Rudy jumping in all Indiana Jones style while Matt's backing out 😂
He wasn't about to miss the first drive.
Impressive hops
@@seymourhoffman4445 He's earned it! I'd have done the same lol
Brought a tear to my eye.
You are getting to the finish line... one Bolt or screw.. than a time.. 👍👍👍
"One Man stands alone with his machine!" Congratulations Matt and the team for producing an awesome Chevy Corvair station wagon Recovery vehicle!
Trevor is one of those guys everyone wants on their team.. self sufficient, goes the extra mile, and gets the job done
15:03 Rudy's got cat like reflexes. So cool seeing this thing come together.
Nice seeing you here lol
Glad to see the legally required tradition of doing a burn out when a project is completed was followed
No other way you can do it. Trying to figure out the best way to do a fwd burn out on my escort that's almost finished, probably going to use a excavator or a steep hill
@@_Boobz e brake and drop the clutch hahah, will be fun :)
Did they blow up the locker on that burn out?
Tradition?
It's protocol, people!
@@yjforlife I don't know if the locker was ever working or what. It definitely did the one wheel peel but I'm not sure if the locker was broken or what
Matt, Rudy’s face jumping in with his dad. Priceless

I hope Trevor is paid well. I would expect to pay dearly for the work he has done on the Corvair.
Full points to Trevor for sorting out that mess of wires! Sounds great! 🇦🇺🍺🍺
Trevor is amazing. Quiet, talented, and thorough it would appear. “Does every wire go somewhere?” “Yep!”
Yeah IMO the pain in a butt job, wiring.
All successful teams need a Trevor. Without them, the team cannot function. Can't wait to see the first Vairecovery!
I definitely feel like Trevor is the underrated guy in all of this! I think he has put in the most time outta everyone
Trevor is the Floki of wiring
Trevor is the man...humble guy. If it wasn't for him that project wouldn't have been completed...good job Trevor...
Trevor skipping lunch is smart. An hour of no distractions and someone in your way
True that! At my previous job I always got more work done when my boss was out of town.
Rudys face when matt was singing, 100% priceless, such an awesome team
Rudy jumping in for the maiden voyage with Matt behind the wheel really put a smile on my face. Congrats guys!
If you turn on closed captions it says "Music" when ever the engines are running.
There was a Chevelle down my street that I loved the sound when it went past my house. It would idle past and still rattle the windows.
Happens when they cuss as well!
It's music to my ears!!

Bleeding the brakes took me right back to the 70's with dad getting me to pump the brakes of his 74 Rover P6 3500 V8. Lovely happy carefree days as a kid in Shropshire. Love this truck Matt.
Even before the achievement of the Corvair project, what I like to see is the accomplishment of raising a kid like Rudy.
Is Rudi and the blonde girl his kids?

this is so underrated...
i feel for the first hard core off roader that has to tell his buddies he got stuck and was pulled out by a Corvair . lovin' the build
So many people don't know what a corvair is though. I thunk he should have used a modern cross over/suv body. He could have had more safety, more comfort and amenities. People could have said "I got rescues by a Hyundai" or a Ford flex or Subaru etc.
@@geepuller1 Old school is better. Corvairs were so far ahead of their time and GM was brave to come out with them. Unfortunately, haters exist and bad mouthed them to death. I owned one and it was fun to drive. My Mother also owned one and she loved it too.
@@geepuller1 The Ford Flex is actually a great comparison to what the Corvair is.
@@geepuller1 i think that would defeat the purpose of the build. If he was going for purely practical, he'd just build another jeep or pickup.
@@eyesalooking in 1973 my first car was a 1962 Corvair. After my dad and I got it running and fixed up and was so nice somebody stole it while I was high school and wrecked it !
My uncle gave me a 63 Corvair body and I took the engine out of the 62.
That burnout caused me to smile the biggest smile I’ve had in a year. Great job.
Having your dad around, working hard and building cool builds looks fun.
I can’t wait to hear that LS scream when your pulling someone out the dunes!!!
Wow. Huge grin on my face throughout this vid. I don’t know if I’ve ever felt this much satisfaction for someone else to get one step closer to their project being finished. I’m straight up invested.

