- Legendary rock star Bob Seger is back. He's out with his first studio album in eight years. As Charlie Rose reports, his songs sound like they were written for every working man and woman in America, but there was a time when it seemed his music may not reach the masses. Seger joins "CBS This Morning" to talk about his album and making way for a new tour.
The guy is a legend. Simply, a legend.
Probably the nicest guy in rock n roll. He deserves all the fame and fortune that he's received over the years.
In my view, this man is not only an icon of American rock, but also an inspiring example of humility, a man that put his love of family over money, .... someone wise enough to know that in order to enjoy life, you have to smile easily and allow yourself to enjoy the moment.
One of the top 10 rock stars of all time. Gutty and foot stomping music at its best ! ! ! His music makes you feel alive & happy. A rock legend.

I was in Hollywood in the 70's,at Two Guys From Italy,standing in line to buy a piece of Pizza.I was about 18 or so. I turned around and looked right into the face of Bob Seger. He was in line right behind me,wearing a dark blue baseball cap that said "Peppermint Patty",
One thing that stands out to me about Bob Seger's fan base is that is is very diverse. I saw him in the 90's at the Zoo Amphitheatre in OKC.
I have been a lifelong fan of Bob and just get the slight impression that these folks interviewing him do not really appreciate the true legend in their midst.

Love where he's about to answer the question about which song he would pick and the other interviewer answers it for him. Why don't they just do the whole thing without him if that's how they want to operate.
I have seen dozens of concerts, and his show is easily one of the best. He can play 2 dozen amazing songs, have 2 encores, and still have several other original songs that you wanted to hear. The entire band is exceptional. (I bought a saxophone after seeing Alto Reed live a few years back, [harder than it looks, and I still don't play well]).
Heck yea, Back in the day and even now, Bob Seger can give em a run for their money. One of the greatest rock legends of all time.
He is loved by more than any other artist on this earth!

The harder the struggle the sweeter the feeling in the end . He deserves every accolade. Great words and melodies that fit the man and his voice .
I wish I was older so I could've been around when Bob was breaking the ice with his music and his now older songs were popular, such a wonderful man.
