I think the bike is pretty impressive for what it is. I'm 210lbs and have a 450RX, but my kids now have a 50 and a 110, and the 450 just doesn't want to trail ride behind a 5 year old. So I got a 250f and honestly I never touch the 450 now. The 250f is a blast. Did some minor mods, about $1500 for suspension, exhaust and some small bits and it's an absolute blast. You can ride it for fun and don't have to be on your game all the time like with a 450.

I agree, great bikes especially after a few suspension mods

I had a suspension shop upgrade to race tech front fork springs and rear shock spring. Great improvement for $500. The shop said the front springs were way too small for the bike

My buddy recently got the 250L rally. Spent a bit of time on it and can tell it could use a little better suspension. It seems a bit heavy with all the extra cladding on it etc. My main issue with it as a dual sport 250 is in stock trim, it seems under powered. Maybe a programmer, a pipe and a smaller front sprocket would wake it up a good bit. I do like it overall though for sure. Appreciate the ride buddy!!

I’ve ridden the L and owned a klx and feel like the klx is the better of those 2 bikes, I agree that L model was about the same story, heavy, under sprung and could use a few more ponies

For the price I think it is a great bike. Looking forward to more videos.

I agree, it’s a great machine. No bike is perfect in every way but anyone interested in a reliable air cooled trail bike should consider the 250f

For anyone that’s upgraded to larger foot pegs, did you have to adjust/upgrade the shift lever to make shifting easier afterward?

Overall it sounds like you would still recommend it for a non competition trail bike? I have a big 2-stroke Husky for competition enduro, but I see other folks riding the 250f Honda at some of these events and it has me wanting one for casual riding.

It’s a great bike overall, all bikes need some adjustment to fit each rider and this one is no different. The front suspension is the only “real” complaint I have with the bike, just too spongy

@@DirtRider22a gotcha. Yeah, I got the wife a 125f and it’s a great bike, but like you mentioned we did the bars immediately and the front fork is not set up very well, but it will due for now. Super fun play bike, kinda feels like a built up 110! Making me want the 250.

      @@RacerX400600Absolutely would recommend a 250F for a second fun/casual/play bike ! I have a Husky TE300i and a CRF250F as well, and have a ball on the 250F.
If you want to see it, have a look at Benny Rides Channel, lots of videos of us having fun keeping up with the big boys. You would love it 👍

why might my 250f clunk when applying hard rear brake pressure? (similar the the sound/feel of shifting gears) thats what i dont like about it… any insight is appreciated

I can’t say mine does that, can you replicate it with the bike on a stand and watch to see if something is loose that could be causing it?

      @daver18qc Год назад +2

Probably just the chain bouncing with the suspension movement, if the rear wheel hops on hard braking.

Would 250R forks set up fit correctly on a 250f ?

I doubt they are the same length, and the diameter is different.

It's so hard to say without having an old 400 and weighing 9n the same equipment. You can have two bike testing magazines weigh a bike and get two vastly different numbers, not to mention some weights are with fuel, some without, on a full moon on the third Tuesday of a month starting with A. But a 400f would be awesome!

This guy should not be riding bikes . It's a trail bike!!!!

Pointing out the things that could make this bike better means I shouldn’t be riding bikes at all? I fully understand it’s a trail bike, the best full size air cooled bike on the market in my opinion, that doesn’t mean it couldn’t be better though.
