    Awesome comparison video! We had some quick points we wanted to bring up!
    Our Dual Port and Plumb Back valves are the only complete diverter valve replacement on the market. They are plug and play and require no tune to work on your Bronco, Bronco Sport (2.0L only), or Bronco Raptor! Not only can the support higher boost and hp, we have found that the machined snout of our valve seals better than the factory valve. This can result in a quicker spool up in the low to mid-med of the RPM range!

  • @KushestWRX

    The factory one is actually a bypass valve. Same thing but a blow off valve vents to atmosphere while the bypass valve recirculates back to the intake after the maf.

  • @KushestWRX
    @KushestWRX 11 дней назад

    The turbosmart is better to use because it's a 50/50 valve and still puts have the air back in so you don't run as lean. Running a bov on a maf vehicle is not always the best idea unless you get a tune.
    I have the full recirculating turbosmart valve on my subaru. With an aftermarket intake you can still hear it pretty loud without dumping the air and running lean.
    Cool video though

    You can just pull the hose off the stock BOV and cap the intake port. It's free. Well, maybe $1 for the cap if you don't have one.

    The factory unit is not a blow off valve...since it doesn't vent to atmosphere which makes the whooshing sound...it's a bypass valve
    ..sometime called a Recirc valve..it recirculates the charged air from the turbo back into the intake manifold

    Forgive my ignorance, but what is the purpose of the blow-off valve? Is it just to sound cool, or is there a performance or reliability reason why we'd wan tto install them on our Broncos?

    • @BuckleUpButtercupTV
      @BuckleUpButtercupTV  Год назад +1

      I mean…. To sound cool lol but the Turbosmart does have other advantages over stock.

    • @Tetz95
      @Tetz95 2 месяца назад +2

      I know I’m coming in here WAY late, but a blow off valve can increase performance.
      When you’re on the throttle, turbo is making boost (pressurizing the intake air) and when you suddenly let off the throttle the engine stops using that large volume of air and it has nowhere to go causing the system to pressurize even more and slowing down the RPM of the turbo because it’s not being driven as hard by the exhaust gasses from an engine that’s going back to idle. When you get back on the throttle, the turbo needs to spool up again.
      A blow off valve will vent that excess pressure and help to keep the turbo spinning faster so it doesn’t have to spool up as much.
      Blow off valves are less important these days with automatic transmissions, but helped a lot between shifts on a manual.

    • @juanmanuelvivas6299
      @juanmanuelvivas6299 22 дня назад +1

      @@Tetz95 That is true, but if you blow off to atmosphere the MAF will still see that air volume in the system and the engine will run richer than it should (because it will have less air on it), that might lead on performance issues
