This was super informative. I’m considering a career change to nursing and it’s so neat to see what you do from day to day and to hear that you love it. Thanks so much for sharing!
Penny, I loved watching this video as I am preparing to switch from 8 to 12 he shifts. You were so real and honest! I loved watching every bit of it. I think it was really nice how you explain the importance of being humble and empathizing with our patients. I just don’t like the fact of being used as a punching bag by our patients when they are irritated or frustrated with their health or care. It is important to draw a line and be respected. Looking forward to watch your videos!
I used to watch you all the time when I was in nursing school, and here I am - almost a year as an RN and finding you again! Thank you for the video. :)
I absolutely love this video!!! Please post more videos related to nursing! Although i've failed nursing school, i'm not giving up & going back this fall & Seeing updated videos of what it's like in nursing in a day in a life really pushes me to get that RN license! :)
I love these nursing videos even if im not really in the health care field. It is just so interesting to see what other people do and especially when they are passionate about it, it is inspiring. I love your videos!
It warms my heart to see someone genuinely love their nursing job so much. Nurses have been there for me thru the roughest of times and I will never forget it. Thank you for what you do!!

I'm planning on going to nursing school so I am doing a ton of research and your videos have been super helpful! Thank you for all you do and happy Nurse Appreciation Week! :)
OMG I remember you saying that you wanted to go to school to become a nurse and years later I found your page and you are a nurse. i’m super excited and happy for you!
I love this, my step mom is the same way about her nursing job. On the one hand she hated waking up and going back to work after 2 or 3 days off but on the other hand she loves it when she's there.
I love insights into anything and everything. This content is my jam. Also, You're super entertaining to listen to so anything you say I'm instantly hooked anyway 😂
I am so proud of you, I have been watching you for the last few years and I always knew you were set apart. I watch so many young people who are blessed to use RUclips as a primary source of income but you are one of the few that took advantage of that and worked on your education! God is with you and you will not fail. Congrats honey! ❤️
holy shit that was a blast from the past. I was studying undergrad to apply for medical school and I had worked at a banner hospital for 3-4 years. I ultimately left pursuing medicine because I simply enjoyed mathematics and science too much and began engineering. Even though medicine wasn't for me, I don't regret my time because I hands down have met some of the kindest most intelligent people I've ever had the pleasure of being around. I genuinely felt like the staff on my floor was almost something like family, it's a difficult career but simultaneously the work leaves you with a feeling of purpose and the work you do is literally life changing for some people. seeing the glucometer though really brought back memories lol, as well as the vocera. The hand washing sensor technology definitely seems new though , I haven't seen those before but that's a wonderful idea
I'm a Registered Nurse and have worked everywhere all over Oz - I now work primarily in mental health. I did a few 17 or more hour shifts in emergency, and it just about killed me. I was in my 40s though, so nursing does get harder as you get older. However, even with swollen, aching legs and feet at the end of a very long day, it is worth it. Just to hear that Thank you Nurse, or for someone to tell you that you helped them is so very rewarding. There is nothing to compare to being a nurse - we are so needed and valued in the world, especially with the pandemic still going on. Congrats to you all! Cheers from Down Under :)
Generational trauma, niña such great awareness 😅😅 I read this recently 'you kept yourself busy because it was too painful to be present' 👀❤️ loved this video xx

Oh my godddddd why do I love you so much?! Thank you. I am about to apply to nursing schools and was getting so anxious after reading so many horror stories... fights with doctors, doctors almost killing patients, not having time to go to the bathroom.... AAAHHHH. This might sound dumb but I was also so afraid of having to eat junk food on my shifts, and then I saw you whip out your tuperware - yessssss! Not to mention, I know that amazing feeling of helping people and that's what I love, and I hear it in your voice. Very thankful for your video. Thank you so much.
This video was super helpful and insightful of what nursing is like from your point of view. Currently in college figuring out if I want to pursue nursing. Thank you for making this Penny 💗

