My congratulations on the video, you were the only one who showed with step by step details how to do this cleaning procedure, I was very afraid to open it, after I saw your video, I got up my courage, I looked for several You tube videos, and none of them were as rich in details as yours, and the excellent image, I’m from Brazil and nique from here focused the video with these visual details so clearly, thank you friend for helping me to clean my Acer Notebook, which is the even yours, which you show in the video, and I ended up saving a few bucks thanks to you, I already wrote and gave a thumbs up, and pressed the bell, hug.

This was a very informative and paced video. I have this model computer long ago. It doesn’t work anymore. But thank you for this video for letting know how to un screw each bolt to see what goes inside a laptop and each key component works and were their placed. This was extremely helpful for a new IT beginner. :)

Great video! Used it to swap my Acer Aspire 5336's Celeron CPU for a Core 2 Duo T9600. Worked like a charm! This video doesn't show CPU replacement, but it would be the next step of disassembly and is pretty self explanatory if you can get that far- Take out the 4 spring screws from the CPU heat sink in reverse order of their numbers (4-3-2-1), remove it. Turn screw on CPU retainer to unlocked postion. Swap CPUS, apply some new thermal paste and reattach the heat sink with the screws in numbered order>
SSD swap, extra 2 GB of memory and now a swap to one of the best Core 2 Duos, this laptop has gone from so extremely slow it was unusable to.... Very slow. But usable!

This Acer model laptop lasted almost 10 years and it served me well. The only issue it developed was a weak battery and not charging, because the power port was damaged after I opened it several times to clean the dust.

My wifes laptop had an overheating/shutdown issue, so I installed coretemp, which showed the temps running very high. I vacuumed the fan slots (output side first) and it's running a lot cooler without tearing the whole machine apart. still running high at times though, so I may still have to do this. Good vid.

Great Video disassembly done perfectly I would have like to see you changing the thermal paste from Gpu and Cpu for an extra bonus. but this was great. one other thing these laptops overheat pretty easily because the thermal paste they put is bad quality and insufficient I replaced mine and it dropped the temperature all around .

13:00 - You shouldn't brush down a motherboard with a paint brush as this generates static which can kill the board. Its also a good idea, particularly on a laptop motherboard, to use an anti-static mat and wrist-strap.

When I try to do it, notebook beeps (sometimes one long beep, sometimes two short beeps and sometimes four short beeps). The same situation is when I try to press F8.
I checked RAM - bone works good in another notebook.

Thank you so much for taking time out and making this video, I have the same laptop and it will turn on but the screen will stay back, took it to a computer repair shop and they said it need to be thoroughly clean and said it would cost £45! I can't afford that so I came home and RUclipsd my laptop and found your video, cleaned it thoroughly but still doesn't work properly, bit at least I know its clean lol. Does anyone know what the problem could be? It turns on, as in all the lights light up but the screen just stays black and the computer silent. I would really appreciate if anyone has idea as what could be wrong, it does turn on every once in a blue moon, id say 98% it will turn on and the screen will stay off, the other 2% of the time it will come on, I have notice that the right at the bottom middle part of the screen t get hot very quickly. Any ideas??

And I think I only need to clean the fan, as my computer became very noisy and stops all the time now, do you think I still have to remove the keyboard and go by the front, or shoud I just open the back (I'm a little scared to break something)? Thank you very much!
