I'm really enjoying watching your raptor build series. I recently picked up a '23 raptor as well and you've installed a few things that I am interested in buying so these videos will be a great reference resource when the time comes. Keep up the great videos!

Thank you for watching! We love the Raptor platform and wouldn't install anything on ours that we wouldn't recommend to you. There will be more build content coming soon too, we appreciate the kind words!

For anyone watching one quick note ……..Always remember to tape the inlets closed when removing the ic. One small anything down there the turbos get nuked

    You should consider spd downpipes

If you’re gonna turbo you better vent to ATM! Great choice

What is the difference in sound between them. What are pros and cons between them?

The Turbosmart BOV releases extra boost pressure to the atmosphere, making that 'sneeze' or whooshing sound when letting off the gas. We prefer this part over Ford's OEM Valve which is significantly made of plastic and diverts the pressure back into the truck's system. The Turbosmart unit can handle a lot more boost pressure and abuse thanks to its build quality, and it sounds cool!

We haven't heard any horror stories about this yet, FRF has a thread on it and folks seem fine - but we'll see! www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/vent-to-atmosphere-stock-bov.64237/

That looks like a really bad idea for wet, salty, or sandy areas. I can see the piston getting gummed up really easily.

Folks use and abuse these valves in rough conditions all the time, they hold up great! We'll be sure to post an update if we run into any issues

Just remove the hose off of the stock BOV if you like the sound. This does nothing for performance.

PSA: Don't do what @dennisgoedhartrealestategr9444 is suggesting 🤦‍♂️

ok remove the hose and plug the intake side for a few bucks. :) The Ford BOV is fine and the SVC intercooler relocates it to keep it safe. Why would I want this when I can put the money somewhere that matters.? Maybe I am missing something. I have been doing this since my Turbo Eclipse in the 90s. No HP gains, just sound. @@BuiltRightInd

@@dgrebroker I abandoned that sort of logic when decided to daily drive a Raptor instead of a prius but I'm just here to share my experience - I don't care at all what you decide to buy or not buy as long as it works for you, especially when it's something we don't even sell!
How much boost were you running in that DSM that the factory BPV never caused problems?