The only thing better than the lunch scene is Ed saying, "What's that noise?" Great video, y'all!
The burnout with a new project is like breaking the bottle on a new ship. its good luck!
Some lucky person out there will be recovery #1! I’ve never wished so bad to be stuck in my life! 🤣
your wish may come true 🤣
...One man stands alone with his machine"!! This is so exciting! It's so close, you can hardly sleep! 😎
Put a smile on my face to see that thing move and listen to the music coming out of it. Great job to all of you!
I love how much fun y’all are having with that thing, all I can think about is the reactions of unsuspecting people who get stuck and google someone to tow them out, and this wild thing pulls up looking like it’s from a different universe to yoink them out of the sand.
Ahh the old "OK, pump it and hold it" routine.. How many times did my dad tell 5 year old me that??? Good times.. And that exhaust note.. Damn near perfect...
Especially when you have no idea what you are doing and what they are doing. Just pump and hold and wonder if you are doing it right.
This Episode made me cry. I have tear waters watching that baby burn out and drive. Felt a slight pause in my heart. It was like bum bum.... Don't worry, I'm still a live. That car makes a brother start writing poetry. Go all the way ! Keep getting them out
I love how Matt always gives credit and thanks to his crew.
And just like that, Matt makes Corvairs cool again. 👍
Corvairs have always been cool! 😎
Matt’s Off-road Recovery needs to volunteer as a recovery team at next year’s King of the Hammers. We need to see this pulling ultra4 cars out of the rocks.
Awsome! Can't wait to see the corvair climb some rocks.
Never has a corvair looked so good or had so many people wanting to see it put together. Usually people just like seeing them crushed by monster trucks. Good looking wagon can’t wait to see it completed .
Love how Rudy dives into the Corvair and when Matt looks over he's not even surprised.
Why should he?
Will you add a check engine light so we can see you in it's soft glow when you are in your natural habitat? 😉
That's funny and made my day a little brighter LOL. Stay safe.
@@MattsOffRoadRecovery It's not a terrible idea. Knowing when the engine is unhappy is a good thing. Speaking of which, I'm curious to know what you are doing for gauges. Fancy lcd panel display? or individual gauges? I'm in the gauges boat my self. I spent alot of effort to get ALL of my Jeep YJ gauges to work with my LS swap.
Any good work vehicle has to have a check engine light on
@@MattsOffRoadRecovery. Do not forget to have a dollar sign brightly shining in the middle of a switchable dash light masquerading as a check engine light.

"Duty Rudy the welding Machine"! Watching and loving all your videos. All the creativity and workpersonship is awesome. Thank You!
I'm Sooo Impressed. A rotten old Corvair Chassis and a 2005 Silverado engine, Other "Mix & Match" Bits and bobs, Unbelievable that you can make it run AND LOOK so Good. Kudos!!
In the UK we have a saying "Grinning like a Cheshire cat" look at Matts big grin it says it all, well done all especially Rudy his welding and fabrication work is second to none, cant wait to see the finished truck it will look awesome
In the Southeastern US we say "Grinning like a cat eating s*t out of a hairbrush" which I believe is the origin of "s*t eating grin"
"Grinning like a bird fed cat" in SE TX
In Tennessee we say grinning like a mule eating briars!
Aliiiceee?
Happier than a fat kid in a cake factory.
I can’t wait until that corvair is yankin things that are “temporarily” stuck! 😎🙌🏻
That's what I'm worried about. That rear end doesn't look strong enough to withstand the heavy jerking.
Somethings gonna give.....
yanking fucking chassis apart you mean lmao
@@labourlawact7826 It's built stronger than the Cherokee.
@@praetoriangamingandreviews9537 okay that's good. I didn't see a chassis or sub frame.
@@labourlawact7826 corvairs already have overbuilt unibodies, but all the stuff the cut out they put back in with quite a bit thicker sheet than comes stock, and they reinforced the front and rear with tube.
Man, all of my favorite channels have really done a great job of spoiling me with amazing content on or near my birthday! This was one of the most satisfying video's I've seen. As following along from the start, has me mentaly invested big time! I Love it guys, and I am genuinely excited for the next video update on the build. As well as seeing what this beast can do in the rocks and sand, in battles against the Banana!
Please make sure to show us every feature and unique idea you put into this thing. (Like the rear passenger Ventilation, everything!) In like a "completed build overview" type of video.
Keep it up guys, you all look so happy to be doing exactly what your doing, and with people who are like one big family!
Rudy... Matt's secret MACHINE! Great job MORR. Can't wait to see the wagon beast in the sand!
Anyone else remember when Matt had under 100k subscribers a year ago? Love the content Matt and the growing channel. It’s the best!
Matt was very brave doing a burnout with brakes he hadn’t fully tested pointing his project at a cinder brick wall.
Not the word I would have chosen!
If the brakes didn't work, he wouldn't have been able to do it... I think that was testing enough, right??? :)
Full send , eff it. Lol
My guess is that he was sure that the brakes worked before doing the burnout, not every thing is shown on these videos.
I literally cried a tear of happiness during the Burnout, what a great conquest.
From the Netherlands with big respect, I salute you all. Big machine,...nop,...hell of a machine. Fantastic work.
Trevor seems like pretty smart guy, I feel like we dont see him often on the channel.
