I have the Omega mesh, bought it to wear it with my Omega SMP a few months ago. I don't regret getting it because it looks so good. The weave of the mesh looks so good. With many similar cheaper options now, I still wouldn't want anything less for my Omega so I went with the OEM.
I love the original bracelet. No taper so looks “butch” with an edge of class. The tiny slivers of polished links just make it glimmer when the light catches it.
$120 is also a lot of money. It's not like putting the cheapest tires on your Ferrari. It's like putting Japanese Dunlops on a Ferrari, economical practical and lasts way longer.
I own both. If you are at all tight on money I would not recommend the Omega bracelet. The price value is simply not there. The eBay version is perfectly fine for 1/7 the price. No one would be able to tell which was which on wrist unless they looked at the logo on the clasp. But if money is no object I will admit that having the Omega logo on the clasp gives a sense of completeness.
⌚I bought the OEM as well, had a lot of play, gave it back. A different clasp in the shop had a lot less play. Now they ordered three of them and i can choose the one with the least play. Or i refuse at all. Funny note, the one from AliExpress for $20 also had no play at all. Edit: One of them had almost no play - it's the one i own now.
Was thinking about getting this myself. After Marker vs Official Mesh both are still Steel lol only difference is branding. Maybe a few minor differences
Looks good. What’s your wrist size? I’ve read they make a short and a standard length one. Do you know which one you got? How many holes are on your bracelet and which hole are you wearing it on? Thanks mate. I’m thinking of getting one for my seamaster 300 heritage
If you’ve got the money to spend on an Omega watch, might as well buy the OEM stuff to go with it. Is the clasp on the OEM one the same clasp as any other 20mm? That’s to say, if I have an OEM deployment clasp, and could source a mesh bracelet - would it work?
Omega goes completely crazy with their prices. Nothing left of that kind of "best price value watch out there". No way I will ever spend almost 1k for a bracelet.😂
$800 for a mesh bracelet? I am in my early 70s and financially am pretty well set. I have multiple Omegas in my rotation but don't have money to burn. A classic example of our US mindset of keeping up with the Jonses. Hay but whatever toots your horn.
I dont feel he was trying to keep up with anyone? Its a hobby he enjoys and obviously wanted to buy a genuine strap to with the watch. I have the same in black and no one has ever commented on it. It was a gift and not everyone buys to impress people. When I make an expensive purchase its for me and no one else. Maybe im different due to my age (38) I am also from New Zealand. However... I do feel Omega overcharge for their accessories but the way I view it is at least they give you the option whereas Rolex has nothing ! So im just happy you can style your watch differently and they finally brought out a white strap as of last week ! Im very excited, as you would say it toots my horn ! Wear your watches in good health :)
Not sure if there is a defect on mine but be careful removing your watch. My strap tends to pop out of the clasp on the side with the holes. Never had a major fail, but I'm very careful when taking off my watch nowadays
The Omega mesh bracelet is amazing. I have installed the stainless steel one on my on her majesty secret service 50th anniversary. Then I got the no time to die. And man… what a bracelet. Full titanium. The feel. The color. The weight. Simply gorgeous. I would never buy or recommend to buy a fake bracelet.
I purchased the eBay version of this bracelet after watching your video and was shocked at the quality for $120. The fit and feel is almost identical to the OEM. I've purchased other bracelets before in the past from Uncle and Forstner and those are trash, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the eBay special. If you're just looking for something fun to swap out and have an alternative once in a while, then the OEM Omega is most definitely a rip off.
Great video man. I've been contemplating getting the OEM mesh bracelet because, as much as I hate to admit it, the stock SMP300 bracelet is garbage. My clasp continuously gets stuck which is unacceptable at this price range. If I didn't irrationaly love the watch so much then I would have gotten rid of it long ago. I want to love the mesh bracelet, but I feel like there's too much of a delta when it comes to quality and what you're paying for. At these prices, there needs to be ZERO issues. With that said, it's undeniable that for psychos like myself, skys the limit when it comes to the value of OEM. Fortunately the mesh bracelet is out of stock so I couldn't make a bad financial decision right now even if I wanted to.
i bought the NTTD titanium in nov of this year. Wow - $1400 USD plus tax or 2000 CAD. Balls fell off while swiping my card but totally worth the omega logo. You just have to get robbed and diddled by Omega when doing aspects of luxury watches, but otherwise, for rubber or leather - I go cheaper brands.
I went with the aftermarket route and am hugely please with it. Paid $120 (on sale) AUD, whereas an Omega one is $1320 AUD, so 11 times as much. It really exceeded all of my expectations to be honest
The Omega one might be made in Switzerland. I am not 100% sure about this particular part, but there is a requirement that a certain percentage of all parts of a Swiss watch is made in Switzerland. The cheap one is definitely made in China.
The constant cuts in the video after very single spoken sentence is very jarring to me, and makes the whole video difficult to watch. It’s a pity, since the subject is interesting, and you seem like a nice presenter.

Staib 2792 Milanese 3.6 mm will fit the Omega SMP Diver and looks gorgeous. Staib makes bracelets for Omega.

STAIB is also awesome. Only con is no taper.
where's a link to this fabled ebay mesh? Also, do either of those taper?
I bought one today for my seamaster pro, £740 in the UK. Worth every penny
Agree. Luxury watch, luxury bracelet

I thought you would have way more subs for the quality of the content you make. Very nice video's!

You're right. You spent way too much on that bracelet.
Was thinking about getting this myself. After Marker vs Official Mesh both are still Steel lol only difference is branding. Maybe a few minor differences

I have the OEM mesh bracelet, compared to the original bracelet, it’s worth it. Lighter, and not a shiny as it’s all brushed. No complaints.
It’s the fit in these which is not always great if you have a smaller wrist
Tissot makes good mesh as well.

What’s your wrist size? I’ve heard it’s a bit uncomfortable for wrist sizes smaller than 16.5 inches
thinking about getting a mesh band for my speedmaster. Just looks so amazing
I was saying the car tire analogy right along with you!

Great comparison! Thank you

I bought an Omega nato and felt dumb until I wore it.

Great video man.

What the difference between both bracelets?
Sorry, you had a garbage one vs an omega one. Duh!

Omega deployment clasp are wiggly, it drives me crazy.
Great review, hope Omega watches this and perfect their product.
Staib make the best mesh bracelets.
They supply OEM and aren't as expensive,German quality.
Staib makes the bracelets for Omega.
got the small version for my 39.5 MM PO Tokyo edition. Fits perfectly, love it. 20 years from now I won't even remember what I paid for it.
2.12 there is spider living in your watch
or worse, a tick
@@Yoshikaable you can retire after that reply - job done ✅
If you're so attentive to detail, wouldn't you have issues with the fact that you dont have an Omega logo on the eBay bracelet.
great info

For sure you yearly income is for sure under 100K. after taxes.
Does the mesh fit on a 6 inch wrist?
If you like your watches very loose then yes. If you like it tight then no
Will the eBay one fit my 19m grand seiko ?
Yep should have went with a staib bracelet than a cheap knockoff on eBay.
Hey...you are a freak with attention to detail but you have a red ant running around in your video lol
Likely both made in the same factory.

Посмотрел, что предлагают продавцы на АлиЭкспресс. Стальной без лого за 10$)
5 mins of copium
you try to justify way too much expense .
Quality price ratio Clearly went threw the roof.
That’s not a problem but at least recognize it ! 😅
Breitling does it better. Thank you. Good bye
