The best part of everything is that all Omega watches are available and no stupid waiting list to discourage you in placing your order. Omega all the way.❤
The mesh bracelet completely changed my opinion of this watch. Before that I barely wore the Seamaster. But now it gets much more wrist time with the mesh bracelet! Omega should be selling this combo as a standard model (instead of having to buy the bracelet separately).
IMO they shouldn't sell this combo as standard... that way, it makes this combo rarer and therefore that little bit better. I'm def gonna pick up the mesh bracelet for my SMP300 soon. My OB sells both the steel (£720) and titanium ones (£1250) but I cant see the titanium one being justified since the steel looks even better.
I have exactly the same experience with my Planet ocean chronograph. The standard bracelet is slightly uncomfortable, with the heavy weight (250 g). The mesh bracelet is lighter and more comfortable, and provides a completely new look, overall.
I matched the white dial to the mesh and it is amazing! It’s a great differentiated competitor for the submariner (white and mesh vs black and steel links).
I treated myself to the blue dial version two years ago and it is fantastic, I have a 7" wrist and it fits fine. The case, bezel and bracelet are excellent, and with the crystal case back and stunning wave dial the Submariner just cant compete. I love it.
I had my heart set on the sapphire sandwich moonwatch after reseasrching for a good 12 months and on paper it is ideal for me. Went into the city for a watch browsing day with my wife with the intent of trying and buying a speedmaster, tried it on and was a bit underwhelmed. As a bit of an afterthought i asked to see the seamaster in blue and it just felt and looked great. Continued on and tried on an awesome Longines Hydroconquest Gmt (whch is great watch for a more affordable GMT) amongst other things and then went to lunch to discuss with my wife. My mind kept on going back to the seamaster (as did my wifes) and promptly purchased it. Im also a larger guy with over 8" wrists and it just fits so well and is so comfortable with the adjustable clasp. Also bought the rubber strap with the deployant clasp to change it up. Great all round watch i can see the bracelet potentially being an issue for some but personally i think its great.
100% I’ve got the roles submariner, gmt and explorer. And when you look at the details on the finishing of the new versions of the Omega, it can’t compete. So got the Titanium NTTD and I’m happy with it.
Best and most beautiful diver watch available on the market! No question about it! Even without the James Bond connection I would still love this watch! I love all of the details! It‘ so perfect!
I absolutely agree. I could absolutely have a one watch collection with my 300M. I have the original bracelet, the Omega mesh (no comparison to the cheap Chicomm) knock offs, and the Omega rubber strap on the Omega deployment clasp. I luv my Sea Dweller as well, but I would pick the 300M over it, and let’s not mention the value. Just crazy and kudos to Swatch for keeping to price reasonable
I have the blue dial version. LOVE IT! I like the newer model much more than the older models. I like the standard bracelet too. It's fine. No need to swap it out for the mesh. I also have a Submariner. Both get about equal wrist time, but if I can only have one, I'd choose the Sub. Fortunately, it's never going to come down to that. Both are keepers.
I had my first Swiss mechanical watch at age 4 as a present from my very special grand mother who taught us how to read, write and read the time well before time ! At 4 years old as I was reading and also reading time fluently. My older brother too. So our special grandmother offered each of us a tiny Swiss watch. It was an automatic but not waterproof, just dust proof. I still have it as a prized memory to this day… So having started years back I then got a Seiko quartz watch during the 70ies as we lived in Indonesia with frequent recreational trips to Singapore… Then an automatic Seiko. Then at 18 I broke into “luxury” territory with a brand new steel & gold square Cartier Santos with all its screws. As a mechanical and computer nerd I was drawn into these screws… Then, then, then after a few Swatches, Hamilton, IWC, a stellar JLC Memovox Tribute to Polaris 1968, I was waiting in the ailes for a titanium watch. Late 2019 the Omega newsletter set my sight on the Omega Seamaster NTTD. I ordered it in Paris whilst abroad then collected it in May 2022. It has not been off my wrist since then. So although I do enjoy other watch brands, especially JLC which I find has superlative class, finesse whilst also being discreet, now that I have an Omega _ years back I knew I had to have one _ and a very light, reasonably thin and special too, I am amazed by the movement regulation / timekeeping which thus far is totally out of this world 👀😳🤩😍🤔🧐😵💫. I was thinking to add a Rolex to my little collection but after checking the forums I found out that the issues of their 32XX has yet to be resolved once and for all. This makes me hesitant as buying a Rolex with a potential design defect could well become an annoying and expensive liability once the guarantee period has elapsed… with service required every 24 months or even less.
