    Eddie thanks for this lesson . I’m an old guy trying to Learn new tricks. Been around Guitars for a 50+ years. I have set up and tuned lots of guitars(sound and set up man)
    Just starting to try to play. So I am at -0 skill level. I said all that to say …The light bulb came on for me with the Amaj7! From the Amaj7 if you slid your first finger down the G string one fret. Between fingers two and three you are now on an A chord. I’m sure I’m not telling you anything new. Is there a reason you play the A chord 1 2 3 ? Thanks again for sharing your talent. Looking forward to more of your free lessons ( it’s the fixed budget thing )

    Trying to figure out how that can be a Gmaj7 chord. Should have G, B, D and F#, but the chord you're playing has no B in it. Please explain if you get a chance.

    • @kevinkightcrawley7420

      The 1st string g note is a flatted 7th when moved back one space/fret.A G7 chord is not major, it's a 7thchord.Take a major chord,flat the 7th note and u get maj7 chord.

    • @kevincalhoun5612
      @kevincalhoun5612 3 года назад

      @@kevinkightcrawley7420 , I'm not sure that's quite right. Pretty sure the flat 7th gives a dominant 7 chord (aka 7 chord).

    • @kevincalhoun5612
      @kevincalhoun5612 3 года назад

      @@GuitarMasteryMethod, so I guess you could use this voicing for the Gminor7 chord too as it leaves out the third (kind of like a power chord with the 7th thrown in)?
