    This is really a great video and live example. It shows just how difficult dispatch can be in that you need to search several loads before getting one that works and this is all very time consuming. It shows the importance of quality dispatch and the value-added service that O/O drivers could benefit from. Well done sir!

I'd like to start on my own but there are still some things I'd like you to talk about in another video, and if you have already done so, please refer me to that video. • @zeyechmahir1020

      You could know if a load pays good by understanding what your rpm (rate per mile) and cpm (cost per mile) are. Basically rpm - cpm = profit per mile. You also asked what loads to stay away from. This can be partially solved by checking the delivery addresses. For example my guy in this video didn't take a load that was to be delivered in a suburban area. Secondly there are streets restricted for trucks, you can imagine how frustrated your driver will be if he reaches to that delivery address and finds out that kind of crap. Thirdly, it's highly recommended to keep up with weather conditions. Understand the route you are sending your driver to. Some routes have harsh weather conditions which may cause breakdowns or maybe more fuel due to struggling of the equipment. There are softwares that help you know that. Lastly avoid taking reefer loads in summer with commodities that require -20 or even-10 e.g ice scream. You will be counting loses

    Great video. I have a CDL-A and current medical card with hazmat and tanker endorsments. I have been driving an 18 wheeler for a couple of years. I want to get into the expediting cargo van business. Does having a CDL-A license with hazmat give me an advantage in this business? I need to use my hazmat. Are there a lot of companies looking for van drivers with hazmat?

    • @NeverStopTRK
      @NeverStopTRK  Год назад

      Hello. Having a CDL will not give you any special advantages. Piece of advice... Stick with semi trucks

    • @john-ug7nc
      @john-ug7nc Год назад

      @@NeverStopTRK Okay, that's the short answer. Here's the long one: Having a CDL Class A license with a hazmat endorsement can provide you with several advantages when starting a cargo van business as an owner operator. Although a CDL Class A license is typically associated with operating large commercial trucks, it still offers benefits for your cargo van business. Here are some advantages:
      Expanded Opportunities: With a CDL Class A license, you have the flexibility to operate various types of vehicles, including cargo vans. This allows you to pursue a broader range of job opportunities in the transportation industry.
      Increased Trust and Credibility: Obtaining a CDL Class A license requires meeting specific requirements and passing rigorous tests. Having this license demonstrates your commitment to professionalism and safety, which can instill trust in potential clients or employers. It enhances your credibility as a responsible and skilled operator.
      Hazmat Endorsement: The hazmat endorsement on your CDL opens up additional business prospects. It allows you to transport hazardous materials, such as chemicals or flammable substances, which can be lucrative due to the specialized nature of these deliveries. Many industries require hazardous materials to be transported securely and in compliance with strict regulations, and your hazmat endorsement positions you as a qualified operator for such tasks.
      Competitive Edge: Not all cargo van operators possess a CDL Class A license with a hazmat endorsement. By having these qualifications, you differentiate yourself from the competition and gain a competitive edge. It can make you more appealing to clients, particularly those who require hazmat transportation or value the extra credentials and expertise.
      Insurance and Permits: Some insurance providers may offer favorable rates to drivers with a CDL Class A license and hazmat endorsement, as these qualifications indicate a higher level of professionalism and training. Additionally, certain permits and authorizations may be easier to obtain with these credentials, streamlining the process for operating your cargo van business.
      Future Expansion Potential: Should you decide to expand your business in the future and venture into larger vehicles or specialized transportation, your CDL Class A license will already be in place. This can save you time and effort in obtaining additional licenses or endorsements down the line.
      While these advantages can be beneficial, it's important to note that specific regulations and requirements may vary by region and country. It's recommended to consult with local transportation authorities or regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations for your cargo van business. Mr. Never Stop Trucking if someone in the future asks you my question, just cut and paste my comment; you'll sound a whole lot smarter.
