    Fun fact, Mcconaughey's character was supposed to have a British accent, but his attempt at the accent made Guy Richie (Writer) change the entire plot so that his character moved to the UK after growing up in USA 😆

      This short clip highlights his incredible acting talent! Never heard of the movie just clicked on this clip and watched it and it's because of him that I now want to see this film. I'm going to try to find it tonight and watch it or some other time this weekend.       You know he started as a stoner and in cheesy romantic comedies. He made some money but knew it wasn't what he wanted, so to transition into more serious roles he stopped accepting offers. He had been type-casted at that point, so he decided to just keep rejecting roles for 2 years until he was finally cast in the Lincoln Lawyer and then Magic Mike where he proved his ability to adapt to these roles. Idk saw an interview recently thought it applied here

    For context : matthew had a guy go over to their shop (another guy who wanted the weed business so bad he could taste it) He proceeded to push the wife against the table and starts to try and assault her. That’s when the husband walks in and shoots him just before he can.

    Since no one else has said it - these lines are actually from The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare. Shylock, the og villian that gave this proposition was eventually bamboozled and lost everything. This included his religion, his business, and his daughter.

      As a rule I watch anything by Guy Ritchie, especially if it's a gangster film. He hits more than misses, and most of his films are listed in my top favs. If you haven't already, I recommend Wrath of Man with Jason Statham. It came out during the height of covid lock downs and didn't get the promotion and viewings it should. Excellent film.