OMG you just said what I always thought about why I love to be as busy bee! I was "forced" to study law and when I entered the working world it made me very ill since you sit at the desk all day (working out in the evenings was not enough or not fulfilling). I have been thinking about becoming a nurse for a while now. Your video inspires me again💗

I am currently in the process of doing my pre-reqs for nursing school. I work at a hospital as a patient care tech (CNA)--seeing how you had multiple WORKING glucose monitors made me seriously envy your unit.
Nurses have saved my life a few times. I have great appreciation for that. Having said that, and I know many, many nurses can youtube and keep up with their patients, I had a youtubing nurse. I had MAJOR surgery, she was 2 hours late with pain meds, because she was busy filming content. I was not impressed with that.
I just began considering to become a nurse and I've seen your videos here and there since YEARS ago and to see you are a nurse is so amazing ❤️❤️ stay safe 😊
I like your spirit and attitude. I'm a retired nurse, midwife and health visitor with a psychology degree all in the UK. I did not like working on the medical ward. So I left to do midwifery which I enjoyed very much. Then did health visiting, worked for 29 years in that field. I don't know if there's HV in America. It's working in the community after doing a one year diploma at university then college in my time. Caring for new mothers and baby, and children, including children with disabilities. Running GP baby clinics, doing developmental assessments of children at key ages, giving health advice etc. I loved that job that's why I stayed in it for so many years. Stay blessed. Zimbabwe.

