RCKicks yes i saw that you got madcap in one of your previous videos. It’s a very easy buggy to work with. Tires (front) are tough to find. I always see original stickers for them online. That shouldn’t be an issue for you. But, I’ve had bad luck as of late with original stickers. The windows are already peeling and the original Astute stickers are peeling all over. Meanwhile, the original stickers that I applied to my Hotshot and King Cab have no issues. I guess it depends on what elements they were exposed to.
Nice job mate, this was my second tamiya buggy which is a shelf queen now and my runner has astute frp shock mounts and hi caps those front tires are hard to find these days great job 👍
Awesome job. From Long Island myself trying to bring a Madcap back to life if you still have any of these used parts and are looking to part with please let me know. Also the tires do you have a lead or any idea of a close fit that i can buy because the car i have now tires are all bald. Also Mudbuster do you have one or have you restored one. Thanks from a new subscriber
Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately I do not have any Madcap spares. Once I was done with this restoration, I sold off all spares as this was a shelf queen project. Front wheels are super hard to find. Fronts only came on the Astute, Madcap, St. Dragon and Bear Hawk. So I'd do a search for those names on eBay. I can't remember the exact name but I once found a set of vintage IMEX front spike tires that would fit. I don't own those tires anymore. They were on my 2nd Astute but, I sold that about a year ago. Where about on Long Island?
@@RCRetro Suffolk. Found your channel it was fun and cool. You should have more views. Big Traxxas person I am. Started thinking about my first RC Clod Buster got that one. Getting a original Blackfoot this week. And want to get the Madcap and Mud Blaster back running. I will keep watching.
@@robertlongley9153 Thanks. I have a few traxxas RC's. As a matter of fact.. probably going out this week and getting a MAXX. I dont really feature the modern stuff on the channel hence.. @@RCRetro would love to. I showed my wife the track. She thought it was so cool
I am still searching the Madcap to add to my collection
You could still run the scratch up chassis.
Brad Kalman very true...
Please no shelf Queens.