I can’t imagine calling the SMP Bracelet chunky. It’s the most comfortable bracelet I have ever worn! I had an SMP and Submariner. I still have the SMO, BUT NOT THE sub! That says how I feel about them!
Got it before price hikes in 2018 and really like it but I still end up wearing my Planet Ocean 8500 42mm more. Also have the Triple Date which is a keeper.
This omega looks great . If omega wants to seek growth, it needs to focus on Asian market , this means it has to downsize its iconic Speedmaster and sea master . Most of Asians skip both of them or would sell them because of 1 key factor - size . It’s too big to be kept for long term. In the end, all of them went back to rolex . So omega team has to decide if it wants to stay arrogant or work on downsizing
Been waiting ever since the relaunch of the Seamaster for another midsize 36mm. My guess is that they weren't commercially viable in the long run, though they've traditionally made one for decades since the Bond watch debuted. Hopefully the downsizing trend will influence Omega to do so, but if we're talking Omega in the Asian markets, the Constellation line is among the best selling for their size and styling
@@Newtypenewtype for ladies ? My guess is that no Asian guy dreams of a constellation in their collection haha. And if they want the big money they need their most iconic products to accustom to the needs of the customers
I have been eyeballing this watch and tried one on the other day. I have a 7" wrist and It fit and looked great. I just don't know if I go rubber or bracelet. Was not a fan of the bracelet because it does not taper. But I feel you always have to get the bracelet and I love wearing bracelets.
Go for it!! I highly recommend it.. especially on the bracelet, the bracelet and the helium escape valve is what makes the Seamaster a Seamaster.. buy it on the bracelet then buy the rubber later, you save more money that way then the other way around.. WELCOME TO THE CLUB!! CHEERS!! 🙌⌚️😃👍
I have the white dial. No words to desribe it. For smaller wrist dont worry wears really nice. I have a 6.5 wrist. My pelagos (same case width) wears and feels larger and heavier. This watch is the best
Bought the black face just over 2 years ago and wear it every day. Love this watch. I have a 7 1/4 in wrist and it doesn’t look big at all. The bracelet is comfortable and the quick adjust is awesome, but I don’t really like the look. I do prefer the Sub’s bracelet style. The only scratches I have are on the large buckle. I’d buy it again.
Very nice combo, looks great! I'm also loving that new Omega OEM SS mesh bracelet from the 60th Anniversary Bond, it's extremely well made and refined, I want one for my first gen 2201.50 42mm Planet Ocean, it would just work so well with the design of that watch.
Subscribed because you do great shots of the watch on the wrist showing not JUST your wrist but how it looks on person from farther back. That being said I think less intro would boost your content.
I just ordered a Staib bracelet for my smp, supposedly they are the makers of the Omega bracelet . Not saying they are exactly the same. Bracelet is solid but I hate that it doesn't taper so I usually wear on fitted fkm rubber. Also with you on the stupid small hard to deal with tiny tiny screws.
2:30 As an owner of the blue SMP300M, I must say it looks phenomenal on your wrist. It is meant to be worn on big wrists like yours. I see that you got 6 full links (plus a couple of half links) on each side of the bracelet and that certainly helps the non-tapered bracelet visually appear less clunky.
I have the same black SMP but I really do not like the bracelet so I got it on the rubber strap with deployment clasp. The bracelet is just not my style and it doesn’t taper. I wish they’d offer the Speedmaster bullet bracelet for this watch, but instead I got the Forstner version
Seamaster 300m is a seriously fine watch. Just couple of things that breaks the deal are: non-tapered bracelet with relatively inferior build quality, as well as clasp, and gap between endlink/case. I'm pretty sure Omega can fix them. Asian consumers don't look favorably on those things.
