That really motivates me to continue. Thank you so much for subbing and adding that you found the video at 36 views!! I enjoy hearing that kind of info. I hope i don't disappoint!
So what I noticed for me is my desire to play AAA or at least modernized bigger games has gone down a lot. With the knowledge of how games work and some design choices it makes you have a more critical eye for how dumb or how smart something is. Seeing franchises I used to love becoming worse and worse or just let downs in general burned a lot. Bigger games get bogged down with bad performance, bad design choices in general for padding, and possibly monetization because "games as a service." Taking from that tho, Indie games on the opposite end evokes more inspiration and desire to play them and create something of the same caliber. Most arn't overly long and just feel like an experience, like older games used to feel like. Playing for more analytical becomes inevitable. No matter what you do, once you start looking into the box and seeing how things tick it can break the illusion or just make you analyze and notice things different no matter the medium. Game Development, Music creation, Electronics ect. It's not bad but you should have a reminder to try to sit back and just enjoy try things from time to time. (not you specifically us all in general.)
I agree whole heartedly about AAA games. They have no soul. Each one that I've bought and played with a few exceptions really made me question why I bought them after spending about 4 hours trying to get into the game but everything was so generic it was hard to get lost. The last few games i bought and truly enjoyed were Lies of P, Nine Sols, and Katana Zero. It seems I do have that problem though lol, which is, being unable to turn off the analysis in my head that begins once I do sit down to watch my son or play myself. I hate it and love it. As they say, "ignorance is bliss" and once you do know and start looking behind the curtain it does lose some magic but I'm into Game Development myself 1 year, so it hasnt hit any extremes. Thank you so much for your comment!
@GameHeroStudio3 I reccomend Psedoregalia and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk for more...chill like games you can just enjoy. Maybe its because they're just movement platformers and the music but hopefully their atmosphere might turn that off for you, at least on occasion. I really do have to start lies of p some time but if i do now i know ill get sucked it. Not so much a game dev but have looked into it and coding, my strong suite seems to be modeling tho.
Hi ❤ I don't have this yet. Because I am working on a visual novel type of game - I started to play more of those and the experience is still as immersive for me as it was before. And what I do now I initiate playing those kinds of games with my partner because I want his critical eye to tell me his opinion and explain it 😂😂
@@Thegamefinder5 I've been trying my hand at all of it but I haven't gotten to 3d modeling in blender yet. Its funny how much as a gamer I took for granted but all the things I loved in video games are much more time consuming to make than I expected haha. Ive found That pseudoregalia looks like ocarina of time graphics which i find very cool! The player movement looks amazing.
@@GameHeroStudio3 yeah getting into deving opens your eyes to how much time and how complicated things can be. It makes it easier for us to give devs leniency since we know a bit more than people that just game. Funnily enough that game runs in unreal 5.1 i believe so its opened my eyes that you can do low poly in the engine
I like this video, but I think having the ‘subscribe’ and ‘like’ animation pop up is distracting and only really detracts from the video. Nice work though!
