You guys being twinsies is adorable.
🥰🥰
You guys have matching outfits 😂
Copa america GOATS you guys kill me with these fucking analogies… another great video guys.
We trying brotha appreciate that 💪
@@TheDeadBallTVUruguayan is the best defence since their whole game is depended on parking the bus
Daily uploads, sheeeeesh respect the grind boys. Keep em coming !
We ain’t never stopping
Really appreciate the grind you guys have been putting on lately for the channel. Sup from Vegas fellas!
Thank you for that. We are more than happy to make these vids for y’all for all the support you show us 💪
No problem with USMNT ranking, because of RB, but the back line is not the reason we give up goals against better teams. Against the Netherlands and Germany (for example) we got thrashed in transition because of our naive offensive approach.
Back line is fine, especially if we go 3 CBs and or if we would set up a little lower and more compact against better teams. I doubt GGG deviates from his “system”. Basically, USMNT is 7 because of team defensive approach, not our backline
Fair. We tried to factor in play style as much as possible. Obviously there isn’t an equation we can use. Cause your right, the personnel is good. The goals conceded are largely tactical, but we still have to dock points for that
That's some good fucking content
Ecuador need a striker so bad 😢
This one is going to be a banger for sure 🔥
the stats of Balerdi in ligue 1 are crazy he is literally the center-back with the best stats
Romero top 5 CB in the World is close, feels like there not many Worldclass CB at the moment .Saliba, Tah, Bastoni, Hummels are in front of him this year but for the 5th Spot its a close run.
nah, he's top 10 this season...
might actually be the funniest guys I've listened to in a while
I have to agree with Connor's list, except that I would switch Uruguay with Venezuela, as Uru has world class defenders and Vene doesn't. As for Colombia, is worth noting that after leaving Everton, Yerry Mina has revived his career at Cagliari, even getting the Captain's armband from his coach. Good discussion guys 👍👍
Dig the break down boys 👍🏽 vamos Ecuador!!!
Juan Foyth is underrated by Scaloni and many.Foyth pocketed Vinicius Jr many times and also pocketed Diaz.Foyth and Mollina should be RB. Foyth is injured for more than 6 month shoulder injury
MY TOP 10 DEFENSES IN COPA AMERICA
1. Argentina
2. Colombia
3. Ecuador
4. Venezuela
5. Uruguay
6. Paraguay
7. Brazil
8. Jamaica
9. Mexico
10. USA
I completely agree with the top 5 rankings. I'm going to rearrange 6-10 and my reasoning may be a bit controversial. Jamaica has the best defense in CONCACAF, in my opinion. I may be biased as a Jamaican-American and having grown up there part of my life. However, I think my ReggaeBoyz are just a better cohesive unit than Mexico and the USA. Athleticism, physicality, improving technical ability makes us ready for the tournament so I have them above Mexico and the USA.
Without Dest (ACL tear), USA immediately falls to #10 for me because he's the key. Other nations at the Copa are going to expose the USA's right side with Scally or Shaq Moore (god forbid) on the right. Berhalter would be better off starting Tim Weah at RB because Juventus certainly used him there. Brazil needs to put in better defensive perfomances for me to rate them higher, so I put Paraguay above them and dropped them one. Great video as always gentleman.
Horrible take but I respect it
@XxAlex530xX I admit my list may be a little unrealistic, but I stand by it. USA's 🇺🇲 defense isn't the same without Sergino Dest. Mexico 🇲🇽 and Jamaica 🇯🇲 have a better defense at the current moment. The USA 🇺🇲 is definitely better than these two talent wise.
Brazil 🇧🇷 is clearly better than Paraguay 🇵🇾 that much isn't up for debate. However, Brazil 🇧🇷 has a worse goal concession rate than Peru 🇵🇪 recently (or their tied 🤔). Going into the Copa America has Paraguay 🇵🇾 looking more solid defensively than Brazil 🇧🇷, which is blasphemous to say.
USA 10th?!
@TheDeadBallTV It's a hot take I know and will likely be proven incorrect. However, the USA 🇺🇸 defense has more injuries than just Sergino Dest. Soft tissue injuries tend to linger, and I think many of the knocks will carry over into the Copa.
I agree with this and not just because I’m biased which i could be but i still think in form Colombia is number 1. It’s the only team unbeaten in 22 games and the only team unbeaten remaining in the qualifiers. In regard to our names you guys are right but that’s because they aren’t Brazilian or Argentinian. Guess we have to wait and see when they match up.
