  • Galway city in the west of Ireland is close to Ireland's largest Gaeltacht region, where Irish is the first language of a significant part of the population. Dr Clíodhna Ní Mhurchú describes the benefits of being an Irish-speaking GP for her patients, as she finishes her training in a Galway city centre practice.
