I think Jason was just trying to do something different from what the others were doing, his first turn wasn’t terrible, he just didn’t match what the others did.
I don’t know what everyone is talking about. I thought his style was the most unique and compelling, whereas the others were good, but I feel like I’ve heard it before
i think JRs shit was nasty! dudes improve is way underrated and the most dark and evil sounding of the guys on stage!

@@muman717 I know other guys are fabulous too. It is so hard to play in time, with feeling and shred techincally and find a balance with all these in one tune + pressure from the audience.... I took a big lesson out of it. Thanks for sharing!

I like how Thomas Briggs improvises using chord melodies and rhythmic approach at the beginning . While the other guys only can play licks and solos lol
it's very rare to see a young player who seems understand the importance of rhythm playing as well as lead playing

Saw this show in Philly and GODDAMN Thomas Griggs slayed!!! Was completely blown away.
First time hearing of Thomas Briggs. What group does he play with? Absolutely phenomenal improvisation.
Hes fill in on tour with intervals. He does a jazz trio thing on his own and does worship groups too.

Some people saying Jason has no "feeling" etc. I think that's BS to be honest, really enjoyed his parts just as much as the rest of the guys, all equally as good with their own style's to offer :)
Learn To Play Today! Definitely! Out of everyone there, I like Jason the best. He’s just the slight outlier in terms of style for this show, but trying to compare him to Nick for example just doesn’t mean anything lol
Hahaha exactly man completely agree with you! And Jason was my favourite too to be honest. Everyone always wants to compare but you just can't with these guys, they all have very unique styles and I appreciate and enjoy them all :)

Wow that was incredible. Next gen g4! First saw JR's audition cover for ASP and followed him SINCE. He puts a solid album out just may not have been his day on improv. Saw nick and Aaron perform in Manchester (uk) this year with polyphia and was such an amazing gig. These guys are all a credit to the industry and I'm glad they're all enjoying themselves so much

Kinda funny you can tell which guitarist is in the band with the drummer just based on the confidence and progression of the drums whenever he's on guitar.
