This was my very first computer model. The motherboard is fired and after all this time I have finally decided to fix my computer. Is there any way besides replacing it to start the motherboard again?
sadly they aren't the same and building a pc from the motherboard up is quite a task, you may want to start with a working pc that you upgrade for your needs. Gamers need a specific type, Photoshop users want other features.
If it always shows on the screen, 'Operating system not found' How can I fix it? The shop said that the motherboard needs to be changed. :( How is this related? Thanks for the answers!
it means the computer can't find an operating system to load. 2 possibilities I see are that 1) you need to fix the master boot record on your hard drive- look that up on google; fixmbr or 2)you need to re-install your operating system-probably on a new hard drive. If a reputable shop diagnosed that the motherboard is bad and that is true...time for another PC
I didn't use my laptop for a long time and I finally charged it up and turned it on and a boot up repair window came on. After that it would go off and come back on for no reason but every time it did this the boot up repair window would pop up. But now when I turn it on it will come on for a few seconds and go back off after taking battery out and putting it back in. It does keep a good charge. It a aspire one D257. Could this possibly be the motherboard is going out? Can anyone give me an ideal what the problem is.
Chris, it is possible this is a motherboard problem but I would recommend you explore some other simpler possibilities first. You may have a corrupt boot sector on your hard drive, try searching how to fix boot sector on hard drive. Also make sure your power supply is giving the required amount of juice. Have you tried booting from a rescue disk? Or from the repair/restore dick that came with your computer?
I have 2 laptops one was my gaming laptop but the fan stopped working so I took it apart so then I ruined it then now I’m on you tube on how to move my components to my other laptop