@stevepapa i agree! This hype with white dial is making me very confused and going back and forth, thinking am i making the wrong decision to purchase black one over the white. There must be a reason why it's popular over the othe, right? Then like you said, when you put two together next to each other. Black looks much better in comparison... Head to head side by side....is there something about this white dial these other people see that i dont see?😂😂😂😂😂 is it the contrast? That all? Or hmmm hahaha, decided to go with black one after your video. Helped to clear my mind haha thanks!
Wish they would bring back the 90s smaller wave dials... I know they made the 60th anniversary but that one is not widely available and at times selling for more than double its actual cost plus it has the wrong hands and bezel
The tech that goes into making the movement doesn't make it a 5400 watch , but the brand the build quality the versatility the design with the mesh bracelet does make it an excellent choice
I've been saving up for my first luxury watch as well but I can't decide between the seamaster 300 professional or seamaster 300 heritage. The black dial is the best choice for the seamaster imo, great choice!
Smart to buy a pre-owned from eBay too. I've found some great deals on watches there - my last purchase and currenty daily wear is a Seiko SPB143 that was only 6 months old in excellent shape I picked up for $600 - the original owner had paid $1200 at an AD for it.
Yeah I'm all for waiting for the best price. No need to overpay for something when you know the market value. I'd go with the professional but that's just me!
Great video Steve! Love the passion and honesty you put in your videos.. I'm a little passionate about my Seamasters also.. I own a Rolex Sub but my Seamasters get all the wrist time.. I have the NTTD titanium and the new Seaweed Green.. and I'm on the waiting list for the 60th anniversary Bond steel blue dial.. can't wait! Keep up the great content my friend.. HAPPY HOLIDAYS! 🎄🎁⌚️😃👍
Well, I bought my grail watch couple weeks ago (speedy 3861) and now I also want this 300m ahah. Beautiful. But why are you saying you dont gonna do diving with it ? Why using a Seiko if your Omega is a dive tool watch ?
Well a lot of things can happen underwater. Smash it against a rock, spring bar can fail, etc. Plus no need for a watch when dive computers track everything now.
Hello Steve! This video it’s amazing. I enjoyed a lot. I want to buy mash brasclet for my SMP 300 but I don’t know which size I need S,M, or L, can you help me? My wrist size it’s 17,5cm
I've ended up putting mesh bracelets on several of my watches. I've kind of overdosed on them. They've been so popular in the last few years. It's a classic style and I don't think they'll ever go away, but I wouldn't mind if they became a little more under the radar.
I’ve owned the SMP300 and upgraded it to the Planet Ocean because it simply fell short of the Sub, which I also own, in several respects. Bracelet is not at the Oysters level. Bezel and bezel action are worse than the Subs. And technically, the Sub is the superior watch, coaxial hype notwithstanding: more accurate (+/-2 vs 0/+5), far longer PR (55 hours power reserve vs 3-days power reserve), more reliable (5-year service interval vs 10-year service interval). The Sub also uses superior materials: platinum and rhodium-plated white gold vs enamel and rhodium-played bronze. It’s a good watch, but it’s no Sub - I’d take the Planet Ocean or Sub over the 300.
If you have the proper tools and the patience it's pretty easy. Look into buying a good set of spring bar tweezers to make the process easier than just a standard spring bar tool.
I have the titanium bind watch and I’m a small wristed fella. I must say. Wearing the mesh bracelet on the second from last hole is so uncomfortable and I kinda wouldn’t mind a smp300 style bracelet in titanium.
Hi Steve. I have just purchased the same watch but on the rubber strap as I dislike the steel bracelet so much ( I had the same previously on the steel bracelet but flipped it as I found the bracelet so hard to get a good fit) I then got the No Time To Die Omega on the titanium bracelet and loved the bracelet and fit but in the end flipped that as I could not get to love the fake patina. As I first mentioned I loved the black ceramic 300 so much I purchased it again on the rubber strapand would love to get the steel Milanese bracelet to match like yours as it looks stunning. How does one get that lovely bracelet and does it fit easily with the original pins or need new pins etc. Never added a different bracelet before so apologies if the question sounds stupid.
