Are you referring to blow off valve in the video? If not, locate the instructions for the blow off valve that you have and plumb it the way the instructions say to. Thanks. -Landan
I know this has nothing to do with the video but I just ordered the 87-93 mustang gt rocker moldings #LRS-10214PR, and was wondering what size/type or parts # rivets to use?
I need some help on figuring out how to change a first speed gear and the cluster gears in my 87 5.0 foxbody. would I need to change the clutch if I am rebuilding the transmission?
Gustavo Garcia As long as you don't change the spline count on the input shaft. Also, I would advise resurfacing or replacing the flywheel. You could even take this time to upgrade to a different clutch while everything is apart. -Landan
@@marioorozco3207 I think you're referring to the MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor. Did you purchase the blow off valve used? Turbosmart changed the design a few years ago, and the newer design does not require a MAP sensor adapter. -Landan
What happens if you tighten the bov all the way right and starts to flutter after throttle release? Also, I have ROSUH CAI, is that vacuum seal required to cover the intake since I didn't get JLT... What difference does it make also?
Abdul Samaro if you tighten it all the way then you are defeating the purpose of the bov. That flutter sound is air forcing its way back through the turbo intake, stalling it. This will cause turbo spool lag and wear down the turbo much faster.
unless you converted the naturally aspirated 5.0 engine to a turbocharged, force induction or air density engine, you have no need for a blow off valve if there is no vacuum or excess pressure to release. Imagine the engine is chugging a 2 liter soda rather than a gallon of non carbonated water. With the water, you're likely not going to be hit with that built up pressure like the soda would. Now with a stomach full of fizzy carbon dioxide, if you don't burp, you'll feel like a balloon. Same with a force induction engine. The blow off valve allows the engine to burp, or release the built up boost that doesn't get used. Air is purposely forced into the engine through turbines that is spun by the passing exhaust gas. Some of that hot exhaust gas is reused but that air needs to pass through the intercooler to get the air temp as cool as possible when sucked back into the air/fuel mixure. You see more force inducted, for maximum efficiency in smaller displacement engines. Great for fuel economy without sacrificing power. The Ford GT rocks a F-150 3.6 (3.7) liter twin turbocharged 6 cyclinder engine. I recommend looking into supercharging your V-8.
That is the hose cap for the intake pipe. This is not included with this kit, it was a part of the JLT cold air as mentioned in the video. If you are using an OEM intake or another aftermarket brand, you will need to source a 7/8" cap from a local hardware store. -Jay
I do not have the resistor that you use at 2:44. Is that piece necessary to run the bov safely on the car?
Do we need the hosing to map sensor, can we leave it?
Is it me or this Ecoboost sounds meaner than the usual ecoboost? what muffler, resonator delete or what did you do to make it sound like this?
does this product void factory warranty?
It most definitely will
Please do a flowmaster outlaw catback video, I know video won't do it justice but I really want to hear it!
where do I buy one for a 2016 manual ecoboost mustang? it sounds awesome! and is there anywhere I can bring it for installation?
do you have to remove the recirc hose?
I would mine has compressor surge but I do have a lot of mods on my car
Why does mine compressor surge at low rpm?!!!! No matter what I do it just surges
I would contact a trustworthy local dealer or repair shop in your area to have the issue diagnosed. Thanks. -Landan
What if my blow off valve has 2 fitting holes, one under the goles were the preassure make the noise and one up?

Can it fit on a 2016 ford mustang
can you use the turbosmart focus st blow off valve in the 2016 ecoboost mustang?do u just need the vacum block?
same question, I just want to install the part and don’t do the hosing to map sensor, focus st blow off valve would fit?
Where did you get your 7/8 vacuum cap can't find one that size
Hardware store
Check Parker Performance they were selling one not too long ago

Mine is connected to the evap valve and not to the sensor is that normal ???
This should not be hooked to anything EVAP related. Reinstall per the video or the most recent instructions from Turbosmart. -Landan

Is this a good bov to replace with the stock one? I don't plan on running more boost. Just straight from the Factory.
I’d get the electronic one straight plug and play
So i just got a jlt CAI and left my stock bov vented and sounds just like this, will this sound louder than the stock vented bov?
Yes it will
Hi.I am from Moscow I have avtomobil Mustang EcoBoost (2017 ,2.3)why is it necessary?thank you!!

Is tune required after installation
No, a tune is not required after installation.

I know it may be kind of late but you might have the spring set too softly and will need to tighten it up. Hope the ecoboost is doing well!