Biggest thing for Colombia's defense is that it's got perfect depth. For every starting defender, we have a sub that's (almost) as good.
Underrated young CB (Lucumí) gets hurt? We've got Cuesta too.
Slightly washed CB that's still sometimes good (Sánchez) gets hurt? We've still got Mina... for whatever it's worth...
Balanced, GOATed RB (Muñoz) gets hurt? Santiago Arias was about as good... before he got hurt a couple years ago. Still can fill in, though.
Aggressive LB (Mojica) gets hurt? Machado's arguably even better (and Cristian Borja was fantastic when he got called up against Brazil; he didn't get called for Copa América tho, for some reason).
Add Mosquera, who's still not quite there but definitely has the talent to get there (and can actually play both CB AND RB), and our defense is basically bullet-proof at this point. It showed back on our WCQ matchdays 3 and 4, when basically the _entire starting defense lineup_ got hurt at the same time, yet we only conceded 2 to Uruguay (and one of them was due to the GK going postal), and held Ecuador scoreless in Quito, _with a sub GK._
What’s wild about nightmares from TNT is that Alvin Jones scored against us in both games…
Patreon vids must be wild 😂😂
We ramping things up over there for sure
Do podcast about midfield and forward too
Carlos Cuesta and Jhon Lucumi have been Colombia’s starting CBs as of late. Lucumi is already being targeted by man united. Yerry Mina healthy again and has been starting for Cagliari. People can say what they want about Mina, but he’s got goals in him, so more people actually think Mina will start alongside Lucumi at copa.
And at Dead(ball) last place: Belgian's horrendous, slow, penalty causing duo Faes-Vertonghen. Oh wait wrong tourney
Cuti Romero being a top 2 CB in the prem and being top 5 in the world is a howler
I agree with 7th, I wish trusty was brought for lb depth
DBTV WITH THEM WIFE BEATERS🔥🔥🔥
Setting the tone early this episode. Just wait till the midfield

I was at the game between Ecuador and Italy. The crowd was Ecuador 40/60 Italy
I think we're 3rd, would be second if Bielsa played defensive first approach but we don't so that's a knock, having said that I'm not mad at the 4th place rank. I will say the 2 vs Ecuador was with a decimated back line. No Jimenez (suspension) or Araujo (Injury), Caceres was still learning what Bielsa wanted out of him and were playing away. I agree we should have conceded more vs Colombia but that was the only game where we looked shaky in the Bielsa tenure.
Uruguay in the 2-4 range is okay with me cause I agree, if they wanted to play Venezuela or Paraguay ball and sit back, the defensive record would be very close to Argentina’s
I agree with 7th for USMNT too
10:29 but for those two games Chile didn’t have Maripan, who plays in Monaco, due to an injury. Also we have Gabriel Suazo who plays in Toulouse and Paulo Diaz in River. But I agree our weakest point was always the defence
All mid
Hater
I’m still worried about that backline’s physicality… we’ll see at the Copa
@@TheDeadBallTV yeah, but let’s first see against Paraguay in the friendly 😂
@@TheDeadBallTV hater is the one who doesn’t admit Chris Richards is a top 3 center back at the copa, maybe even the best.
The only negative that Romero used to have was he was good for one insanely idiotic play every couple matches where he gets a red. But he has seemed to fix that this season
Mathias Olivera and Jose Ma Gimenez didn’t play against Colombia and Ecuador and Araujo didn’t play against Ecuador. Uruguay has best defense.
I think y'all hating a little too hard on my boy Joe Scally. My man is gonna come out swinging. Joe got that dog in em.
Needed that clean shaves
Not that surprised that any of Concacaf teams are not top 5.
We would’ve been reaching if we had USA or especially Mex that high. Not realistic imo
@@TheDeadBallTV yeah definitely crazy cope lvls
🇯🇲⚽️✅💯🔥
Among the 23 brazilian players that were called up to play against Senegal [the game Brazil conceded 4], 15 PLAYERS WILL NOT BE AT THE COPA AMERICA.
I love how yall keep using in those videos Brazil 2023 stats to judge the current NT, as if the current team is not a really different squad, playing in a completely different level with a new sistem made by the new and better coach.
