and yeah, I saw it with a met
The Mike Myers part killed me 🤣
(Extremely British noises)
Greatest casting ever!
Glen Powell with that capybara energy
I was expecting one of the lines for the mom to be something like “because we couldn’t afford Helen Hunt this time,” 😂
Please say: "Yesterday was Labor Day."
"I don't care about the people" was the fastest and least sensible heel turn I've ever seen in a movie
I kind of liked him up until that point
@@NaturalAegyo buying people's uninsured properties isn't evil and learning how to predict tornadoes is incredibly important, he did nothing wrong until that point. I think they knew that and forced him to be hateable lol
Kind of on a par with, "I don't care about you. I just want your vote."
The Fall Guy honest trailer please!
THE KISS!!! LMAO I was waiting the whole movie for that just to get NOTHING!!! 😆😆
How about an Honest Beavis and Butthead trailer?
See the original Twister was 90's camp and it knew it was a camp film.
I love that what they kept from the first movie is the idea that if a tornado kills someone you care about, the answer is to try to ... kill tornadoes.
4:10.. "Give me a copy of that".. ahahah
I love that I always get ads with the Epic Voice Guy when I watch these videos 😂
Austin Texas Powers... also, "Bill Nye thr Science Simp" also, also, the "evil villain" who offers real money for uninsureable land. I thought I was the only one who noticed that.
his whole thing was awesome
Please say “If you feel it, chase it!”
OMG THE STALKING KILLED ME 😂😂😂
The Mike Myers bit was hilarious
"Please expect delays" at the end of the "just kiss" montage is one of the funniest Honest Trailer jokes I've seen in a while.
Extremely British noises😂😂
's3xless platonic love triangle' 😂😂
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Seen it twice in the cinema so far and I’m probably going to watch it again this weekend. Can’t wait for the Blu-ray release date.
Me too! Fun!
Not only the majestic voice in the video I came here for, but ALSO the same voice in the ad (for Universal Studios amusement park) before the video. Groooovy. :)
5:27 - IT'S GOT AN AX!!!!
I died when he just showed up in her moms garage out of nowhere. Like rude, knock first at least!
Superman not caring about people! 👌
"Wait that came out wrong" had me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can ya epic voice GUY say....."Did you see that? I DID THE THING BOB!"
Please say in your perfect manner "Autoglass repair, autoglass replace!"
Read this poem in your epic voice "Some flowers are blue, some flowers are pink, some flowers smell nice, some flowers just stink!"
For a state that regularly sees tornadoes, the homes are built with sticks and prayers, there's a ridiculous lack of shelters or basements, and if you do have a shelter, it was probably built poorly and has several feet of water in it when you need it the most. Welcome to Oklahoma
Appreciate the Austin Texas shoutout
This was the funniest Honest Trailer in a long time. Good work!
My feelings will be hurt if we don't get an Inside Out 2 Honest Trailer!
The Halloween music 😂😂
I went into this hating this movie but the movie was better than expected. Rip bill Paxton
The (extremely British noises) really got me 🤣
1:03 PAUSE! 👀
1:03 No Diddy
One of my favorite parts is how the movie addressed the whole sheltering under an overpass thing. People believed that was a good idea because of that famous video from the 90s of a film crew doing just that. They just got lucky.
Glenn Powell is so obnoxiously American I kinda love it.