Not a stupid question at all! In order to get one, I'd check with your local boutique as they are sold out online. Or I'd check ebay, chrono24, or other trusted sellers. As far as pins go, I had to use different ones.
I have both watches and i must say, as much as i love the seamaster, i think the sub is a more handsome watch. There’s Something about the sharp case and the crown guards of the sub that makes it more appealing than the seamaster..
Rolex sucks, OMEGA JLC and Cartier wins in so many ways. Vacheron Constantin defeats pattek phillip and Brietling defeats Audemars Piguet. Tudor sucks also You get more with Rado captain cook.
You know what’s very satisfying? My friend has a Submariner, and I recently bought the sedna gold with black rubber strap Seamaster… When we’ve been out together, I’m the only one who’s ever received unsolicited compliments on our watches and he HATES it 😎😂
I also have the Sedna gold on rubber. Gets compliments frequently. My dad had a Rolex. People always asked if it was real lol used to irritate him terribly.
I really like the Seamaster. But for me it’s just a little fussy somehow. The HEV, waves on dial etc. Would prefer it too on an oyster bracelet. So on balance I prefer the Sub. Is more refined, simple & classic in its design imho. Bracelet is perfection also. Sorry 🤛🏻
That's an interesting point and come to think about it I've never operated the bezel with wet hands. I go back to the point that this is indeed a luxury watch and if I were to go diving, I'd use something else. But that's a good point.
@@Watch4Me I didn’t even say “using” and you quoted it. Lol. And it’s a dive watch. Why wouldn’t it work with wet hands? It’s literally marketed as a dive watch.
@@stevepapa maybe they're trying to play it neutral? You know how some ppl can be overly sensitive hahah. Might call it cultural appropriation!😂 But really it originated there.. it's historically recorded. Best regards

I love my smp300! nice video thanks
Thank you!
The screws have Loctite on them. I had to take hot water from my coffee maker and dip the bracelet into the H2O to loosen the Loctite.
Saving up! This watch is amazing. Can’t wait to own a Seamaster
Yes! It's worth every penny!
I think it's a fantastic watch! Love to own one it's on my bucket list! ⌚
You should! Thanks for watching!
Man please make a Comparison between the PRX in gold and the snkk52 gold from seiko.
I know I need to!
But doesn't it look so good!?
What’s the total weight difference going to the mesh bracelet
I'd say about 30-40g depending on how many links you remove
I love this watch, it really is beautiful, great looking 😊
I love it!
I'm a fan, omega by far the best choice.
Same here!
@@stevepapa this model was my favorite watch, then I sold it to get the seamaster black black, but I do love my black black I do miss this one.
100% agree
Did you buy certified authentic from ebay?
I did! I have an unboxing on my channel somewhere if you'd like to see!
Did you buy that mesh bracelet direct from Omega?
I did not, I bought it from ebay. Remember, buy the seller not the product!
I’ve been really wanting to get a mesh bracelet as my sea master is on a rubber strap. Is it easy enough to change straps at home?
If you have the proper tools and the patience it's pretty easy. Look into buying a good set of spring bar tweezers to make the process easier than just a standard spring bar tool.
Thank you!!🙏😁
I don’t need another black dialed watch, but if I did, I’d go for the 300. So damn beautiful
gorgeous!
Everything in between except a bracelet that doesn't completely suck.
Yes
I have the titanium bind watch and I’m a small wristed fella. I must say. Wearing the mesh bracelet on the second from last hole is so uncomfortable and I kinda wouldn’t mind a smp300 style bracelet in titanium.
Yeah the stainless steel bracelet comes in 2 sizes. They should follow suit for the titanium versions.
Looks perfect on your 7.5 wrist.
Thank you!
EBay???
Hi Steve. I have just purchased the same watch but on the rubber strap as I dislike the steel bracelet so much ( I had the same previously on the steel bracelet but flipped it as I found the bracelet so hard to get a good fit)
I then got the No Time To Die Omega on the titanium bracelet and loved the bracelet and fit but in the end flipped that as I could not get to love the fake patina.
YES IT IS!!!!!!!!!!
Yes !
👍
Omega Seamaster for me
Now we're talking!