I dont know if talking shit in a very smug way about one of the favorites [and lets be honest, the most popular team] is some type of strategy to get some clout to this channel either.
I just know that when Brazil start destroying teams yall will look pretty stupid. Unless of course, yall start acting surprised as if is not completely obvious that they are one of the favorites for a reason.
Come on now, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Just because the team and the coach are different doesn't mean they're suddenly a great team. Dorival's Brazil still has to prove itself. Although if I were them I'd focuse more on the qualifiers than in Copa America. Finishing the year below 5th would be disastrous.
@@tomasmaniago5832 Brazil is not a great team, but they are clearly much better then last year. Tying with Spain at the Bernabeu [it should have been 3-1 for Brazil] while missing key players [Neymar, Casemiro, Marquinhos, Silva, Alisson, Ederson, Jesus, Martinelli, etc], with a team full of guys that never had been called up to the national team before [also several from Brazil national league], youngsters, and a new coach with a new sistem, and that doesnt prove anything?
Take away from Argentina, Messi, DePaul, Romero, Martinez, their 2 best goalkeepers, the current coach, and tell them to play in a different sistem. Do you think they are doing the same thing?
Of course the team is not perfect, but my point is, disregarding the facts that the squad, sistem, and coach are completely different than a year ago, and using stats of a year ago to judge the current team, is just nonsensical.
@@Rafael-ez8xe fair point. This Brazil is definetly an improvement from last year's. But in these guys' defense is kinda hard to make an assesment of this team from such a small sample size (2 friendlies). Let's not forget that Brazil went into Qatar as absolute favourites having dominated the qualifiers and being ranked n#1 in FIFA rankings, they had been on a very long run of form to get to that point.
🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
So Brazil with center backs playing in Arsenal, PSG, Juventus and Real Madrid are 6th? Wow...
I have a feeling they can’t get past the EMBARRASSING blunder against Croatia in the WC
Hot Take: Ecuador is actually making it to the finals.
No striker and relying on 17 year old at cam I don’t think so. Colombia, Uruguay, Argentina, and possibly Brazil are all better
@@Tonynotsoprano Yes, but Ecuador only has to beat Argentina in the f semifinals to make it. An Argentina team which doesn’t need to win versus a young Ecuador team that has never won the Copa.
@@brandonbarros793 that’s not an easy task at all. I’d say give Ecuador till next copa to really make some noise. Right now they aren’t ready and are missing one of their best players Estupinan. Also like I said they don’t really have a striker. I like Valencia but he’s aging
Not gonna lie, Romero is a great defender but he's not world-class... he's not Top 2 or 5 in EPL, he's Top 10, no doubt...
uruguay has best defence
You gonna have to break that down for us cause I strongly disagree on all fronts.
Tactical Manager & 11 Yanks think Miles Robinson is awful, as in they think he can’t pass at all or defend, despite Chris Richards being the one making the mistakes. I think both Tac & Pete literally don’t watch any MLS player play ever, so they have no accurate or specific analysis of any MLS players.
You’d have to ask them, but I would say Richards gets a lot of protection from the fanbase in general
Brazil ❤love from Bangladesh
Brazil Defence 1 No
Your support is admirable but that’s is verifiably false my friend
I hope this is like 07 brazil. Nobody gave a sh** . Lost to mexico and end up winning copa america agaisnt arg with messi.
I’m here for the comeback story but Connor will be emotionally devastated
i would spiral into a depressive arc heretofore unbeknownst to mortal men
@@thelokelo and im here for it. ❤️ much love from a Brazilian.

Paraguay has better defense than USA any day
What’s the argument?
@@TheDeadBallTV Paraguay has always been a very bottom heavy team and USA hasn’t really showed anything to say they have better defense than a team who has to play South American talent regularly and fairs decently on defense. This USA haven’t actually been tested yet vs conmenbol teams the biggest win from them is vs Mexico and that don’t say much at all. Not to mention the absence of Dest, decline of ream, and the leakiness they had conceding 2 vs Trinidad. Also the inclusion of Miles Robinson hurts their depth he’s not even good in mls and shaq Moore you gotta be kidding me 😂 I’m not a hater but I just give the edge to Paraguay. Don’t get me wrong antonee Robinson, richards, trusty and adams are good. But idk if it’s truly enough
Fair points all around. I still edge USA because of personnel but they don’t have that lockdown ability that the Paraguayan back line has
