i love this show because all the tattoo artists willingly put the most abhorrent shit on the guests, and then go "oh my god why would anyone put this on somebody this is awful," and meanwhile the guests both know that they will get the most abhorrent shit put on them by the other person, but then go through with it and go "oh my god why would you do this fuck you"

Yeah, especially because pregnancy is really tough, and some couples just cannot have kids, so surrogacy is very helpful in those situations. Regardless if it's for money or not, i don't understand why the sister was railing on that soo hard?
@@rexana_rexana ya i noticed that right away... I've never heard anyone bash surrogates before, that was weird. Also, maybe she's mad bc she's not eligible to be a surrogate, for whatever reason. The requirements are strict, yet another reason to admire surrogate birth moms..
I vaguely remember hearing about surrogacy having strong potential for exploitation but that sounds more like a regulation thing rather than being against it 100%

I have nothing against surrogates themselves but surrogacy preys on poor women who need the money so bad that they’ll sell their lives and bodies for 10 months to grow someone else’s baby. obv this isn’t always the case w surrogacy (in some cases there is no exchange of money, sometimes a family member might carry a child for a family member who can’t, etc.) but too often the surrogate is being exploited

it's really weird.. like I know this is scripted and exaggerated for TV but if there are people who feel that way, they're really twisted people, I mean I could argue that if letting someone else use your uterus is prostitution then letting someone use your hands, like a company making you type on a computer, or do construction, is still prostitution. And then wouldn't anyone using their mouth for a service, phone operators, TV hosts, be prostituting? They're using their mouth to make money so? It's a totally illogical argument.
Plus to be frank, if she wanted to be a prostitute that's her business and her sister still has no say in it just because it's not her thing. And most people who call other people a prostitute in anger, whether the person is a literal prostitute or does something they see as "selling your body", it all roots down to that person's own insecurity with the level of sacrifice they're willing to make to get money. They see someone selling sex, or selling a safe space in their womb, and to that person both are the same, both are that person sacrificing something that she herself is afraid to sacrifice, so sees it as a bad thing, and also becomes ashamed that she doesn't have the courage to sell any part of herself, not even her hands and feet like any regular worker, by getting a job and contributing besides pinching coupons and mooching off her sister, probably because she sees working in an office as prostitution, selling her hands, and commuting to a job is selling her feet, it's beneath her, but it makes her poor and cheap, so she's both too proud to change but too ashamed to shut her mouth.
But also it's mostly a charicature, because I think almost everything is scripted. But seeing as there are actual crazy people out there like her who exist, my point still stands..

There’s a dark side to surrogacy where some people go to poor nations where desperate women will be surrogates for really cheap because they need the money to survive, and those women are at much higher health risks as a result of everything. So when you see someone who is choosing to be a surrogate out of a desire to genuinely help families then being shamed for doing it for the money, it’s just so disturbing. The people who are genuinely doing it just for the money need support, not shame. The people genuinely choosing to do it out of a desire to help others should be praised for their kindness.
good news is the tattoos look fake. no texture, they’re not red or scarred, reality TV tends to be fake, i genuinely hope they were told to do this for TV.

Also redness isn't usually that bad, it depends, but my tattoos have never gotten particularly red. Scarring shouldn't be occurring at all, so that definitely wouldn't make it fake.

The most devastating and harrowing an episode of this could be is one person gives the other a pretty nasty, petty mockery tattoo while the other came up with something really sweet. They reveal the nice, thoughtful tattoo first which makes tensions rise for everyone else. Then we see the harsh tattoo and the nice person just gets quietly sullen about it and apologizes they didn’t ‘play the game’ right.

Has that happened? I've only seen episodes where both parties do nice thoughtful tattoos or both parties do the most abhorrent tattoos.

okay but if these were real, can you imagine how fucked up that would be? they go through intense pain to get a life-ruining tattoo over some petty shit from a person they trust more than anything, and if they'd want to get it removed or changed, they'd have to go through even MORE pain to get rid of it... if someone i loved did that to me, i think i'd shut down, cry, and never talk to them again

the whole time i thought they were real tats because of the way they react, but there's no scarring and in the close ups like at 11:44 it just looks like paint. and thank GOD, this video would have haunted me otherwise
also if you watch enough of these you can tell they're pretty fake even in their reactions. Like the girl making a big deal "you put PEACH EMOJIS next to A***?!" Like oh yeah, the peach emojis are the worst part, that's a detail to point out when you're actually freaking out about a tattoo like that lmao. It's so fake, I've seen sisters and best friends beat each other right in front of the cops because one called the other a B****, there's no way they'd put actual tattoos like this on each other and just be like "Oh my God! How could you do this?!?! I'm QUITE upset right now! Goodness gracious, you brute!" Uh no, hands would be flying, shoes too probably, this is not a genuine human interaction, it's all scripted.
Yeah none of them look red or irritated at all. So unless they somehow magically got these tattoos and avoided looking at them through the entire healing process, it's fake. Which is a relief, but the sentiments behind this are still pretty cruel.

Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure it’s real, because if you Google the contestants they still have the tattoos or covered them with another one. Also, I’m not sure what scarring you’re talking about (cause you’re not supposed to have any scars after a tattoo), but I think the redness depends on the lightning, because my tattoos were just a little bit red around them and the redness went away in a couple hours. The tattoo masters are real too
@@Caldella I had no redness around my tattoo when it was fresh, and it was a cremation tattoo which usually get worse inflammation.
And I have an inflammatory disorder that gives me inflammation and bruising just from wearing a normal bandaid.

looks like I found a new show I need to binge. A slightly more wholesome version of this show is Tattoo Redo which I still found fun. Lots of terrible tattoos and some trash talking but they tend to give their friend/partner/sibling/etc. a tattoo cover up they'd like which is refreshing.
There's this show on Netflix forgot what it's called. But the premise is that someone has a horrible tattoo that needs to be fixed by covering it up with another tattoo but they're not allowed to choose what the new tattoo is going to be. It's actually pretty wholesome since their best friend, sibling, partners, children really have the best intentions.
Wouldn't it be like super fun if these two shows had a crossover

real tattoos are much more red and often slightly raised/puffy from the irritation. especially with shading and bigger coloured in spaces
@@axdonat No, they're real. You can google the people in this. My tattoos have never gotten all that red or irritated, it depends wildly on the tattoo and the person, so that's not really evidence that it's fake. Though it wouldn't surprise me if some of the more egregious ones were faked.