The example pictures for the codes got me 🤣 love these types of videos! I'm in the process of becoming an Occupational Therapist, myself. Love seeing fellow healthcare workers in their element. Happy nurse appreciation week😊
Hi! I love these videos too and am interested in OT! If you don't mind to answer, why did you decide to pursue Occupational Therapy? Did you get any inspiration from other content creators in healthcare? 💛
I'm in school to be an OTA and graduate this winter! Good luck on your journey
5:43am. You've got that getting ready regimen down to a fine art, girl! And you love your job. That's worth sooo much, and makes you a hotshot nurse. The tour/info you gave us was really interesting. 👏
I LOVE this day in the life because we get to actually see what you do, rather than just a morning routine and night time debrief lol. I also enjoy how educational this video was. Subbed xoxo
Signing up to nursing school soon because of you ! First generation:)
You can do it!!! My number one tip is to find a really good study group, they saved my butt
@@PennyTovar your friendship and WhatsApp plz 🌹🥀🌻 one chance to get it me plz 🌹🥀 I'm excited for join you plz 🌹🥀
@@PennyTovar yep, study group will save you stress and give you good connection with people. Something that we often lack because we're too busy studying or in clinicals.
Good luck to you Diana, its isn't easy but know that you'll get through it and will succeed. ❤😊
Me too
Your attitude is everything, so much negative content around nursing, this makes me feel less nervous about heading that route. I feel it’ll be a good fit
I love when you do nursing videos!! I’m actually in school to become a nurse & I’ve actually found some of your videos helpful :) keep it up
This was super informative.
I’m a nursing student and you really don’t make being a nurse as horrible as it seems love it 😽❤️
literally graduating from nursing school tomorrow!! I loved seeing this, so excited to start working!!
Awwww congratulations!
thank you!!
I recently had Quad Bypass surgery. All the nurses are angels on earth!!!! Love you
I used to watch you all the time when I was in nursing school, and here I am - almost a year as an RN and finding you again!
You are the best person I have ever watched on RUclips hands down. You are informative, you work a real job and are so funny!
Thank you for watching!:)
I’m an RN now and the hand hygiene monitor is the coolest thing ever! I’m going to see if my hospital can get it.
I am so proud of you, I have been watching you for the last few years and I always knew you were set apart. I watch so many young people who are blessed to use RUclips as a primary source of income but you are one of the few that took advantage of that and worked on your education! God is with you and you will not fail. Congrats honey! ❤️
Thank you 🥺
holy shit that was a blast from the past.
I admire nurses so much. God bless you all!
Thank you for this video. I'm currently in school to become a nurse and this video was informative yet entertaining
been here since the curlypenny days, you've grown so much :') love that for you
Generational trauma, niña such great awareness 😅😅 I read this recently 'you kept yourself busy because it was too painful to be present' 👀❤️ loved this video xx
Thank you for all you do, not only as a nurse but uploading the videos to youtube too!!
This video was quite useful and informative! Nurses have one of the most difficult jobs in the world. Thank you for your enthusiasm and commitment, Penny!🙌
i learned a lot by just watching this vlog… making nursing exciting for me when i graduate. this is my first time watching your vlogs and i love it very informative
We appreciate you nurses!! 💓 we need to see more of nurse Penny! 💓
I loved watching this little snippet of your life as a nurse. Nurses are amazing 💜💜
It's great to see what you do and how much you enjoy it.
watching this as a first sem going to the hospital in 2 weeks AAAAA im so scared and excited now knowing we might actually have one patient right away. finally gotta do my skills irl makes me emotional and incredibly happy.
That crooked finger peace ✌🏼 sign was everything! Juice came flying out my nose
Respect to all the nurses out there 💖
Omg I love you dude you're such a light I'm so glad I found your channel. I look forward to going to nursing school one day so thank you for being a positive influence:)
The part where you rubbed your face I felt that so hard
OMG you just said what I always thought about why I love to be as busy bee! I was "forced" to study law and when I entered the working world it made me very ill since you sit at the desk all day (working out in the evenings was not enough or not fulfilling). I have been thinking about becoming a nurse for a while now. Your video inspires me again💗
I must say…I love the new and improved you!! I have missed a lot of your videos since young penny…but girl!! You have grown into a beautiful, smart woman!! 🥰
Thanks for showing us this glimpse into the nurse life!! You and all the other nurses out there are the real MVPs!
Thank you for all you do!! You are greatly appreciated! Happy Nurses week! ☺️
I'm a Nurse and I absolutely enjoyed watching this video. The fact that it's educative and informative, yet a vlog is 💯
I am currently in the process of doing my pre-reqs for nursing school.
You taught me the curly girl method years ago! I just saw your new channel and you're all grown up.
Nurses do not get enough appreciation. THANK YOU 💚
You are such an awesome human being 🫶🙌🏽 crazy how you do both (content creator and a nurse) ❤️ God bless you!
I give you so much respect and thank you for giving me a glimpse into your day. I am a nursing student, so I really like to see the real deal.
Zimbabwe.
Hi Penny ! . I just wanted to thank you for this wonderful video . I'm an aspiring nurse and it's honestly such an amazing feeling when I see the videos like these because my family is a slightly not so happy with my decision , they would much rather me become a doctor . Your nursing videos give me hope that one day I'll also get to make a difference in someone's life . ❣️❣️❣️
As a 32 year old women I will be applying for my citizenship this year and next year when my baby girl is a little older I will signing up for nursing school. I’m so excited for this path that I’ve always wanted to be part off since high school. Your such an inspiration
I loved how I watched your 12 hour-shift as a nurse and at the same time, learned so many things :)
You are so pretty and your haircut is beautiful! Thanks for showing what a day of nursing looks like. I’m currently in nursing school and can’t wait to get to where you are! Thanks for sharing!😊
I worked as a health unit coordinator for 6.5 years and have several good friends who are nurses. Y’all have my utmost respect because I KNOW how hard you work from working with you and as a patient. Thanks for all you do. 😊
I’m about to start my nursing school classes and frankly I am TERRIFIED but when I see your videos I feel a little more confident🤍 Thank you for trying to explain certain things!🤍
2:07 That’s a ThyssenKrupp Elevator with a Grocery Store Beep Floor Passing Chime. I love that.
You are a cutie patootie, nurse sister!! I’ve left the hospital after 40 yrs and am now doing pediatric home health. I’m so happy to see you fine young people coming onboard

Oh my gosh you're BEAUTIFUL! Plus you have a great personality. I bet you do very well with people in general not just patients.
I love how happy your job makes you, I know you were really stressed out for a while so I’m happy to hear that it was worth it♥️ Also you skin looks amazing, can we get a update on your skin journey. Was the acne stress related?
Thank you for all that you do❤️🙏🏽
