I worked at Toys R Us holiday season 1998 and 1999 and we had a shockingly high amount of those Frogger games on hand. They ordered or made way too many. They also had way too many game gear games in late 90s but some of them were incredible titles like Shining Force that I picked up for 5 bucks.
Late 91 was where there were like 50ish must play games and you absolutely had to get a Genesis, but the 1990 owners certainly had a lot of great options if they made informed choices.
@otggaming3180 nice time machine you have built here... bring it back to the arcade in the next video pls and add some coins drop sounds to remind me of how much money i wasted (not to mention time and school). cheers my friend 🍺

It's great to hear firsthand stories like this from persons like yourself that were part of the gaming experience back in the day. Thanks for sharing!

You're spot on! By 92 I couldn't take it anymore and had to save up for a Genesis. So many great games!
These nostalgia trips are great!
Appreciate it! I really enjoy making these vids - it's an enjoyable trip back in time.
1992 - 1994 best Genesis years... got my genesis on late 1993 and i remember well that time as a kid. My first console!
Yeah, It was a sad day to hear the day that SEGA dropped out of the race and it really hit some of us hard.

It's been said many times and many ways but it never gets old :)
