Ive seen this exact scenario play out a few times on Asmons vids. They try to jump that cliff to get to boss, then patrols come in and they back out the way they came, but its not clear either.
Came here to say exactly this. The mistake was in skipping mobs. Do. Not. Skip. In HC.

I always like to put more emphasis on strategical errors over mechanical ones.. The rogue and hunter failed mechanically, but the group failed strategically by skipping packs in HC, and also by not waiting for patrol before pulling.
it's like the quote from Avatar 1 where the major said: Pandora will shit you out with zero warning. it's the same when you do mistakes in HC.

@@aska221Ninja pulling is pretty much impossible if there is nothing left around you.
Here on the other hand, they had enemies behind them, in front of them, to the side of them. Basically in every direction.
That decision to jump down there cost them.
@@gh0un But in order for the hunter not to pull with his pet they would need to first skip the boss in order to clear. That would go against the whole argument of 'no skipping packs'.

Never EVER skip in HC.
Rule #1: Never skip mobs.
Rule #2: Clear an escape path.
Rule #3: Always have a plan if shit hits the fan.
Follow these and you cannot die. Its such a crazy easy game then.
And have 2 mages in the group for good luck lol.

yup, everyone knows (or should know) he uses flash bombs to fear druids and pets :D
dismiss pet then. If u see it go to other pack. Not saying it’s not a fast reaction in a chaotic situation but it’s possible. I say this as a 52 soul link lock.
The Beast Within makes the pet immune to fear and this was active when the pet went to the worms. He sent the pet there

Nah that was 100% the Rogue's fault. Yeah the pet pulled the borers but you guys had the pat and the borers easy. It was the rogue pulling the diemetradors that had it go fubar.
Blame the rogue, sure, but if you want to live in HC, NEVER SKIP PACKS.

As a HC warrior, you should never charge into a pack. Always range pull. Just a tip.
the goblin fears me as druid when i shift into beast forms, boomkin counts as a humanoid and he can't fear me when i farm mara, as soon as you ignored the double ele pat I could foresee this pull happening big rip
The goblin Tinkerer Gizlock has an ability which causes all beasts within 5 yards to run away for 10 seconds
His bird got pet scared and grabbed more mobs 😂😂😂

I highly suspect Hydra pulled the extra mobs and not the rogue, him being 45 compared to the 53 of the rogue his aggro range would have been much greater and they were standing about the same place. Yes the rogue was just a hint closer to the mobs but "Aggro radius varies with level difference at a rate of roughly 1 yard/level." (wowpedia)

The low level dungeons are meant to learn tanking, not the higher ones, tank as you level
True, but irrelevant because it doesn't matter how good you are if the rogue and hunter is pulling everything. You just get stat checked and die if you over pull.

This was a small mistake. Ziqo in a random group you have to anticipate blunders like this and improve your positioning to try to motivate these extra pulls as a dungeon tank
A little game knowledge check lead to deaths, the goblin boss will only fear beasts, aka hunter pets and shapeshifted druids.
Can’t fear pet while the beast within is active, the hunter sent his pet there for some reason

Hunter pet wasn't dismissed before jumping. That's what pulled the snakes.
The rock elementals were not really a problem for you guys... however, the hunter pet pull then the rogue backpedal pull... what a bunch of clowns in that group. The poor mage and healer...

You are putting a lot of blame on the rogue, even though you all back-peddled right into that group. The only difference between the rogue and the rest of you, is that the rogue ultimately walked one step too far and hence pulled. But let's be honest, that could just as easily have been anyone else. None of you were aware of that group. Sure Ziqo mentions it one second before, that doesn't count.
In fact, the fear could just as easily have pulled that group.
And no, I'm not the rogue nor do I know him...

Yes the hunter pet and rogue pulled extra but god damn if you didn't set your self up for it. Not clearing the area around a boss is just asking for it haha
Yeah, not sure why he kept pulling stuff out of the cleared room and back into the room full of mobs. I get the rogue pulled, but he was trying to get behind the mobs for backstab. There was no reason to keep pulling the mobs to the dinos.

I don't think the hunter griefed I think he fucked up tab targeting once he realised he fucked up he didn't roach out and tried to aoe them, then the rogue fucked up it was a series of fuck ups 😭

The mob was already aggroed before the rogue even went close to them on closer look, there is no way it was the rogue who pulled, it was the priest.
Atleast classic has no adventures of Black Hole Prince or Majorhomo Staghelm.

@@Ziqoftw This exact same situation happened on one of Xaryu's reaction videos called, "It's Always the Hunters Fault.." about 7:41 in, right down to the hunter pulling the worms! So crazy.
Veteran vanilla player tab targeting on pull to put a sunder on each mob you pulled up to two each is a good trick plus as a tank you should have lead to mark the kill target ... granted it's slow to do so it definitely helps to prevent wipes
And I agree hc never skip to much at risk
I keybind marks F1 through F5.. That way I can mark a full pack in under 3 seconds.
Lesson of the day : dont skip if you have pugs in group XD

Maybe, but it’s risky and doesn’t petri cost like 80 gold? I think for that money you can also just hire 3 healers and get hit by some normal mobs for 10minutes and you should be more than good :D

The Boss fears animals so dismiss pets and don't shape-shifting as druid

Honestly the distract not on the rogue per se. They didnt clear trash in HC and Hunter pet got Scare Beast from the goblin and aggrod everything. So combination hunter pet as always and skip.
Rogue f'd up, pet pulled.
But the root of it all is that skip.
This is why you don't skip packs.