I have both watches and i must say, as much as i love the seamaster, i think the sub is a more handsome watch. There’s Something about the sharp case and the crown guards of the sub that makes it more appealing than the seamaster..
Thanks for watching and you points of view!
Unpopular opinion:
Tapered bracelet looks elegant but also more feminine
indeed
How big is your wrist for reference?
I have a 7.5" wrist
@@stevepapa Thanks for confirming
Rolex price, stock, and desirability for non-watch folks notwithstanding, the Omega Seamaster Professional is just a better watch in every single way.
I'm going to have to agree!
Rolex sucks, OMEGA JLC and Cartier wins in so many ways. Vacheron Constantin defeats pattek phillip and Brietling defeats Audemars Piguet. Tudor sucks also You get more with Rado captain cook.
Coming out swinging!
Did you say Cubic Zirconia dial 😂
It was a verbal typo hahahaha!
A guy in etsy is selling this watch in 337 dollar, should I buy it? Any suggestion, anyone please?
Do you want to buy a fake watch?
@@stevepapa no, im new in watch world, not much knowledge here, so I asked for opinions from you guys
@@anindanath2420 yeah do your research and if it's too good to be true, it probably is!
agreed, the bracelet is chunky and well built, but to well built, on a mesh, another level
It's so good!
I like the original bracelet more than the mesh one
I think they each have their place but I definitely like the original bracelet more.
@@stevepapa don’t get me wrong I like mesh bracelets just not on this particular watch. Just my opinion of course
@@joefisher7431 haha this also must have been very satisfying
HAHAHAHAHA! The Omega has the curves!
Oh I bet he got asked that a lot! Sedna Gold Seamaster eh... I may have to look into getting one of those....
hahahaha
I really like the Seamaster. But for me it’s just a little fussy somehow. The HEV, waves on dial etc. Would prefer it too on an oyster bracelet. So on balance I prefer the Sub. Is more refined, simple & classic in its design imho. Bracelet is perfection also. Sorry 🤛🏻
Fair enough!
problem is.. walking into an AD and buying a sub.. makes it a very frustrating experience when you cant buy one if you walked in wish cash in hand..
@@ASouthernBoyCanSurvive True. But with patience and/or a little purchase history you can get one. Good things come to those who wait :-)
@@KeepingWatchUK if it's based on purchase history they aren't interested in new clients..sounds like they are too good for a country boy like me..:-)
You lost me at cubic zirconia dial. Ceramic malaka
CAN A MAN NOT REDEEM HIMSELF?!
It is chunky for my wrist. Otherwise it will be the perfect watch.
Time to gain some weight! hahahaha
One thing nobody ever talks about is how impossible it is to manipulate the bezel on the sea master under water or in wet conditions
That's an interesting point and come to think about it I've never operated the bezel with wet hands. I go back to the point that this is indeed a luxury watch and if I were to go diving, I'd use something else. But that's a good point.
That's because no one is "using" the bezel with wet hands.
@@relojeroschat Solid point there. I'll take it for a $4,000 Delta. Besides I already have three subs. 🤓
@@Watch4Me I didn’t even say “using” and you quoted it. Lol. And it’s a dive watch. Why wouldn’t it work with wet hands? It’s literally marketed as a dive watch.
@@spikethedog6901 I am headed to the sink to find out once and for all.
It's called the Milanese bracelet
Omega calls it a mesh bracelet on their website
@@stevepapa maybe they're trying to play it neutral? You know how some ppl can be overly sensitive hahah.
Might call it cultural appropriation!😂 But really it originated there.. it's historically recorded.
Best regards
@@Mega-zi7ys or probably because it's not made in Milan. Like champagne bottled anywhere other than Champagne region of France is called sparkling wine.
All scuba divers just use a dive computer
plus they don't use luxury watches when they dive!
Nobody ever asks the opposite question, if the Rolex Submariner is better than the Seamaster. Therein lies the true answer.
Now you're thinking like a watch philosopher!
I have owned both. 🤔🤔🤔. No. It is different not better. The watch is gorgeous. The standard bracelet is horrible. However, with the bracelet you have it looks beautiful.
Fair enough!
No
No, but it is as good.
